The truck had > 100,000 miles, was very loud in the cabin, and had no knob on the fan control so I had to use pliers to control airflow. Plus the engine had a hard time keeping up with traffic

I already have a issue ticket open with Shawntell the number is 1975888. I returned the truck with more gas then it had when I picked it up and more than I was asked to put in it when returned. I picked it up with just under a 1/4 tank and returned it with just over 1/4 tank. I only drove the truck 36 miles. I'm very upset.

The back door wouldn't shut properly because it had been in an accident prior to our pickup. It was covered in black 'x's and the 'door ajar' light was going off the whole time.

When I got to shop it took forever to find the reservation. I did not get his name the kid with the dreadlocks was not very helpful he marked the fuel 1/8 higher than it read. I asked him to do a walk around of van. He told me just to take pictures. I went back in to tell him van was full of trash and had not been swept out. He told me probably a night drop off. Don't worry I won't hit you with a cleaning fee. I also don't like Chevy van manual key to unlock and no power mirrors. I'm not sure you could have a van with less option. The rearview camera is a joke. Too small and no contact alarm. Blind spot detection would be a huge help as well. I much prefer the Fords. I rent a half a dozen times a year from Uhaul. I have had great customer service from this location in the past. It might be time for a district manager to spend a week or two and do a little house cleaning. Not sure I'm going to rent from this location any time soon. Thanks Nick

Dropping off after hours might need a slight revamp. We were advised to park the rental in the designated rows however many others must've also been returning after hours because the lanes were full and we were nervous about where to leave the truck. Maybe note an additional parking area?... Otherwise very good easy transaction :-).

I will never use Uhaul, neither will any of my friends. The front desk agents are the worst set of customer service people ever born on mother earth. Screamed at me, got my reservation wrong, made me wait for hours and was not apologetic.I contacted the live chat agent about my experience, efforts to get remote help did not yield because they would not pick their phone. Rude set of people. They are pure racist.

Location is a busy part of Boston, so it is a little tricky to get too. Also, the personnel was helpful, but they never checked in my trailer, so I had to make several calls to U-Haul after being told my trailer was "not returned and overdue". Eventually the problem was resolved, but it took a lot of extra time.

I only drove 7 miles in a van and was charged $30 to refill the gas tank. I expected to pay more to have Uhaul fill the tank, but that wasn't fair.

There was garbage in the trailer that I had to clear from the trailer. Would be nice to start with a clean trailer. Other than the trash, the trailer was in good condition.

First employee I encountered in the driveway was super helpful with parking my car - even offered to move his so I could have his space! Wow! Then I walk inside and a young man behind the counter was dealing with a very difficult customer who obviously had a lot of issues. He was calm and polite with her even though she was loud and verbally combative. After a few minutes he temporarily excused himself from that situation and greeted me at the next counter spot. I was early but they had a truck ready and he said it was no problem to take it then. I was pretty happy about that because I had just driven down from NH to help my daughter move. I was a little nervous about driving a box truck through Boston but he assured me I would be fine (and I was, but I got the extra insurance anyway)! Your employee, Michael Jackson, provided exceptional customer service! After having worked one of the busiest weekends for this location (it was Sunday afternoon when I arrived), he still had a good attitude, kind demeanor, and was very professional. When I returned the truck after 7 PM, I didn't think anyone would be there, but Michael was, and he kindly greeted us while another gentlemen checked the truck in. Talk about good work ethic! Give this kid a bonus or promotion, he raises the bar for customer satisfaction and makes your company better in every way!

Great experience. Very smooth. Minor issue: Got a $25 cleaning charge applied to my bill afterwards out of nowhere (we returned the van clean), disputed it, and it was quickly reversed and cleared up. Helpful staff. Great experience overall. Don’t be afraid to ask questions/confirm details/disputed things that might seem off/be mistakes though.

The website could really be improved for making booking easier. It would be great to search all uhaul locations in the area for a certain kind of truck. I would love to be able to search "Show me all utility vans within 20 miles available between 1pm and 4pm." Instead of having to go location by location to find what I needed.
