Great as ever
STEPHEN WCustomer service was ok, he was pleasant. Truck was rough. 1/4 tank in it. Engine light on. Ran old. Put gas in it, over 1/4 and no credit or anything. Overall a 3 star. Average I guess

JOHN B | Overall ExperienceFirstly, when I rented the truck the representative did not extend my rental one day like I asked. I got called by Uhaul corporate asking where the truck was. The truck had big empty used water bottles in the cab. It was filthy. So was the back of the truck and it did not have a quarter tank of gas like the rental agreement said. Yes I know trucks from Uhaul are usually trashed but this was ridiculous. Isn't the previous driver supposed to clean the truck? Don't you charge $4.50 per gallon? Do I get that money back?? Awful location and I would never rent there again. Truck was mechanically unsafe for the road also.

PAUL DOnly concern was my paperwork stated a full tank and that's what was verbally told to me. I got in the van and it had 3/4 of a tank. Had I not looked I'd of been SOL. I'm not sure if that was just a mistake or a tactic to get more gas out of me, but it wasn't a good feeling to start off.
ERIC NBryan who handled the rental when I picked it up was quick, diligent and professional. I was very happy with his help, everything was easy and smooth.
MARK SThe gentleman who worked there was friendly and hooked up the equipment. However, Equipment was rented out damaged. This was realized after packing it up that the trailer could not be locked. We had to secure the doors with ratchet straps and zip ties in order to keep them closed for our 900 mile trip.
HOWARD DI used the automated system to check out my van and return it. It was a little time consuming but worth it for not having to stand in line. The only request I have is to give some indication about where/how to return the key. I returned it inside as the facility was still open, and the woman there was very nice, but if she hadn't been there I wouldn't have known what to do with the key.
Joy OGot trailers switched out and hooked up for me right away. All personnel were friendly and helpful. Highly Recommend this location.
William HOn 10/27/2024 I made an online reservation. On 11/30/2024 I checked the status of my reservation on line to confirm the details. Shortly after I received a phone call from Uhaul stating that they did not have the truck I had requested but offered me a larger truck for the same cost. I reluctantly agreed since this was a short local move. The individual who opened the shop was alone on a very busy day. He was accompanied by his dog that bit two customers in the leg while I was in line. Fortunately the bite did not break the skin of either customer and they were both more concerned with getting their task accomplished. The employee barely acknowledged either incident. His only response was, " I forgot to mention he (the dog) isn't very friendly". He had his breakfast on the counter blocking any space for the customer to put down their things. The printer was not working so he was not able to print the contract. He emailed the contract so I had to sign and agree to a contract that I was not able to read first. This large truck was challenging to navigate in the parking lot of our location but we made it work. We also had difficulty maneuvering this large truck at the gas station so we choose to not put gas in it. We had only driven 19 miles which should be equivalent to less than 2 gallons of gas. Instead I received a charge of over $30.00. We took photos of the mileage and the gas both before we left the parking lot at pick up since we had not been able to review the contract and again in the parking lot when we dropped it off. I expected a charge for 2 gallons of fuel but I was charged for 6 gallons. The truck was clean and operational but the customer service was poor.

MICHAEL NThis vehicle had damage to the rear window and due to a flawed design shattered while driving. I was charged heavily at drop off. Was told even with the insurance, this would still have been a charge. That is very unfortunate because I could have been hurt and to be charged this amount, was very upsetting. Please look at these windows and the design - it is not the customer's fault.

I found out when I tried to get into my unit… and you can imagine my reaction. I asked for an answer why my lock was cut off and replaced without my knowledge or consent. The answer provided included something to do with the cleaning crew. Right. I asked to see where in my lease there is a mandate for having a U-Haul lock. Nothing. I paid $260 per month for the folks at U-Haul to have access to my personal items… while I didn't. I will never use U-Haul again, for anything and relay this story to anyone asks for moving or storage advice.

Then they put me down for 4 even though I needed two. They then booked me to pick it up but didn't have it till about 3 hours later and they couldn't seem to tell me if they had storage units open so I had to book it online.

