The truck was clean, but I could not disengage the tow feature, and with 131,000 miles there was a bit of play in the steering, and the engine was quite loud during acceleration.
Everything was perfect! No suggestions for improvement.
U-Haul staff at this location were not wearing masks, reached through the plastic guard to touch the keypad for me, and didn't help me get the trailer attached. Will NEVER return to this location. It get people don't love their jobs â€”Â but seriously, pretty awful experience.

I did the online check in and when I got to the location, getting the trailer was a breeze. The manager helped me with buying a trailer starter ball insert and an electrical adapter that I needed for my factory installed trailer hitch.
The young men that work here are helpful each time we use this location.
The employees are the best. I love this location. Excellent customer service. Thank you so very much.
It sucks that we can no longer speak to the local location directly and don't even get the courtesy of a call back
Two wheel dollie wasn't available
My concern is that I was charged $11.00 for fuel replacement when I returned the truck. I drove a total of 20 miles and put 5 gallons of gas in the truck BEFORE I returned. I was apparently charge for an additional 3 gallons of gas. So I drove 20 miles and used 8 gallons of gas? Not likely.
Customer service was great at this location. Quick, friendly and efficient.

Guys that ran Broadview IL location were excellent. Came outside during pick up/drop off and explained everything. Only issue is when booking reservation, it stated you can do contactless pick up/drop off and this was not available, or poor information provided.
The truck was clean but the driver seat was broken. Was unable to adjust the seat being a short driver. However, the agent took care of everything. The customer service at this facility was outstanding.
Due to COVID-19 the attendant did not have a mask on that made me a little worried.
The process was easy and I appreciate their flexibility.
I had a confirmation for a reservation of a26' truck a week before the move. I did not receive an email of no availability and the truck wasn't available. I had to settle for something smaller and inconvenient
Truck was not cleaned before I got it and manager or salesperson or whoever was rude. I basically got accused of leaving broken up boxes in truck and luckily I took pictures of truck as soon as I got it. Very poor customer service
Van was very clean and drive well!
I was very disappointed that the gentleman who processed my vehicle return wasn't wearing a mask. While we were outside, he did not maintain social distance. He was ready to lean into the driver seat while I still was seated so he could check the mileage. I stopped him so I could first exit the vehicle. He also waved his phone in front of me to confirm my email address - very inconsiderate. Also, the transmission on the vehicle isn't working properly.
When we arrived there was no one in the office to serve us. We waited then called out to let someone know that we were there at the designated time the truck was available. 15 minutes later we discovered that an employee was working in the back room but didn't reply to us. Another employee was cleaning up the truck outside. We had to actually look for him
When I picked up my truck, the rep asked if I would be back by 12:00 and I asked him if he could give me until 1:00pm just to be on the safe side. His response was, I have other reservations (forget about me as a customer). I received the truck, it was not cleaned at all. With everything going on right now with COVID, I at least expected it to be wiped down on the inside but it wasn't. Things happened during my move that pushed me a hour behind. The rep called me around 12 asking where I was. Upon my return, I explained to him that the truck was dirty and that the air didn't work and his response was none of the trucks air works. I asked if I would be compensated for this and he told me no because he didn't charge me another day since I was 1 hour late (which I originally told him 1:00). Overall, the rep was rude and very nasty with me and I won't be returning back to the Broadview location and I will tell others not to use that location. Also, with COVID going on, the rep didn't have on a mask during either transactions with me, not a mask in sight.
First off the GM was very rude to me as soon as I got there. I pre paid for the truck on line and when I walked in and told him I was there to pick up truck he said " You were suppose to be here at 12 noon. You are late." UM first off the truck is paid for so yo know I am coming and 2nd of all I came all the way from Springfield so I was there at 1 pm so no need to give me attitude. Now looks can be deceiving. The truck looked nice outside and inside but as I drove the truck things were fine at first then when I got onto the highway to travel back to Springfield about 45 minutes into the trip every thing just started going wrong. First thing the air vents kept falling out when going over bumps. Second thing the engine kept accelerating on it's own and then would hesitate. I did not think we would make it but my BIGGEST CONCERN IS my Husband was in the passenger seat and his door flew open on it's own 3x's . This is NOT EXCEPTABLE.
