If after hours drop off is extra $20 I need to be notified during check out, not like you told me it’s fine to drop off after hours and not mentioning the $20 fees. Also if the gas is just need to be add 1 gallon don’t put in 2 gallons and charge me for 2 gallons, that’s shady business.

Felt like I got totally fleeced.. Additional charges that I never agreed to or made aware of. By the way I never signed the agreement. When I walked in to rent that truck the man behind the desk never looked up to greet me. It was as if I was bothering him by interrupting him while he was playing a game on his cell phone. I have two businesses a block away and I will never do business with UHaul again!!!!! I will go out of my way to tell everyone about my experience. Gregg Smith

I have nothing bad to say about the location, but Uhaul as a whole treated my reservation awfully. I was relocating from Hawaii, had a very full schedule with a lot of items to pick up in California on a timeline before heading to Arizona. The day before my pick up of a 20’ truck and auto transport I had over six calls with various Uhaul representatives, mainly with the regional manager of Los Angeles Kelly, who said I didn’t have a truck available for my 7am Thanksgiving day pickup. Every time a truck was found and “given” to us it was shortly thereafter taken away. Every location “Offered” was over 30 minutes drive, and the final compromise was splitting the reservation and turning my 20’ into a 15’, simultaneously making me leave valued family items which I can never get again and wasting my time driving to two locations. I was promised extra miles for the trouble by Kelly. The truck pickup went fine. The auto transport pickup had no idea I didn’t need a 20’ truck and dates. My dropoff day I received a text saying my truck was due at 7am, even though at every single call and in person meeting I explicitly stated I needed a 5pm dropoff. Overall I absolutely hated this experience and don’t see much reason not to tell every person I know how poorly this company conducts business. There’s is a series of major flaws in your company and if these aren’t fixed you will surely go out of business. I’m an engineer for a trillion dollar global company and know planning, logistics, project management and this was an absolute failure on every aspect of these business ventures. I would like to request contact from a representative regarding my experience. Thank you.

Contacting the location via phone never worked, and the chat function in the app never connected once (at least 5 attempts). Phone calls are routed to a regional/national assistance line, which is okay but you have to wait. Should be easier to contact someone at the location for issues or info.

The staff there are great, across the board. The one issue I have is with U-Haul. U-Haul created an unnecessary hassle for me because on the website it says scanning the DL is optional. No, it isn't. Because I chose to exercise my option NOT to uplaod the DL but to show it at the time of pick up (and I don't have a smartphone) it created a problem. Originally my reservation was at the Allen location, but because they could not scan my DL or take a picture, I had to scarper over to the Raymond center. Fortunately, they knew a workaround and were able to shoot my DL and take a photo of me and I was on my way. If I had not shown up at Allen early, I would likely have been late for my appointment at 1:00, which was the whole reason I was renting the truck. You need to better clarify what you state on the website.

They have also rented too because of my mention it to them where was a good place to rent a moving truck to move out. They too were happy. Uhaul does not need to change a thing. I would recommend this place because it is conveniently located but the staff was unfriendly and unprofessional. We were not explained what was going on, the person checking my reservation didn't communicate what she was doing and acted like we were hiding something. She didn't say she was going to call to confirm my phone number and I picked up my phone, thinking that it was my building or something and then she says "ok that's your phone for sure". I left the check-in counter without being given a key and the staff outside was as surprised as I was at first but then brought the keys, however they were more involved in the conversation between each other rather than my questions. I will not go back to this place again unless I have to.

Shaana at the counter is amazing. She had a mad customer on the phone and I'm sure he was saying some mean things, but she stayed cool and hung up and then Smiled at me and said "How can I help you?" Great customer service.
