Cómo funcionan los comentarios de U-HaulAttendant was super friendly, even walked us to the entrance. He showed us where the carts and elevators were. However, we were left confused about entering the code, which was denied, it set off the alarm when we opened our unit. Then, the garage doors wouldn’t open and we couldn’t leave. Fortunately a car came in and we able to leave! I know some of this was our fault, but we would have liked more direction.
Paul M | Mudanza en líneaDue to age, the building's main entrance is difficult to open.
Chao G | Mudanza en líneasevere water damage and destruction of some of my belongings due to staff negligence of not closing windows during rainstorms, and the storage room flooding over 4th of July long weekend. Only (1) person on staff that particular day was willing to talk to me about what had happened, who was in fact quite helpful, the others were avoidant of the situation and anything I tried to ask them. Manager was completely unhelpful when finally reached via email, nearly a week later, and immediately denied any such thing taking place without me producing extensive documented evidence, instructing me to take it up with UHaul corporate. Will be warning others far and wide to avoid UHaul storage.
Andrea G | Experiencia generalWhen I first rented they gave me a key card but did not specify the hours or offer me 24 hour access and that ended up causing a problem and I called the managers number and left multiple messages and NEVER got a call back even the next day. Also while there I unfortunately triggered an alarm but no security ever can by to investigate the alarm. We were there for 2 hours after the alarm quit and no security. Also, I rented.a truck from them and a dolly but there was no dolly (picked up after hours- if can’t rent one for pickup after hours let the renter know!!! Also the gas was on EMPTY with the light on. It should be at least ¼ full form renter Not a fan!!!!
Michael B | Experiencia generalIm so grateful, was helpful & made things easy.
Samantha R | Experiencia generalWhen we moved our daughters stuff out for the school year, mice had gotten into some of the totes. The boxes were full of mouse dropping & they had ripped open a big bag of hot cocoa mix & got it all over everything. Those totes had to be thrown away. We told a worker when we turned everything in & they just said ok.
Anthony N | Experiencia generalThe entire staff was very helpful, listened and was very clear on different aspects of me moving out of my storage and renting a van on a couple of times. I appreciate the hard work and sacrificed time put in to maintain a well oiled establishment. Yes things do happen. Thank you.
Joseph v | Experiencia generalIsaiah is very professional, very helpful and knowledgeable! He is friendly and you can tell he loves his job and loves to help people! I’m glad that he assisted me in my move in date because he made it an easier task for us! Thank you for employees like Isaiah! He deserves a recognition!
MADELIN R | Primeras impresionesThe day I move all my stuff ! They request a picture that storage unit was empty. So I did that and I went to show them but they never remove me from the system and that end charge me 2 more moths Unbelievable
Sandra T | Experiencia generalWe had a little trouble navigating the steps to properly access our unit when we first rented it. The staff was extremely helpful and helped walk us through the process.
Clifton F | Experiencia generalThe basement flooded during rain and the side where my storage was got completely flooded and all my clothes got moldy and were unsalvageable. We were also not informed of this event so negligence, miscommunication, and poor facilities were at play.
Sophie N | Experiencia generalEveryone was very nice and very helpful.
diane j | Experiencia generalI didn’t intend to lose my storage, but I just started working this week, and I’m sick over it, but I know you cant wait another 2 weeks.
Paul G | Experiencia generalIsiah the representative at 83 Water st New Haven is a great guy , kind and very professional
Mohamed B | Primeras impresionesThe store unit was so perfect for our things.
Sandra T | Primeras impresionesOne of my packages was open in the corners by rats.. but everything else was good
belinda j | Experiencia generalI had a horrible first time experience!!!! It took the person so long to check me in that the other agent gave my van away and so I had to wait longer. Also he did not give me a key card to access the facility. Per the mobile sign up and check in I just needed an access code but that sis not work so I had to wait online and apparently I needed a card to access the facility which I was able to but when I returned after hours the card did not work. Fortunately there was another person there who was able to let me in. I called the facility general manager as it stated to do so (before 10 pm and just go boice mail. I left a message and have yet to hear from her. Also. I mistakenly opened up an unlocked locker and the alarm went off but no response to the faculty. This has me a bit concerned about the safety of the area if there is a break in. I have no other option but to keep the storage there but if I could I would consider moving the items to another facility.
Michael B | Mudanza en líneaThe staff at the New Haven U-Haul facility on Water Street has always been extremely helpful. Appreciate it! I recommend this facility to anyone in need of storage in New Haven.
