The Truck Gas mileage was very poor , 15' truck gave just around 8 miles/gallon. Had to spend 200$(73 gallons) for travelling just 540 miles. This without using any A/C,Heater not even the audio system.

I order 10 furniture pads and they were not provided in the truck. I tried to "chat" with an agent using the app and it was taking forever for them to get back to me so I had to leave as I had movers at my house. I was unable to get this resolved and was charged $10.

we were advised to return the truck to any U-Haul outlet. our reservation paper only stated "Cincinnati Ohio". after going to several U-Haul dealers, your help desk directed us to the proper return. we had to add extra gas and almost ran over our mileage allotment. very poor!

Susan at Compass Storage made the process straightforward and even went out of her way to help. When I realized I couldn’t make it in time to return the truck, I inquired a anout keeping it another day. She said it was rented already but would see if she could do anything. She apparently made some calls and found another truck for the other person! Problem averted. Awesome service!

When picking up the trailer the person in the office did not walk us out to the trailer, inspect the trailer with us, or make sure we had the proper equipment to haul it, Once we got it to our house we had to spend 20 minutes cleaning it out as there was dirt, leaves and trash in the trailer. Upon returning it, which we did around 1:30 PM on Sunday 19AUG2018 (not at 9:10 on 20Aug2018 that is says on the receipt). The person that checked me in was kind of rude and had me just pull in the trailer, with out inspecting anything other than making sure the lights still worked (and improvement on pick up I guess) and had be park it in the gate and yelled that she would check it in and I was all set. I will never use this location again.

The lady we returned the truck to (Wanda) was very rude to us. She basically accused me of lying about the return time that I had been quoted the day before. She was most unpleasant. She questioned everything and said we were not accurately fueled. We filled up until the gas pump stopped. The fact that she had computer troubles and double checked the mileage and treated us like we were doing something wrong made this place feel like a scam. Not happy. Perhaps the staff need to communicate better with each other so this does not happen. No one deserves such treatment.

Location was not one I requested when I placed my original request, however it was not too far away. Susan was very helpful and friendly!! Would not hesitate to use this location in the future. We ended up with a larger trailer than I requested even after I was told told by phone from uhaul representatives- 2 different ones that if I was able to pick up from different location than originally requested, I would have the size trailer I wanted. In the end, that was not the case. Bigger is not always better, I requested and was told I could have the smaller trailer I wanted and ended up with a bigger one, not so happy about that!!

What I am about to say probably has no bearing on Compass Self-Storage since the On -line rental agreement probably isn’t completed by them. There was an unclear expectation on where the truck would be. I made the original contract to be at the Beechmont Ave. U-Haul store so the location would be open. The day before the pickup I learned it would be at the Compass Self Store. To my surprise, when I arrived at 8:40 am to pick up my truck, the office was not open and I had to do a self check-in using my smart phone. I was eventually able to finish the check-in but the process just took a lot longer than was expected.

We booked through U-Haul and they sent us here. When we arrived, they had no idea that we were coming even though we already reserved the truck. We had to settle for a different size truck than we wanted. I just think you should have better communication with your locations

This comment is not directly related to this specific location. This is a comment directed at Uhaul specifically. I made a reservation on 12/18/17 and my move date was 1/13/18 which I then changed to 1/14/18 around a week in advance due to bad weather. Days before my move I received a call that my truck was not going to be available. Long story short I ended up traveling much further than needed to get a truck and at some point during the phone calls, emails and text messages my reservation got changed from an in town to a one way. I was never aware there was a difference in reservations but now I am aware. Overall my experience was not good and I have complained about this and did receive what I thought was fair compensation. I wanted this documented as I think it was unfair to me when I did my due diligence as a customer and made my reservation weeks in advance and made sure it was most convenient and cost effective to me.

I had two different locations calling me about returning the equipment, one of which did NOT make it clear, or even attempt to, that it was NOT the return location on the contract. When I arrived at the return location to return the truck and equipment to the location that was on the contract, the employee left WITHOUT checking the truck for the return. He told me what the gate code was to get the truck in the lot, and then just LEFT. What is that all about?? I was pretty frustrated with the way the information was handled concerning our return date. I called the 800 number on Sunday January 21st to explain that we had to look for a different place to live and that it would be longer than expected on the truck. The lady that I spoke with, Pam, was awesome and totally understanding of the snafu with the place we thought we would be moving into. She added a day to the rental at no charge and told me it would cost $20 a day per day after the return date, but also gave us a day for free. When I spoke with Lisa at the return location NOT listed on the contract, she had no idea what the additional days would cost and almost sounded as though she would charge us an extra painful fee for the truck being out longer than anticipated. When i received the final receipt on the contract , it listed the trucks additional day cost as $40, TWICE what i was told on the phone. I dont know what the problem is with contracts being updated and everyone being in the loop, but in this age of the internet, intranets, and company communication and filing systems it is really unacceptable. I found all the people that I spoke with at the return locations to be pushy, I found it very rude considering the circumstances.

One issue I have, and can't reach a real person to resolve is, my credit card was charged the estimated amount of $43.61 TWICE! The actual charge after adjustments that should have been charged is $35.13. This needs to be corrected ASAP.
