RICHARD T. | First ImpressionsThere is no lighting or electrical outlet in my unit and it's extremely difficult to organize my stuff in the dark.Really a hassle and pretty disappointing since I need the extra space to get organize. It also appears that there was water damage in the unit at some point. I hope that this isn't an ongoing problem. The employee who I dealt with just prior to renting the unit (when I needed a truck) was helpful. However, the key I received with the contract didn't work in the truck. The ID number on the contract matched the truck as did the license plate, but the key went to a different truck which is the one I ultimately used. To be clear, the contract didn't match the truck I drove, which seems like a liability for all parties. Also, I realized a couple of days later that I left a bag of painting supplies in the truck. When I called and explained that I was looking for my belongings, the person on the phone didn't miss a beat when he said that no one had turned it in. I had barely gotten the words out when he gave his absolute answer of "no." He didn't say that he would look or anything helpful: he just kept repeating that the bag wasn't there. I didn't find him credible, and his lack of concern for my inquiry was a great example of poor customer service. I have always worked in fields that required interacting with customers and I was really disappointed with the way he handled the situation. I went in to speak with someone about my missing bag, and spoke with another employee, JT, who was quite helpful. He said he had indeed found my bag and he proceeded to pull it out from under the workstation. I told him who I spoke to and he told me that it was the manager. Unbelievable. I'm grateful to JT for his honesty and attentiveness. He had even attempted calling customers who had previously rented the truck until he got too busy and was unable to call more customers. Maybe some remedial customer service training is in order for the manager in question.