RICHARD T | First ImpressionsThere is no lighting or electrical outlet in my unit and it's extremely difficult to organize my stuff in the dark.Really a hassle and pretty disappointing since I need the extra space to get organize. It also appears that there was water damage in the unit at some point. I hope that this isn't an ongoing problem. The employee who I dealt with just prior to renting the unit (when I needed a truck) was helpful. However, the key I received with the contract didn't work in the truck. The ID number on the contract matched the truck as did the license plate, but the key went to a different truck which is the one I ultimately used. To be clear, the contract didn't match the truck I drove, which seems like a liability for all parties. Also, I realized a couple of days later that I left a bag of painting supplies in the truck. When I called and explained that I was looking for my belongings, the person on the phone didn't miss a beat when he said that no one had turned it in. I had barely gotten the words out when he gave his absolute answer of "no." He didn't say that he would look or anything helpful: he just kept repeating that the bag wasn't there. I didn't find him credible, and his lack of concern for my inquiry was a great example of poor customer service. I have always worked in fields that required interacting with customers and I was really disappointed with the way he handled the situation. I went in to speak with someone about my missing bag, and spoke with another employee, JT, who was quite helpful. He said he had indeed found my bag and he proceeded to pull it out from under the workstation. I told him who I spoke to and he told me that it was the manager. Unbelievable. I'm grateful to JT for his honesty and attentiveness. He had even attempted calling customers who had previously rented the truck until he got too busy and was unable to call more customers. Maybe some remedial customer service training is in order for the manager in question.

I have been spending thousands of dollars annually at the 111 JT Connell HWY location for 2 decades. Some of the staff are degenerates, underpaid, unmotivated, unpleasant and unprofessional. And a couple others have to work twice as hard to make up for the slackers and only paid peanuts. Hire better staff and THAT facility will do MUCH better, trust me! I also HATE things: the excessive, documents, emails, calls and texts for a simple storage bill, WAY TOO MUCH notification. U-Haul is NOT my life's priority!

The place is always dirty, they restricted my access and never told me why and a piece of my furniture was stolen. Never using this place and I'll be sure to tell everyone what a jerk Alex is, he should be fired. What a clown.

Her move in date was set by her school (September 5th). When we moved out of the Uhaul facility, (we also rented a van from Uhaul on 9/5 to move her belongings) I inquired about receiving a pro-rated bill as we left 5 days into the billing cycle. I was informed that Uhaul doesn't pro-rate. I find this very disappointing and it will be a consideration the next time I'm looking for a facility to rent storage space or van/truck.

It was very clean...the entire facility was impeccably clean.. But, the restroom - the smell of sewage was so strong, so wretched, I nearly vomited. When I reserved I was told I had a ground floor unit. when I got to the place on move in day I was told no ground floor units available of the size I wanted, that's not cool. When I asked about a bigger unit ground floor I was told there were none. I moved into a second floor unit, no elevator, I wasn't told there was no elevator when they told me I couldn't be on the ground floor. After loading in I decided to look around I found a unit on the first floor vacant. I went and inquired at the desk and lo and behold I got it for about 10 bucks a month more than I was already paying. The whole bait and switch scam stinks. The system for getting into the lockers is antiquated and wasn't well explained. They shouldd have a picture of the entrance way and expain to you with visuals how you get in; because the desk guy was totally unclear. You have to pay extra for 24hour access, which again is just another bogus upsell. I only need the space short term and the storage location is near me or I'd have gone else where. However, yes the staff guy who checked me was friendly which is the only reason I didn''t grade this place beyond poor. Oh, and one last thing, they have sent me four emails and two texts bugging me to review them. I wanted to just let it go but they wouldn't let me. so sorry folks here's your review, your place is not good.

Being that the entire place was a crowded, wet, truck laden area, with people running around, we had to dump many items because you wanted all units emptied, I had no place to store items, and felt rushed to empty and get out of there.
