Made reservation over the phone. Used credit card to hold reservation. Specifically asked if I could use cash for the deposit and was told "yes". Arrived at location to be informed I could not; could only use cash for moving van deposit. Ended up with a more expensive rental, and one that was not suited for the job. Staff was courteous and apologetic. A better dissemination of information would be helpful. Thank You.

The 15' truck I was given was dirty inside of the cab and in the back, they expect people to put there household goods in the truck. I had to clean it myself. They would charge a customer a cleaning fee for a dirty truck. Maybe a customer should be able to charge them. Only if you could post pitcher's on here. Oh boy!

There was one person on duty. He had been installing a trailer hitch for a customer, who had been waiting more than 2 hours, while also trying to answer phones and wait on customers. I waited at the front desk for 20 minutes before he appeared. He was extremely gracious and professional. I would have quit. When I returned the vehicle 3hours later, the room was filled with angry customers waiting for service. The same solitary worker was patiently trying to deal with everything and everyone. The same guy was still waiting for his trailer hitch. He looked like he wanted to cry. People in there looked desperate. Try having more than one employee. Every customer seen at this site should get a partial refund. And the one employee should get a bonus.

My husband and I called last night, 4/27, to order a van to drive from Fair Haven VT to Albany, NY. It was about 200 miles or so. We told the person that. I got on the phone with the young, (he said he was new) man and told him we had done this a couple of months ago. He quoted us a much higher rate than the rate we had paid before to make the same trip. That's why I got on the phone. I knew the rate was wrong. I pulled up my earlier receipt on my computer (Date of rental was: 9/30/17. Order # 94037. Same trip as today's. Approximately same mileage. That bill was for $126.71. Today's rental order # was 85399657 and we paid $275.32. I knew the code the young man used on Friday to reserve the van was wrong when I saw the extremely high charge! We were supposed to be paying $.29 over 100 miles b/c it was a long trip. I have copies of both bills. I cannot get hold of the local office. I want the rate (.29 over 100 miles) rate that I asked for on 4/27. I had a long conversation with the person who was working. I expect our credit card to be refunded any overage. Very frustrated Uhaul seems unable to get us signed up to a corporate account. We have done business for three weeks. I filled out the initial application process over three weeks ago. If there is no progress with getting this ball moving on U Haul part we may have to part ways very soon.

The manager insisted they did not have a no smoking policy; when we picked up truck it was less than 1/4 tank full and dirty...manager said it goes out the way it comes in.
