The sales clerk was put off that I didn't need or want the insurance and got a little attitude about it saying if you drop it off without insurance they are going to charge you for everything. I had talked to my insurance company at length to ensure I was covered even for roadside assistance, maybe I personally keep better than average coverage, but I didn't need U-Haul insurance and didn't appreciate the attitude. So I took a video of the entire truck inside and out before I left the parking lot. When I got home I took pictures of top of truck out of my homes elevated vantage point, which I was unable to see at pickup. This attitude gave me pause in dealing with a company that would possibly try to take advantage of me just because I didn't purchase their insurance. I am going to give the clerk the benefit of the doubt and say she was just trying to look out for me as most people probably don't carry my type of insurance or do due diligence before they rent. That being said in the check out process there was only one spot that said report damage. But there was no damage that I caused, so I said â€œnoâ€. But the clerk said their was a place on the website to upload pictures of damage that was apparent at pickup, I could never find such an option before drop-off. So I would suggest you make that option a little more prominent or visible, if it exists.Lisa M.
