If I check in on line and do the pictures and everything why do I have to do it again. They had a bunch of people working there and only one could check out customers? I don't understand the whole phone call to check back up numbers and my number. I rent from uhaul at least once a year. On line is supposed to be a faster check in but it still takes forever to get the trailer and go.

See review for contract # 20320911 for the full story. This location knowingly gave us a damaged truck that was taken out of service the day before we were scheduled to pick up a truck, and they did not properly secure the trailer to it either. It ended up popping off while were loading our car and hit me in the leg. My mother, who was in the car, could have gotten hurt, not to mention our vehicle could have been damaged in the fiasco.

I originally had a pickup location on Holiday Dr. (I have a screen shot of the confirmation). Two days later, I get on the site to add a trailer, and see that it was switched without my consent to a location in Slidell, which is almost an hour away. Come to find out, the first location I selected is out of business, yet was still listed on the Uhaul site. The email I received about the switch came at 4:36 p.m. two days later (I ended up finding it in my junk mail), but the link it had on it to communicate that this did not work for me, didn't work. It went to a 404 error page. Also, I don't understand why, when they realized the error, they did not call or even pick another location in the same town. Why pick a town an hour away? Then, Saturday morning, the day of my move, we discovered the trailer was not attached correctly, because when we were posting the car, it popped off and hit me in the leg. Between that and the fact that my mom was in the car we were loading on, as it turns out, an inappropriately secured trailer, someone could have really gotten hurt. And that wasn't even the only potentially dangerous issue. Sunday we found out that the Uhaul place in New Orleans knowingly gave us a truck that had a damaged tire and rim because that was the only 15 foot truck they had. Even the woman at the Uhaul location in Milton said that we should have been offered a 20 foot truck at the price we were paying for the 15 foot truck. But no, they knowingly gave us a truck that was taken out of service, then never serviced before they gave it to us, and the tire blew out on a trip that was less than 250 miles. I am extremely unhappy with this entire Uhaul experience, particularly the damaged equipment and the fact that I got hit by the improperly secured trailer, and that my mother could have gotten hurt as well, not to mention that our vehicle could have been damaged.

They gave me the truck with less than a quarter of a tank no big deal. So I tried to stop and fill it up and the gas tank was clogged it took 20 mins to put $5 in it not exaggerating. And then they charged me $80 for bringing it back on E even though that's what it came to me on. Terrible service


The price is very expensive..

We were charged $20 for a late fee because we got the trailer returned at 9:00 AM instead of 8:00 AM since we didn't have any paperwork indicating when the trailer needed to be returned. We will never do business with U-Haul again and will surely spread the word about what an awful and greedy company it is.

Hire more men to work in the lot. One man to take trucks in, take trucks out, do propane and attach/detach trailers. He was so overworked! One man for about 10 customers all getting annoyed, not fair to worker.

The process for picking up the truck using the mobile website was slow and painful. The website kept having errors when trying to enter information, and while there was some helpful information in the original email about mobile pickup, it was buried too deep for me to notice at first. It would be much better to encourage customers to fill out relevant information ahead of time.

It took 45 mins to get my trailer even though I pre-checked in and there were only 3 other people in line. The person at the desk said it was because several staff members didn't show up that morning. This put me behind schedule so I missed the closing time by 15 mins for the business I was delivering to and then had to drive an hour away to drop it at another location.

The process to pickup your truck is way too long for no contact pickup (phone app to pick uo) - still had to make contact in the office to sign paperwork to be able to pick up the key to the vehicle. I had to wait 15 minutes in the store to be told I didn't finish the online check out process by examining the vehicle first and then come back and pick up the key. This is definitely a check out process that is cumbersome and I wont use the no contact check out process again.

Try not charging extra kiney for not doing the check in process when none of the staff mentioned said process, the staff member ignored the customer when trying to ask and the signage on the building was poor. The truck was back in time, while a staff member was present, and I would appreciate my $60 back. This location has ripped me off for the last time.
