You can straighten out your business practices. This is the second time this company has been sub-par. There will not be a third. I will actively petition against the use of uhaul and I will actively seek and promote any and all competitors.

Everything about this experience was absolutely horrendous. My contract changed locations and truck sizes 3x from the original contract. I received notification about the first change and spoke with someone in AZ that was able to correct it and then it changed again without notification so I had to drive to another facility to find out the truck size changed again the morning of my rental. After waiting an hour to get the wrong sized truck I was finally able to start my move. The truck itself drove ok but the lower dash engine cover was loose and while driving on the highway the heat from the engine was scorching my legs as it entered the cab of the truck. Because the truck was smaller than what I rented I had to make 2 trips and that added mileage to my day that I was not anticipating. The last facility employee promised a $50 credit but that never materialized on my credit card statement. He kept complaining that it should not be his location to offer the credit but the original location on the contract. That should be internalized and a process for the stores to figure out, not a verbalization or excuse that I want to hear as a customer. I will never use Uhaul again or recommend your service to anyone. As a side note, the previous month I tried to use your trailer hitch service; the parts that were ordered a week in advance for my vehicle were lost in transit, I could not trust them to get the parts before a vacation I had planned so I canceled the order and went to Lampert Hitch in Denver and had a most pleasant experience.

I returned my rental late. I had rented at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday intending to return by 730 on Thursday. Instead I had to return Friday morning. I understand charging for the additional miles and a late fee. However, I was charged more for returning late than if I had correctly estimated my needed time. This is not good customer service to charge more than if I had rented it for the correct amount of time to begin with. I will never rent from you u haul again and will discourage everyone I know from using u haul.

Both employees were outside with a client for at least 30 minutes when I came to pickup my truck, reserved with the app so I could get in and out quickly. The guy was hooking up a trailer, but the woman employee was just chit chatting while a line of customers waited inside not knowing if anybody even worked there. I went outside to see what was up and she didn’t even acknowledge me. Everyone inside was really upset. No regard for customer’s time. No communication. Really a bad experience. I loaded up the truck, found the guy in the console and told the guy I was leaving. He quickly checked me out, but I have no idea how long I would’ve been there if I didn’t do that.

I felt like I was a nuisance. They had better things to do. I dragged myself and my oxygen tank to the counter in the back and the guy tells me to take it around to the back. like I work for him. I never will use them or possibly U Haul.

I made a reservation online for a truck at 8:30 a.m., arrived at 8:30 sharp, waited in line for 45 minutes (just two people ahead of me) and then was told my reservation didn't exist. I was eventually able to re-book, but the whole ordeal wasted almost two hours. Then my card was charged twice for service - the re-booked trip and the original reservation (the one that didn't exist). I'm all up for second chances, but having one person working on college moving weekend did not seem logical.

The lady that helped me rent a truck was friendly, but it seems like she wasn’t very well trained and I spent about 45 minutes waiting to rent a truck.

The location we picked up with came with several issues. I ordered a hitch to be installed two weeks prior to needing it and I get a call the day we are to get it installed stating that they didn’t have a part for it. Called them back to see what’s going on and the guy said they did actually have the part but the girl who normally installs them called out. We were leaving the state two days from that day and we needed the hitch. We were picking up a 4x8 trailer the next day. He said he would install it saying he thinks he can do it. We get there to the uhaul place and he says they don’t have the actual hitch part but we can buy it down the road. Okay fine, he could still install everything else though. We leave the place so he can do the installing and get a call 15 minutes later saying they didn’t have another part and they won’t be able to do it. This is frustrating. He fixes the issue by giving us a huge uhaul and car transporter with enough miles to make it to Alabama. We had no choice but to agree with this. Saying it would be the same price etc etc. except it’s not. It’s 120 more than we would pay for the hitch by itself that we get to keep forever and a uhaul is a gas guzzler. So in the end the cost is a lot more, the uhaul is uncomfortable to drive across country especially with a car transporter on the back and we don’t have a hitch to be able to use for future trips. I don’t understand why they didn’t have all of the parts when we ordered the thing two weeks in advance and why we are finding out any issues on the day of and why we were lied to about it in the first place. The location did not have their stuff together and honestly I don’t think we will ever use uhaul again. This was a terrible experience. The only reason I’m not giving it a worse rating is because there was an effort to fix the situation, but we did not feel satisfied with the fix. We feel we got jipped.
