Had a great experience at this location . The employee Juan B was very thorough in how he explained the usage of the car and what to do before and after . I arrived 3 minutes to closing time and he was outside in the rain waiting for me to help me check the vehicle and park it . I have used U-Haul at various occasions and this was by far the best experience because of an employee going the extra mile . Five Star Services at U-Haul Somerville.

My trailer was returned 4 days later than it should have been and I was charged for 3 extra days. This issue has not yet been resolved and I have been charged an extra $84. I would greatly appreciate help in fixing this.

I had trouble with the online after hours check out process because I had booked the truck on my home computer and not my phone so it made it complicated to check out. Also it wasn’t clear to me that I had to do the whole checkout process before putting the key in the key drop. Also I got an email That came in at 1:57am telling me there would be a $20. after hours drop off fee which was never mentioned when I called to extend the length of time of the rental. In fact I had asked when first renting what would happen if I was late coming back and it wasn’t mentioned that there is a twenty dollar after hours drop off fee. If this is the case, that info should be up front. I’m hoping that charge will not be applied.

I was given a van with a quarter tank of gas, no one showed me where the van was, and then no one was there when I returned the van at around 11:30am. I returned the van with a quarter tank of gas and was charged an exorbitant amount of money for a refuel, effectively doubling the rental cost. I would like to speak to someone about removing the refueling costs.

When dropping the equipment off, it would be nice to receive some sort of "proof"/receipt rather than "you are all set".

I was told that the tank was full. Once I got in the truck and was about 10 minutes down the road, I looked and realized it was only a quarter tank. I did not have time to return to remedy this. So I had to call and have them make a note in my record that this was indeed the case. I also took a photograph for evidence. This caused a bit of stress to me, not knowing whether or not the reality would be honored upon my arrival in Portland.

A more thorough clean in the cab would be nice. Steering wheel was sticky and dirt/dust in center console.

Not only would I not reccommend this location (nor mobile check-in); I'm so dissatisfied with my experience that I'm compelled to go out of my way to tell people NOT to use it. The truck was dirty, you didn't have the mattress bag that I purchased and you CHARGED me for. Then I got charged at the end location for adding extra miles to my trip because I had not anticipated having to stop at Target (30 minute detour in each direction) to buy a mattress bag for 4x the price that you sell them for.
