When I initially booked with Uhaul, it was at the Dundas Street location for a Cargo Van. The booking was confirmed and I received an email confirmation. I then receive a call indicating there were no more vans at that location, so they booked a van for me at the Weston Road location. On my way to pick up the van, I received a call from the office asking if I am still going to pick it up. I assured them I was on my way. When I get there, I had to wait 45 min before I was able to speak to someone and when I finally did, they told me there were no more vans available. They gave me a truck instead which was no problem, however, the only truck that was there was one that was just dropped off and did not have time to be cleaned so he assured me I would not get charged for the cleaning fees. The Uhaul rep specifically wrote on my estimate invoice that it was "Sent out dirty". I still have the document to prove it. If you require a paper document, please let me know and I can send it by email. I brought the truck back before closing and received an electronic invoice which includes a cleaning fee and cleaning tax. I do not appreciate this run around, change, and readability. Employees at 355 Westob rd. Toronto location were extremely courteous and helpful. We interacted well. Pickup of truck was processed in a rinely fashion. Would highly recommend this location .

I reserved a 17ft truck but when I got in to pick it up I was informed that it hadn't been returned. So I had to settle for a smaller truck, or pay more for a larger one. Then I was informed that my VIP code had to be applied prior to picking up the truck - after I'd been told it was to be applied upon return of the truck.

The app crashed 2 times on me while returning the van. My boyfriend had to do it on his phone after being on hold for 20 mins with a Uhaul rep.

Changed my location to far away, had to pay subsequent TTC and Uber rides for this terrible service. I called three times, was told I've get a call back, never did. No empathy and caused a lot of stress, overall a really stressful and frustrating situation to be in be. Completely disappointed and angered with the experience.

I just wanted to mention how awesome the employees were at this location! Especially the girl who processed my transaction when I picked up the rental truck! I have also had her help me at the Jane and 401 location as well and she has been just fantastic! Amazing customer service, very fast and efficient! I will be going back to those 2 locations specifically because of her and her customer service.

Wow! The women working at this location were absolutely WONDERFUL! I came in on July 1st to rent my 9 foot van and it was really busy. I waited for about an hour until I got my van, which was really no big deal because things don't always work out according to schedule on moving day. There were a lot of miserable and stressed out people (it was 45 out and a full moon, and people are batshit crazy during a full moon), but the two ladies helping out at the counter were POWERHOUSES! They have the patience of saints and definitely deserve a paid day off or a bought lunch for the shit they had to go through that day. People were pissed about waiting in line but hey, if they checked their reservations correctly they wouldn't have had to wait only to be told they got the wrong location and then yell at the women working about how pissed off they were and waste everyone else's time. Honestly, give these women a raise or something. They were fantastic. The least you can do is sing their praises for a month because honestly, I would have cried and quit on the spot if I were them. Great location, great customer service.

Shannon, the General Manager at this location was obviously overwhelmed by the volume of customers requiring service. I was advised to pick up my uHaul vehicle at 10:00 AM on July 1 and didn't actually acquire it until 10:56 AM. Additionally, I had reserved a dolly and furniture pads, neither of which were available at the time of pick up. Shannon was rude to customers, answering what looked to be her personal cell phone, while approximately 10 customers were waiting in line. In addition to my poor experience at this location, there was lots of confusion regarding my reservation and pick up location. I spoke with a customer service representative at least 3 times prior to picking up the van to 1. Change the assigned pick up location because the original was a 1 hour drive from my home; 2. Change the date of the pick up to accommodate the change in pick up location; 3. Change the assigned time to the morning after the initial customer service representative did not fulfill my request to have a morning pick up and was assigned 2:00 PM instead.

Reservation for a different location. Showed up there and no truck (207 weston rd). They said go to 355 weston. Had to wait an hour for a truck, then was told the time period of my reservation (24 hours - which had been confirmed twice with uhaul customer service) would only be 12 hours. In the end, returned next day with no real issues, but way too much stress and hassle on move day.

Disclosure, disclosure, disclosure. We were disappointed to be told at the time of pick up that we needed a reference. This is ambush and is unnecessary. We were also disappointed that your agent did not refer to our prior booking online and ended up processing a wrong charge. To her credit she rectified this and charged the correct charge.

Manager Shannon was spoken to and my frustration was advised to her. She advised that she will follow up with me later that day but that never happened. All in all, an extremely frustrating experience in a highly important time in my life. I was stuck with a Uhaul 20 ft truck and extra parking costs for 2 days which uhal never accommodated me for. I will strongly suggest everyone to be extra vigilant when choosing Uhaul because I personally will never recommend Uhaul to anyone. Ever.
