The connection for lights didn't work on the truck - when we connected the car hauler to our own car they worked.
Suggest first 5 miles be included free of mileage charge. Then charge the Exobitant mileage charge over that. There is no way the 19.95 advertised price will be paid. Deception is the bait.

First, this is not in regard to the pickup location. That place was incredible and I really appreciated the staff. This is more of a comment on my experience with uhaul, but I'm not sure where to leave this particular review. The equipment was ok. The driver's side door lock was destroyed, so I had to get into the truck from the passenger side. However, that is not a big deal. The biggest issue stemmed from the fact that I reserved the uhaul a week in advance of my moving date, from a place local to Columbia, SC. I contacted the store the night before my scheduled pickup time, to ensure that the truck was available and the store clerk confirmed that it would be available at my scheduled appointment time. When I arrived to pick up the truck, they informed me that my location for pick up had been changed, because they did not have the equipment. no one informed me of the change prior to my arrival. Then, I drove twenty minutes out of my way to reach the replacement destination, only to find out that they also did not have a truck available. So, after calling customer service 5 or 6 times, and waiting for 30 minutes on hold, I finally got through with someone, only to have the call â€œdisconnectâ€ when she transferred me to scheduling. I was finally able to contact someone who had an available truck and had to drive an hour out of town to pick it up. The whole ordeal resulted in me being unable to move out by my end of lease date, and caused a lot of problems for myself and my lessor. When I attempted to return the truck, the return destination was closed-well before their posted closing time. When trying to drop the truck off, the app crashed several times. Lastly, I was charged an additional $5 for gas not being at the appropriate mark. I literally stopped at gas station and put gas into the vehicle on the way to drop it off. It's only $5, but still. Just points to the fact that uhaul personnel are trying to take everything they can, although they offered zero help throughout this entire move. Overall, terrible experience. I move a lot. I have moved several times in the last 5 years, and I'll be moving again next year. I have spent thousands of dollars with uhaul. I wont be using your services again. I would rather pay more money elsewhere and have the comfort of knowing that I won't be fucked over.

Make sure the customer information is correct, make sure that a 24 he rental is just that. I made my reservation for 3:30 but picked up the van at 1:49 on Friday. 24 hours would mean I had from the time I picked it up til 1:49 Saturday. But instead I got 20 hours which meant the van was scheduled to be returned by 10:00 today so I got charged for two days which was unfair to me! So when a customer makes a reservation their time should not start until they are in possession of the vehicle, not when they make the phone call. So 1-10 for the experience I would give y'all a score of 4.5.
