Highly recommended! I've been a client at the Clairemont Mesa U-Haul for a long time—both for storage and rentals—and I’ve never had a single complaint. In fact, every experience there has been the best I’ve had in a similar business, by far. Many reviews mentioned how friendly and helpful the team is, and I completely agree. But I want to add my two cents: their friendliness isn’t just for show—it’s genuine. Crystal, Jesse, Eddie, Jason, Kirk, Marcus, and the newer team members I haven’t learned the names of yet are simply great people. Plus, the buildings and units are always very clean, and access is easy, making the whole experience even better. They’re not just skilled; they’re willing to help from the moment you walk in until your business is done, even if that takes days. More importantly, they focus on finding the best solution for the customer. I’ve seen this happen multiple times, and recently, Crystal went above and beyond to get me an amazing deal when I needed a second unit. Long story short: I’d give them 10 stars if I could. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

rafaela m | Overall ExperienceI would highly recommend this facility for storage or for rental trucks or trailers. I’ve rented a huge storage unit from them for years, and it’s been great. The price was very competitive, and a few times when my debit card didn’t go through, I got a friendly email letting me know, and I was able to handle it without any harassment or threats like other storage units. The manager is a pleasure to deal with, Crystal is always efficient and professional, and always gives a smile and wave when I see her. She has been so helpful and thoughtful when I lost my card to access the building and when I needed both a truck and a trailer to move and move a car simultaneously here in town. She let me know that I could buy way more boxes than I needed and any I didn’t use I could return, so I did that, and it made moving so easy and returning the unused boxes was a cinch, absolutely no problems there. My storage was very big, easily accessed, the hours were generous, and they have several carts that were most useful. They even have a cart specially designed for moving mattresses, you know how floppy and awkward those things are. I’ve been fortunate enough to be able to go through all my stuff and downsize and swap meet enough that I don’t need the storage any more. So I have left, but if I ever need storage again I know I don’t need to shop around, the U-Haul storage on Copley drive is the best place to store your things. As far as equipment rental, getting trucks and vans has always been been very simple and worry free, and returning them has been easy and hassle free, and the staff has always been friendly and helpful I’ve done business with other places and they just don’t hold up to this one. This is as good as it gets and as cheap as you can hope to get, a value no matter which way you look at it.

Crystal and Richie have been there the whole time—always greeting me with a smile. Very capable as well. On my move out I was backing my U-Box up and Jason ran over and asked if he could help guiding me back. Once that was done, he offered to help with anything else. That “can I help?” seems to be the culture at this location. Again, great people, great location!
