We reserved a 20' truck online for 9am. I was sent an email by U-Haul stating my reservation was available for pick up at any time so we got there a little early only for the employee to bark at us that I couldn't have made a reservation online because he never received one. I had a confirmation email on my phone so I knew I made one. Well as it turns out the location we rented from didn't open till 9am so that's when he received the order. We were assigned a truck and a code for the key lockbox and the customer behind us was assigned the same truck and given the same lockbox code. Since we already had key in hand and people waiting to help us move we took the truck but that other customer had to wait to get another truck. Not good U-Haul!!
Anthony was knowledgeable on all the aspects of the rental. He gave great customer service
One issue that I had....the trailer for my vehicle was really for a truck. The car sat too low for the car doors to open. Had to crawl through window. The carriage underneath was ripped off.
Had an absolutely awful time trying to get this from the original location in Fontana, California. The staff there were incredibly rude and not helpful. My auto transport was not there and they could not figure out how to help me get a new one. Kept suggesting I go to very far, out of the way places to try and get another one. The girl that was originally helping me just left without telling me if anything was solved. The next guy that helped me kept dismissing me and telling me not to be rude whenever I asked for an update. Horrible experience, I will not be using Uhaul again.

Everyone is very kind and professional. Only thing was we had a word that we can return item by next day morning before 9am but got chaged 2days of service :(
Customer service was the most unprofessional, to say the least. Told me I didnt have reservations for storage unit and that they were completely full. Directed me to another location and provided wrong access code. Had to leave vehicle over night without unloading, come back next day, told me I did have a unit with them after all, and provided me with the access key once after attempting to open unit. It's truly unbelievably sad and disappointing how grown people dont know how to do their job correctly.
The truck could have better bluetooth. We are in 2020 and soon to be 2021....

Allow longer rent times on the trailer instead of trying to get them back as soon as possible let the customer have them for the full 24 hours instead of rushing the customer trying to push for a quick return
Truck alignment is severely off. Truck pulls to right. Driver door doesn't close properly. Handling was horrible with full truck. I've drove uhaul's before and never had so many horrible problems. It was a nightmare and extremely dangerous driving from Las Vegas to Bluffdale.

I reserved a motorcycle trailer a month before and it was confirmed but when I pickup the trailer it was a regular 5x9 with a ramp and really dirty. I had to clean the trailer before using it. They had two motorcycles trailers but said they were reserved. They were in the same spot when I returned the trailer, bad service
I got a call the night before my move letting me know there were no 15 ft trucks reserved and I could drive to Carson City (an hour away) to get a 10 ft. I asked, will this 10ft still be able to haul my car on the trailer reserved, the answer was yes. Since the newest location I was sent to didn't have the trailer, I then had to drive back another hour to get the trailer attached. When I arrived, they said the trailer the online website was okay to haul my car actually wasn't the right one, but he did have the one I needed. However, it would not be able to be hauled with a 10 ft truck. Therefore we had to move all of my stuff now into a 15 ft truck which they told me they didn't have to begin with which is why I drive an hour for a truck that I was already supposed to have reserved. However, he did attach the trailer for me. When I arrived to return my truck, I was told I had to remove the chains, tire straps myself now. I have zero idea how to do this. I was wearing a skirt that everyone in the parking lot could now see up, laying on the ground, after a long day of messing with swapping U-Hauls and driving 10 hours and busted my head under the car trying to remove these things. Overall, I'm beyond angry with U-Haul in general. Then I received a $69 charge for blankets and other equipment which were in the original truck that I never even had when they swapped the trucks. This is unacceptable. U-Haul needs to fix their reservation system, not charge people for equipment they don't have and also allow their associates to operate their own equipment. If they aren't allowing them to disconnect equipment then that is a lack of certification or training on their end. Not all customers are trained or equipped to attach, detach the equipment from the truck. I am not trained, certified to do those things and it's not only a service they should provide to their customers, but due diligence that they're being put on the road safely and equipment being treated properly.
I called at 12:21pm on October 23 and the lady on the phone was rude. Other staff were ok.
Let people know that all 4 tires will be checked, all lights are operational etc.
Covid garbage is over the top. Otherwise ok.
