Timothy M. | First ImpressionsThe overwhelming amount of customers versus employees makes it difficult to receive decent service from this facility. I’m being charged for a storage I no longer have and it’s taking management days to respond/resolve this issue. When leaving the facility I was really adamant about not being charged. The representative even showed me her screen and stated “my account is closed”. I’ve never experienced such bad customer service before. This facility is in dire need of help.
KECIA B. | Overall ExperienceThis facility is managed pretty poorly. We have a number of issues we have tried to address directly with corporate, never to be heard from. Ive seen it all between the facility where i rented and the facility that managed it remotely. Food scattered across the storage facility floor for days on end, people living in units, an employee almost running over customers while in reversee and hitting another van, the manager pretending she isnt a manager to avoid having to deal with upset customers, contracts for rental equipment being wrong and them trying to force a customer to leave with a bad contract( like plates not matching ect..). I myself have had a number of issues being overcharged because i was never signed up for automatic payments like i had asked for and they refuse to make it right. This uhaul has literally stole money from me for profit on more than one occasion. After being screamed at and harassed for an entire day by your staff while they called me repeatedly i realized i no longer wanted anything to do with uhaul. What and awful company to do business with and i will make sure to spread the word to never do business here. To make matters worse when i called to cancel units they tried to tell me they couldnt help me cancel my unit and i would have to call back tomorrow. What a joke of a facility....
lauren v. | Overall ExperienceThis facility and the facility that manages it, near the Port of Albany, are disorganized and under-maintained. There is a lack of communication and between the Erie Blvd facility and the managing Broadway location which has caused me inconvenience on more than one occasion. In addition, the first garage bay door has been out of order for as long as we have rented units there. On the weekends, this forces people to wait to load/unload. I'd also like to mention that I had multiple units there and, on more than one occasion, I swiped the wrong U-haul card and set off the alarm on my unit when I opened it. Not once did I ever see any indication that employees are notified or check up on the alarms. I was not contacted in any way and this does not give me great confidence in the security at this location. Any one could show up and break into a unit and I don't think they would be stopped or even noticed until a customer notices themself.
William D. | Overall ExperienceThe elevator was broken for the first 4 months of usage due to heavy flooding last summer and I had to go up and down 3 flights of steps in the dead of summer. It was awful. Other than that, everything was fine.
MELANIEHOPE P. | Overall ExperienceYall literally are trash. I put in an order online for an 8×10. Apparently your online reservations don't translate correctly to the store staff because I got a 4×4 first and then an 8×8 on the second try. Wasted four hours of my time. Won't be using yall again.

charmaine r. | First ImpressionsI rented a unit and I'm at a point in my life where if it could go wrong it will. So I put my stuff in uhaul storage because my apartment wasn't big enough and Thank God I did that because the new apartment I moved into caught fire. On May 22 my a couple days later I caught a heart attack. After my release from the hospital I was staying in a homeless shelter and hotels. Due to the fact I lost my phone I couldn't get any calls or listen to my voice mails. I bought a new phone and finally did listen to my voice-mail and one in particular was from uhaul stating that if I didn't reach out to them my property will be auctioned on JULY 1. This is where the problem starts. So June 30 I called uhaul. I called 7 times and 7 times I was put on hold and never got to speak with anyone because they kept putting me on hold then the call hangs up. I arrived at uhaul the next morning early to find out what's going on I speak to the manager and show her my call log and she calls he GM to inform him that I have been calling and that I want to pay for my unit and she tells me that it was auctioned online and there is nothing they can do. So she spoke back with her GM and he told her that the best thing he can do is allow me to take my things out right now. So I did that I got my things and decided that I will never again rent any of uhaul,(trucks ,storage or anything pertaining to the UHAUL BRAND. The thing is that I only owed UHAUL for 2 lousy months as if it couldn't get any worse for me after all I've been through in the last 45 days. I have a social media account and I'm gonna release the video of it all and I know my 40 thousand followers isn't alot but that 40 thousand potential customers that will not be using your business. I have audio of your GM and manager allowing me and assisting me into committing a crime of stealing my stuff back that was sold on an online auction. Now I have video of the young lady saying well we'll atheist let you take the things back if you can take it today the world will see that Uhual does not care about people's property and they look to make money either by renting u a unit or making money selling families memories and total disregard for compassion. So no I will not recommend any of my friends to do business with Uhual. I hope you people at UHAUL actually read these comments but you will see the video shortly once the world see what you put families that are going through a crisis.
