Owner is on top of everything, however the younger associate who processed our transaction seemed to have no clue what he was doing. It took over 30 minutes to process our rental, when the owner was able to do it in 10 minutes the weekend before. (We rented the exact same thing 2 weekends in a row.)

The manager was not knowledgeable of returns, I rented a trailer and it would not fit my car, had to call for instructions, charged my account three times, did not know how to correct returns when I used to different cards, not very apological, just what ever, did not even offer a 10% discount or nothing, I had to pay interest charges on my credit account, just a bad experience, the store may need additional training especially in customer service.

Location was clean and easy to get in and out, however the truck itself needed service. 2 warning lights were on the entire 12 hour out of state move and it pulled to the right fairly badly. Truck looked beat up and the drive was nerve racking wondering if we would make it. Also, while unloading it the next day we realized that there was evidently a terrible leak from the rain storm the night before. There was water all over several totes and boxes, my king mattress was soaked on one corner, and my book case was completely ruined from water damage. I informed the employee and he just shrugged and basically disregarded the issue. Then he charged me 34 dollars in gas because i brought it back with 1/2 a tank instead of slightly over half a tank. He did ask if I wanted to take it and get gas before bringing it back and I did decline, but by that time, I was done with that truck. This is the 4th time I have used the 26' Uhaul truck and the first time having an issue like this.

Do something with your computer program. It took over 30 minutes and still was not correct I then tried 2 times to call your 800 number and after being on hold for over 30 minutes I hung up.

I had ordered 1 dozen packing blankets and only used 6 of them, the other 6 were still in the plastic bag they came in. I asked if they could deduct the six unused packing blankets from my bill and I was told no. The issue wasn't that I was told no, it was the way it was communicated to me that was not professional.

I needed an appliance dolly so I looked around for a uhaul that had one available. I passed 2 uhaul offices to get to this one because they had the appliance dolly for me to use with my truck rental. When I got there they told me they didn't have one and the computer system was wrong. It cost over $20 extra driving that giant truck (.79 cents a mile plus the horrendous gas mileage it gets) to go to the further away uhaul office that turned out to not have it anyways. If you use this office and need to reserve something have them go look with their own eyes to make sure they actually have it (and that is assuming you can get them on the phone since every time I called them it went to an answering service).

Let me start by saying, the past 4 times, I have made a reservation with U-Haul, 2 of 4 of the reserved pick up locations were changed by U-Haul. This most recent experience though, goes way beyond a change in pick up location and I will no longer choose U-Haul. When the text was received about confirming my pick up on the day before my pick, the location was not as I had requested. When I called to confirm this NEW (not requested) pick up at 1050 N Bay St in Eustis, Florida. I was patronized and laughed at. I was told the truck must stay local even though I had reserved for the truck to be returned in the town where I was moving to. As if this wasn't enough, I was also "funny" that while I had requested a 7:30 am pick up this location would not open until 9 am. After this unprofessional and downright insulting phone call, I attempted to call U-Haul. After 30 minutes of being on hold, my mother graciously agreed to drive to the U-Haul location at 15519 W Hwy 441 in Eustis (where we had originally requested to pick up the truck) and change the reservation. Everything seemed to resolved after WE made accommodations to OUR moving plans to instead take a van and to return it back to Eustis instead of where we were moving to. While we were offered to upgrade to a 15-Foot truck multiple times for our inconvenience, we did not need a larger truck and we would have obviously reserved a 15-foot had we needed something that large. Fast Forward to our pick up of the van the next day when the previous person did not return the van and we were once again without a moving vehicle. I made a reservation for a 10-foot truck on May 22nd and here it is June 16th and after way too much inconvenience already, I don’t have a 10-foot truck or a van. Out of sheer luck, the van was returned within an hour or so of when we arrived to pick up and therefore we could continue with our move. I don’t know what the difference between a reservation and a contract is but if I had ever seen anything about a contact I would have done one, since this clearly takes preference over the reservation customers. Clearly, the gap between one order being returned and another being set for pick up is not big enough. This is whole experience added stress to an already stressful experience. I never write bad reviews but this experience was beyond unprofessional and U-Haul deserves to know.

It was late on the first Saturday of the month and I hadn't scheduled enough time to make our move across town. I stopped in another location and Brent from the SR19/Tavares store schedule a pick-up of a 10 foot truck at the store at the 441/Tavares location. He was very quick and offered the help --very pleasurable interaction. The guys over at the 441 location also were quick in getting me set and out for the move! The truck looked and performed better than expected and this whole experience with U-haul was great. PROPS!
