Normally this location is top notch, but this time I had a very bad experience. The yard attendee first yelled at me for starting to hook the trailer before he got there. Later I asked a question about the check in process, and he stated he had no answer, and if I did not like it go to Penske. When I returned 4 hours later, I stopped and asked if he would like the trailer back in the same spot, He directed me to pull under the canopy. I started unhooking the trailer, and he came out yelling "that is my work, stop doing my work. I have to inspect this trailer, hook it back up" Everyone else present in the yard was staring at us, The desk person had come out, and scanned us in, and told us we were good. I have never had an experience at uhaul like this. I will not use this location again if I have a choice.Richard P.

This was our second stop at a UHaul location. We reserved a van in advance and when we showed up to the Simpson Ferry location, the van keys were not there. We were shuffled around on the phone to four different people who did not help us. We were told the last customer did not return the keys and they couldn't help us. After 45 minutes, someone was finally able to transfer our reservation to this location. We have no complaints after we actually received the vehicle. Unfortunately, we lost an hour of moving time with the van.Kyle M.

Saturday morning, two people working the desk, 11am, one worker has to go scrape ice off of a windshield, one young at the desk incompetent or maybe in training, I'm third in line upon arrival, 30 minutes later I'm first in line with 7 people behind me. After worker comes in room, she picks up the phone and her attention shifts to someone looking for a vehicle still with 7 people in line. Then she stops and goes to look out of the office for phone callers request. Unacceptable!Chad D.

The pictures that your company provided to ok were totally unexceptional, to small and should NEVER be taken with the sun behind the vehicle. I noticed a scratch on the front left above the passenger seat on the box. The pictures "looked the same so I approved as was. However when returning the vehicle they said I did the damage (scratches that removed the number) yet every road I went down had nothing to cause this , and the lady was informed of the roads traveled and she stated "yeah those are wider open , but you approved the pictures!) Here is the problem, why are we approving a 1Ã-2 inch picture on a phone, instead of a computer or tablet, all of which you can provide! Oh wait it's 200.00 for a tablet which will provide a larger pictur. Lucky for me I did get the coverage, but I will definitely not be approving a postage stamp photo any more of rented vehicle After I found this out I walked with the next couple to make sure everything that even looked like damage or a scratch was noted. I will be going back tomorrow to make sure the itty-bitty little x stickers are on the vehicle. Very unhappy about this experienceROBERT H.

The back tires on the vehicle were too worn. We had snow the second day of our rental. My husband almost went over a bank trying to get the truck up our driveway. If you are going to have trucks in the Northeast in the winter have decent tires on them.Jeffrey P.

There was a broken tail light The van was cleaned I had difficulty checking in on the Uhaul app I had to repeat doing things several times because the application timed out There was multiple damages on the exterior that was not marked It took me a while to completen the check in Also the USB port for phone charging was pushed in and unusable The clerk did loan me an adapter to plug it in the cigarette lighter type port to to be able to plug it in I was also charged a $5 fuel fee even though I returned it at the correct level this has happened before at this location I sent an email requesting that be refunded.Tina N.

I was charged a fuel fee even after filling the tank back to what I thought was correct but it was 1/16 different that the original even though the fuel gauge isn't measured in 1/16. So when I questioned it the old man at the return tried to intimidate me saying â€œI've had this conversation with guys twice your sizeâ€ not sure what my size had to do with a fuel charge. Then the manager got involved and agreed with him that I owed the fuel charge. I don't care about the $7 charge. I do however care how I was treated by the employees. I've had a storage unit for years at this location that I will be moving to a new facility in a week or so. I will never do business with uhaul again.DILLON Z.

Have rented several times over the last few years and this is the first and hopefully last bad experience. First, I was unable to check in on the app with my account. Every time I tried to do so, it would request another code, and then kick me back. I think was caused by the change that was made to my reservation. I had rented a van to pick up up at 11am. When I arrived I had been "upgraded" to a 10'. I didn't need nor wanted a 10' for the job I was doing. The ride was rougher and I also had to find rope to tie things down. A van was what I needed and why I reserved a VAN! I should have been notified of this change ahead of time. If your location could not provide the reserved a vehicle, arrangements with other locations should have been made. Also, the 10' that I was given was severely beaten up, had bad suspension, with dents and paint scrapes all over, including the front right turn signal light popping out which I had to jam back in several times during my rental (this was mentioned upon return to check-in.) This vehicle should never be rented out again.RICHARD F.
The pre rental inspection of the trailer was lacking. There was a light out. The technician hooking up the trailer found it. When he tried to replace it he found a broken wire. He fixed it and we went on our way. Cost us 15 to 20 minutes.MARK F.

I think that when going over the vehicle before you leave the lot. The pictures on the site need to match where on the body of the vehicle the x's are are. The pictures make it confusing when you look at them and there is no damage to match where the x's are.Kathy E.

Truck should be aligned, steering had a LOT of play... tires cupped... It truly looked like it had been to hell and back It was dinged profoundly on both sides and the front bumper with multiple dinged as well ... while clean and functional it looked very rugged. It was a 2011 with 113k and should have been replaced a long while ago!!JONATHAN R.
