The store employee left me waiting 30 minutes when I came to return the truck because she was “moving slow because of a panic attack”. Told me she would be back in a bit or if she passed out another employee would be there soon. When I asked for my receipt because the truck rental was for work and I needed to turn a receipt into my boss, the manager informed me that she couldn’t print a receipt for me because she just hadn’t had time to go to the store recently to get paper. But if I wanted to wait longer she would go to the store to get paper and come back(very sarcastic). Pretty lame customer service and just a poor experience all around. Did not have the equipment I needed so of course I had to get the next size up. I would avoid. Use extra gas and find the next closet uhaul

I walked in the office, 3 people waiting, one person said they were there for 15 minutes. And had not been greeted. I called the office number and someone came out from in the storage units. They waited on the three people in front of me and by the time I was waited on I had been there for 45 minutes. Ellinore was polite and apologized for the wait.

The service was great, knowledgeable, and friendly. Very polite and helpful. By far the best location in the WNC area. I have used U-Haul a lot to move friends and family, and by far the best experience yet. We will use the same location next time.

The size truck I reserved was not on site so I ended up paying more for a larger truck. I did not appreciate the "bait and switch" but did not have time to argue about price

One person on duty; had to wait until person became available to help. The inside of the U-Haul store was small, cluttered and not well organized to sell accessories needed for moving. Since there was only one person if anyone had any questions on accessory items for sale, may not have received the help needed.

Have the equipment that is stated to be at a location actually at a location. I assumed because I made a reservation a full week in advance that it would be. Instead, I lost 2 and a half hours to having to go to a different location because of a logistics error. Which ended up costing me $200 with my hired help sitting idle getting paid to wait.

Hire new staff. Discuss the basics of customer service. Vehicle inspections should include interior both pre and post rental. Worst experience that I have ever had at uhaul. Will never use again.

Appointment was at 7am and the employee did not arrive until 730am.I expressed my displeasure with the tardiness and the employee offered a discount which I accepted. Upon return of the equipment 8 hours early I received my receipt the next morning with the difference between the discount and full price charged to my card. I called the store and was told a manager would call me back right away and as of this writing no one has called me yet. Extremely poor customer service and extremely poor punctuality.

The vehicle was ready and waiting, but it took almost an hour to find the keys. They are not very organized. I experienced a similar level of disorganization when I dropped off a vehicle at the same location four months prior. Both times the manager was not on site, leaving the entire operation to be run by employee(s), while nice people, they were overwhelmed and under supervised. Also, the email of my receipt......the attachment is a blank.

My original reservation was for the Swannanoa River Rd location, but due to a "computer error", the truck I reserved wasn't at that location when I arrived. There were other trucks on the lot, but I was told they were reserved for other customers. I guess their reservations were more important than mine. They sent me to another location (Sweeten Creek), which was really inconvenient and caused me to lose 2 hours of my moving time. When I asked if I could return the truck to the Swannonoa location, I was told I couldn't, so then I had to pay for extra gas to get the truck back to a location that was far away from where I using the truck. It was a really disappointing experience overall and caused an already stressful moving experience to be even more stressful. Luckily, Ryder and Penske are both in this area, so I might consider using them next time.

Need to explain drop off charge for pads and hand cart with a one way rental. We turned in pads and cart at the designated drop off location with the truck and were charged a "wrong destination" equal to the original charge. This was a surprise.

Rep at location was very helpful. Actually helped me connect the trailer. Even did a walk around which did not happen on my last trailer rental at a different location. Seemed like she appreciated the business - wonderful attitude. Might tidy up the shop a bit though :)

I will never use U-haul again. The U-Box process was unorganized and I received terrible customer service. Not only from the location in Asheville but every location involved. When I called trying to track the location of the U-Box when the Box was supposed to arrive 2 days prior, I would be transferred from person to person, no one was respectful or knew how to help. Even when I tried to pay for my box with a different card, no one was able to help. I was trying to give you money and your couldn't figure that out. There is clearly a lack of communication from U Haul Headquarters down. Y'all need to figure some things out before I consider going through this process again.
