Overall concerns are not with the locations so much as the experience as a whole. When I reserved the cargo van I selected a pickup location 1 mile from my home. This was weeks ago. Two days before my reservation date, I received word that the pickup location would be 20 minutes away - 40 round trip! This completely changed the course of our day. The same thing happened for our drop off location. I chose a location about 2 miles from our end destination. Then two days before was told we would have to drop it off 10 miles from our end destination. It is unreasonable that so much time would go by between the reservation being made and being warned about these changes. For the sake of customer service and repeat business, it would have been worth the efforts of Uhaul to drive the cargo van to the preferred pickup location in advance.

Pick up location was 18 miles from home. Two other U-Haul locations within 2 miles and 6 miles were not offered even though I made reservations 2+ weeks in advance.

I drove the truck 5.1 miles and they charged me back $12.35 for fuel. So either that truck gets 2 miles to a gallon or they fucked me. Care to take a guess which really occurred? I'll be using penske from here on out

Had a very bad experience at Budget. My truck was not available when promised. On a whim drove over to your facility and they had a truck the size needed for a lower cost.

The website was difficult to use to determine what vehicles were available at whatcha store. If the preferred truck size wa not available at the preferred location. The process had to be started over guessing what might be available. It would be better to have a matrix of trucks and locations so that it would be easier to make trade off decisions.

I was very unhappy with my whole rental experience. I drove to my local center where I had gone several times before. They had no trailer and said I couldn't reserve one unless one showed up in their yard. I went to another site, same answer. I called to order one from Midway, paid for it over the phone. Then I get an email saying the location has changed to a place across town. Then on the day of pick up I get a phone call that tells me the 5x8 trailer is now only available at even less convenient location. Why can't I order a trailer in advance and have it at the location convenient for me?

Great selection of moving items, equipment, and trucks. I was able to rent equipment at this location that was not available at another location. On another instance I was able to pick up an item from an online purchase much sooner because they had it in stock. The location is not so easily accessible however. It is far from the freeway and is at the end of a street in a cul-de-sac. It can be difficult to get to depending on which direction you are coming from. Staff is friendly and assistive to your moving needs. This location is great to meet almost all of your moving needs and requirements!

At the end of my trip which I have been moving large items all day, the lady told me that if I don’t fold the blankets, I will get charged. To quote, “you have to return them how you found them”. I spent over $100 to use the truck for one day (including charges to use the blankets) and the store was EMPTY but they can’t fold the blankets? Are you kidding me? What a joke. What am I paying for then?

The associate helping us was a young gentelmen and I felt like he had less energy because he was sick, but my husband felt he was just a lazy person, so I guess I would say more enthusiasm on the associates part (and more empathy from my husband?)

To be perfectly clear, my poor rating is NOT due to the service/equipment at the Copley Dr. location. The staff was friendly, professional and very helpful. That location and team deserve 5 stars. My poor rating is due to the fact that I had to go to FOUR different locations to pick up my “guaranteed” rental despite the fact I reserved the truck 5 days prior. The entire process took me almost two hours and I had to drive over 20 miles around town. The lack of communication between the reservations department and each location was so poor it was absurd! Moving is obviously difficult and frustrating enough, but add in the fact that I was sent from place, to place, to place, TO PLACE, makes it a million times worse! I cannot believe that you have such horrible insight into the inventory of trucks at each location. If you can provide an online reservation service then you shouldn’t even offer it.
