I reserved a 10" truck weeks in advance. However, I received a van. As a result, I had to make TWO trips to move my belongings (a huge inconvenience). I asked the location to assist with the extra mileage cost and they did. I was still charged slightly more than what was originally quoted with the 10" truck and same same number of miles. Not the best experience.

Charged me for two days instead of one, even though I returned all equipment well ahead of the assigned time. Wrote an email AND called them to have it sorted out and haven't heard back from them for almost a week now. This is extremely poor customer service and I would not recommend going as they will try to nickel and dime you without your knowledge.

Have the van full of gas so you didn’t have to estimate how much to put in. I was charged for two gallons of gas that I didn’t drive out that card said one thing and the gas gauge was lower

The Gilbert Store was great, however, I was highly dissatisfied with the self check-in experience with the app. I had originally signed up to use the app and access a moving truck with self check-in, but I had multiple issues. First, the location of my truck was changed without notifying me. I arrived at the original location of my rental, accessed the app, and discovered the location had changed. Next, the app required me to a take a photo of my license, however, my phone's camera is not good for fine print. I had to give up on self check-in and work with representative in the store. These delays added up, putting me behind schedule and costing me more money because I ended up driving more miles.

The guys that were there when we picked up the trailer were great. It was a bit of a different story when I returned it. There was absolutely nobody inside the store. I think anybody could’ve come in and taken what they wanted. Finally somebody came inside. He waved towards the general area where he wanted me to bring the trailer so I turned my car around and started to back it down into that area. Then he said he wanted me to back it into a very small area between two trucks. Well that was not only down the hill but off to the side. I am not a truck driver so trying to angle that thing into this very small space was very difficult. I tried three times before I got out and told him I couldn’t do it. Some other guy came out and they unhitched it and they ended up putting it in a completely different space that was closer to where they were. So didn’t really seem to matter where it was but yet the initial guy told me they wanted it in between these two trucks. Kind of unreasonable in my opinion.

Had to drive 25 plus miles to drop off the trailer when there is a U-haul within 5 miles of where we moved into. This is the second time I have had to do this. Seems as if U-haul wants its customers to do their shuttling for them at NO CHARGE. I will refuse to make such a long drive on my next return and deliver to the closest one available.

Gary was exceptionally friendly and helpful. I was in and out in a short time. He offered me additional products such as racket straps, and when I declined (I brought my own) he wasn’t pushy. He personally set the trailer on my hitch and wished me well on my way

We returned after hours and had difficulty getting the program to work on our phone to close out our transaction. The 800 number was closed because it was 720 pm. We called the next morning and everything was fixed. It was easy otherwise.

The truck I rented was supposed to include a hand cart but there was none. I called the location to adjust the rental but they never removed the hand cart. I've waited long enough to have this taken care of so I am not expecting U-Haul to correct the billing. I give up.

We drove 360 miles to arrive at the DELLWAY location to find that the trailer lighting did not work. The location assistant was great, no problem with him, however the equipment that was waiting for us did not work which caused significant anxiety on what to do next. He advised that we go to the Gilbert location to which we then found a trailer that worked and we can then be on our way. Gilbert location was great and staff there were great. Just wish equipment at DELLWAY worked.

The cargo van I rented was great! It had a very smooth ride, great side view mirrors, a good back-up camera, and was the perfect size for our application. I reserved the van online so the checkout process was really fast and easy when I got to the store. The guys behind the counter were very helpful and friendly! My only negative comment was that the van smelled like cigarettes, but everything else was so good about the experience, that I rolled with it and was able to ignore the smell pretty quickly. Would definitely rent from them again!

While the equipment appeared well maintained, it did not appear to have been cleaned, just emptied, from prior use. It was my most disappointing experience in nearly 20 years. I was suggested (and accepted) a truck ( via phone reservation) to meet the needs I specified that turned out to be incapable of meeting my needs. My estimated 150 mile usage, ended in over 350 miles. Nearly a week later, I have been charged despite discussions and promises of call backs. I have visited this location for more than a decade, despite living nearly 30 miles away because we were generally treated well. We felt far from that in this experience.
