Very poor customer service, not willing to work with me on a issue or accommodate me, even when they knew it was going to make me late. Had to pay quadruple what they originally quoted me. Filed a complaint and they said someone would call me. Never heard from anyone 5 weeks later. They lost a customer for life on a minor issue they refused to budge on. I will dissuade any and all that I know from using uhaul.

The Staff at this location were horrible to say the least. The employees were very rude and unprofessional. Every single question asked was responded with a 'I don't know" or "maybe " or some other unclear answer regarding simple questions .We did arrive right when they closed, but only because we called and confirmed if we would be helped if we arrived a couple minutes late, the representative on the phone said that we would be fine, and when we arrived that was not the case. When we tried to explain how we called , we kept getting interrupted by the staff saying "We Close at 7", we heard this statement from the moment we arrived up until the moment we left over and over again. I understand that the business closes at 7 but that is why we called before we took the drive, now if the person who was on the phone with us was from Customer service and not from the actual office location that should not be the customers fault, and corporate/customer service department and the actual office location need to be on the same page to avoid any misinformation . The employee who helped us was "Jeff" his name tag stated he was an "owner". This employee from the start was very unwelcoming, and had a horrible attitude during the whole process, from his facial expressions , tone in his voice and body language. What really bothered me is that he threw the renter's contract pamphlet at me. Who does that? When he asked for an ID, credit card I handed it to him in his hand as it should be and then he throws the pamphlet across the counter, that was extremely disrespectful and uncalled for and I certainly did not deserve that. As an owner you should be treating your customer's with respect and at this location not once did I feel respected. Not until we mentioned to another staff member that would file a complaint is when Jeff approached my husband and tried to sort things out, he denied throwing the pamphlet which was ridiculous, denied being rude and made excuses. I will certainly not be returning to this location, and I cannot wait until I have all my belongings out of this location. I have never felt so disrespected, unwelcomed and uncomfortable in a professional place of business. This location definitely needs to improve their customer service to say the least.

The lines were incredibly inefficient. I scheduled my truck for 6:30 and waited over an hour for my truck. I paid for two hours worth a truck but only received one hour.

Owner and employees worked to help us get the truck and trailer. Even while first location did not have truck and trailer was late.



Today was almost a complete disaster. I used the U-Haul website to book a 17' truck almost 8 days ago. Immediately on completing the online booking, I got an email that contained a CONFIRMATION number, along with wording that made it seem as if there would be a truck ready for me at my desired location at my chosen time. I got there this morning, and the guy at the storage place had no knowledge of my rental. He also had no trucks in the size I needed and NEVER DOES. After getting the number for U-Haul's central inventory management, I got a very helpful woman on the phone who told me that the email I got was not a real confirmation, and that I should have been contacted to be told where to go to get my truck. She also confirmed that no one called me. She told me that my truck was ready at another location, almost 12 miles the wrong way from where I needed to go, through heavy rush hour traffic. Nope. Not going there. I finally found a (smaller) truck at an acceptable location, but it was not a good start to my moving day. Bottom line, someone needs to change the wording on the email you get after making an online reservation to make it VERY, VERY clear that it is not a final reservation confirmation. And then they need to CALL ME! Everyone I talked to at the local rental places (including Clairemont and the central dispatch number) was very nice and helpful. This was a failure of the internal system U-Haul uses to confirm reservations.

I was assisted by Elijah and Kevin. They were patient, helpful, and explained the contracts clearly and concisely. The trailer was in great shape and the storage unit I rented was very clean and well maintained. I have no suggestions for improvement.. The facility is great and these guys are excellent and pleasant to do business with.

Once It was my turn the check out and hook up of my trailer went really quickly and without incident. The trailer was in great shape and pulled really easily.
