I have rented from this location many times. This time I reserved a 17ft truck. The lady who helped me with the reservation did not tell me that they do not carry 17ft trucks anymore. The mileage recorded on my contract was one mile more than what was on the truck. The gas was below a quarter tank which was an inconvenience because the first thing I had to do was buy gas to get me to my destination. The new system of inspecting the truck upon pick up and return is very tedious. The store is busy and understaffed! there is always a long wait. I was very disappointed and started to consider alternative companies that rent trucks also

The online process didn't really work, it took much more time than necessary, I ended up going inside and getting help right away. Also, just have the vans full when we get them so we can just fill up before giving it back. Or, for in-town, charge slightly more per mile and don't make people fill up.

Don't like to be forced into buying a lock from them I'm only gonna use it for a short period. I have at least 4 locks with a key of my own. $10 I felt was over priced. Perhaps they should let you rent the lock at $10 and upon moving out give you the $10 deposit back

To whom it may concern: My experience with this location was not a very good experience. For starters I reserved a vehicle online and did the express checkout. When I arrived to look for the vehicle I could not locate it. Also, I went inside and the customer service guy could not locate the vehicle assigned to me. It was taking so long I asked the other customer service guy to assign me a different vehicle. This caused me to be late to where I had to go. Which what is the point in doing things in advance then still having to wait? As well as the second customer service guy had to input my info again even though I did everything prior to coming inside (including taking a pic of my license). Also, one of the customers service guys was not friendly or helpful to the previous customer while I was waiting. Then when I asked for help because I was waiting and he was the only person in there. He was not very friendly and was somewhat rude and smart in nature. I believe the front counter needs more customer service training or etiquette. Also, I was very unpleased that when I returned checking out on my phone as I was told I could do. After parking they told me to move the vehicle under the tent after I parked it in a space and took a pic of where it was parked. Then I took a picture of the receipt on my phone. However, the emailed receipt was more than what was on my phone when I checked out. Someone needs to look into this issue my reference number is 2503766 and contract number is 29736268. Lazy customer service representatives. I can clearly tell that there is a lack of leadership and effective communication at this location. This is the second time I rent from Lanham and both experiences have been poor. Representative tried to charge me more for my rental. When the truck was given to me, the mileage in the car did not match the mileage on the sales contract. (Truck had 33 more miles than reported). The representative tried to make me pay for the discrepancy. This location needs new management and a better trained staff.

Employee who hooked-up the autotransport that rented double chained my truck hitch with 2 chains same side, 1 hole. I couldn't unhook during after hours return; had to rehookup to return later. Upon my return, I ran into the person who/whom had done this explain the situation; he couldn't undo it ,but after a couple of attempts at the clamp nut, it was removed. Employee said his name was/is John Lewis!

This location got an average rating because they consistently do not have an employee at the receiving station (during business hrs.) when the vehicle is returned and you are left waiting for someone to check in the vehicle an extended time. Other than that their services are efficient, friendly and excellent.

Please ensure when renting any of the U-Haul trucks or vans, that they do not have trash in them before renting to the next customer. I rented a cargo van and the previous renter left a coke cola cup in the side panel and I did not realize until I started loading the van. Otherwise, my experience was great and I will use this particular U-Haul center in the future and recommend as well. Thanks.

My only complaint would be that I was not aware of A 24/7 pick up and the process to pick up my vehicle, which was stressful. Also, when returning the vehicle the mobile app did not take me through all of the prompts to properly return the vehicle.
