SERGIO M | First ImpressionsIt's unfortunate this only allows "yes/no" answers. The experience was not that black and white. Storage access hours were great in theory; but there were multiple times there was a glitch on U-Haul's end that prevented me from having access during access hours. If the glitch happened during non-business hours (which it often did), I ended up not having access at all. At one point, I was locked out of my storage unit for two weeks due to a glitch on U-Haul's end, which greatly interfered as it happened when I was in the last leg of moving, and caused costly delays, both in terms of time and stress. Communication wasn't always great. Staff was usually helpful and friendly, but that wasn't something I could count on. There were also seriously long waits to get help from staff in the office. I learned to plan an hour or more in my schedule even for the simplest of questions. The place was clean. There was no evidence of mice on any of my belongings, even though they had been in storage for 14 months, which I was very excited about.

LAWRENCE F | First ImpressionsMy family just moved to Mechanicsburg and had never been to the facility before. The text message I received contained the gate code and unit number…and nothing more. Thankfully I arrived when the office was attended and the UHaul person was able to assist me. Otherwise I would have struggled to find the unit. On property, there are 4 buildings….none of them are marked on the outside as to which units (1-XX) are contained within. Had no one been there, I would have had to walk through each building to find my unit. Please update the automated message to indicate which units are in which building. Second, if the agent would not have been there, I would not have know to use the “UHaul App” to return the trailer after hours. That would be useful information to send in a text to customers the day of drop off/return. Thank you for your time and consideration. Regards, Nick
nicholas m | Online Move InThe staff was friendly, but I have a concern about the hidden fees. For instance, we were required to buy specific types of locks from them for $10, and 24-hour access was an additional $10, which I believe should have been disclosed upfront. Lastly, there were no larger units available, so we had to purchase two units at full price without any discount.
