UHaul should be ashamed to have their name associated with this facility. I have never dealt with with such incompetence, laziness, and rudeness in a collective group of people who are supposed to work in customer service. I used a Penske truck to move out of the unit, which is the first time in my life not using a UHaul. Shout out to Ashley Skinner who was the only helpful person who showed understanding and followed through on what she said she would do during this whole saga. First before choosing U-Boxes to move my stuff I specifically asked on call if they would be able to get them moved to Storage Unit area so I could unpack into a storage unit. They said it would be no issues. Turns out that wasn't the case and I was forced to rent a truck, unpack from the U-Box, drive 500ft to the next driveway, and then unload again. I would have really appreciated being told about the trailers they have to tow the U-Boxes during our discussion around this. My U-Boxes were closed to 2 weeks late and this was going to put me a day past having to pay another month.I called to discuss this getting a few days grace period. I couldn't remember what they where called so I said UHaul's version of PODS. This led to a 10 minute belligerent conversation with a woman who couldn't make the connection and just kept telling me UHaul doesn't have PODS. I had to pull into a parking lot and look up the U-Box name until she would "help" me. I was told that was a corporate thing and needed to call them. Called the number and they said it would have to be handled by the local store. Call back local store and this time I'm told it's not their issue and that I need to contact the 3rd party shipping company who I don't know and don't have a contract with. Call corporate number again and plead with person for help. They said they would make a note and if I did get charged to call the number and they would get it refunded. Then gave move day. I showed up to check into the 10x10 storage you unit that I paid for. I was told they didn't have any of those and I'd have to pick something else. After some back and forth and finding a manager it took about 30-40m they gave me 5x10 and 10x5 at the 10x10 price. During that time I watch belligerent conversation with another customer who they couldn't help the day before because they system was down. A few months later I receive a message asking me to leave a review as I had check out. That was news to me as my stuff was very much there. I called local store nobody answered so it transferred me to call center. They instructed me that it needed to be handled locally but they had a messaging system. They said they would leave them a message letting them know it was urgent and they would call be back in a little bit. Nobody called, which is standard operating procedure, as for the 8-10 times I went through this process or was told someone would call be back it NEVER happened. Not a single time. After 3-4 hrs I called back and got gentleman who asked what more storage units were but I couldn't remember. Strangely it wasn't listed in the UHaul app because I had checked out which seems to me like a flaw. He took my name and number and told me he didn't have me in the system and I would need to call back at 7:30 in the morning to try and get a manager. I was worried about my things so I had to make a 25m drive make sure my things were alright. I called back 7:30 same process of no answer, call center leaving message no callback.Called back in a 2-3 hours and expressed some frustration when I was told they would have a manager call me back. After asking to speak with a manager she came back about 20m later and said the manager reached out to the "Storage Unit Specialist" and she was going to call me in a few minutes. Waited 1-2 hours and called back. This time I did let it be known at this point it was getting ridiculous she was very short and borderline rude. After 15m she came back and told me Manager said there was a "glitch" and they were putting me back into the system with a month free rent. Next month I'm back in the system but they are charging me separately for the 2 units which is about $70 more a month. Started the No Answer, Call Center, Leave message route twice. On the second time I express frustration and lady at call center got me connected with local associate. She then instructed me that she had only been there a few days and I needed to talk to Storage Unit Specialist and gave me a number to call. The associate who answered was confused at first because they only had trucks but after explaining he tracked down Ashley. She was understanding, promised she was going to help, and gave me her direct email. With in 20-30 minutes I received follow up letting me know it was resolved. Last Friday I went to move some of my fragile stuff in my car. The bathroom was covered with feces. It was still that way Saturday afternoon talking with another customer they said it was that way Thursday

Desmond “Dez” was fabulous so was James! They both handled anything that came up! They were both professional and charismatic and carried a rather interesting colloquialisms!!!

It's really hard to manage a location that huge but they seem to somehow do it. Every moment was fun and light and free around them because they were so efficient yet they were genuinely good people. This location is very strong in care and efficiency while being very friendly.

Overall the staff was very nice and helpful. The Uhaul system, Ai, the way the system works or doesn't work, the app, customer service via phone, managment, and this particular facility need to be upgraded... The bathrooms, & lot also need to be better maintained. Access to the bay was inaccessible because unattended Uhaul equipment was blocking access to the bay.

CASSIE B | First ImpressionsThe facility and storage unit was appropriate and fit our needs very well. The app has been very usual as well. Unfortunately, the ever changing staff were poorly trained (if at all), unable to thoroughly and accurately address the our basic questions without asking the manager, who was rarely there or available, or ask us to contact corporate or comeback at another time for an answer. Not a one time experience I’m afraid. Lastly and lately, it’s become harder to identify who works there as few staff wear any U-Haul identifiable clothing or badge. And over the weekend, the person working was tossing football around the parking lot with his friends when we tried to simply buy a few storage boxes. No customer service, poorly trained, and clearly they don’t want to be there. Makes for a poor customer experience with a company that provides a valuable service.
Nick S | Overall ExperienceGetting the unit quickly became a hassle. Initially reserved online but wasn’t made aware that meant I had to check in during business hours, which resulted in being unable to unload the truck the day I reserved the unit and requiring an extra day with the truck. Upon going to the facility to check in in person the next day I was given a unit number which wasn’t the size I’d reserved/requested. When I went back to the desk I was told they didn’t have one the size I needed. After trying other storage locations I returned and spoke with a different employee who gave me a unit in the size I’d originally requested, magically there were four now. I’m not sure if it’s better training on the storage portion of the job that is needed or just encouraging employees to look for what’s requested instead of just saying you don’t have it. But regardless the entire situation was disappointing and frustrating. The unit itself, once we got the right size, was totally fine and served the intended purpose.

Becky W | Overall ExperienceThis U-Haul Storage facility has quite possibly the worst customer service I've ever seen. With the exception of one employee named James, every other person there is completely inept, habitually absent, and occasionally downright hostile. During the course of my renting a unit there, I was unable to get a prepaid debit card that I was forced to have mailed there for lack of any other permanent address. The mailbox was locked, and (in spite of their assurances to the contrary) I was never given the letter containing two weeks pay, since I never could check the mail myself. Pushing the issue escalated to the point where one of the black thugs who worked there got into a shouting argument with me at one point. Calling the cops didn't help because they weren't interested in getting to the bottom of the matter. Then, I was told I had to vacate the property in a week's time. I did finally manage to vacate and move to another far cheaper unit, and U-Haul still tried to charge my prepaid debit card for several months long after they knew I was long gone. Again, it's one of the worst run businesses I've ever had the displeasure to run into from the manager on down to the rest of mostly black riff raff, who pretend to work there but in reality are just collecting an undeserving paycheck.
