I was charged for fuel when I wasn't supposed to be. The fuel level according to the representative at the Madison Heights location only needed to be at 3/4 full. But I was charged for fuel. All in all a pretty poor experience.

They somehow lost my first reservation. So I made a new one and picked up the rental at 9. Then I received a call two hours later asking when I was coming to get the rental. So unorganized.

I had the same agent earlier in the week when I picked up my supplies and he was very helpful. The agent was polite and stayed professional while sensing my frustration during pickup. Kudos to him. My biggest suggestion would be to have the trucks prepped and ready to go including snow removal, gas, and cleaned before pickup. The truck was not prepped and ready for use. Which didn't save us any time pre-checking in. The truck was snowed in and also behind another truck that was snowed it so both had to be cleaned off before we could even check out the truck. I thought this was strange since we had designated a pick up time. The truck has only 1/4 tank of gas. I guess I just thought I would start out with a full tank like the car rental companies do. As far as cleanliness, the truck was not clean. There was garbage left from the previous renters. I expected to start out with a clean vehicle. We were not given a demonstration on our to pull out the ramp. So when we began to load we were having difficulty getting it out so I had to watch online videos. After making sure the door was all the way up and unlatching the ramp it would only come out a few feet. By some stroke of luck and a lot of tugging we were able to get it out. But our luck was random. Perhaps it's defective and should be checked out. I thought I have pre-checked in online but I guess you can only pre-check in on a mobile device. This was confusing to me but now I understand. It would be helpful to pre-check either on a computer or a mobile device. Not sure why there's a difference. I would definitely use this location again but I would discuss my expectations prior to pick up. The truck drove wonderful and even third seat was great to have.

Nearly perfect rental experience. My car carrier could have used a wash down, but it's winter, vehicles get dirty fast, and this did not affect the utility of the trailer for my purposes. Quite happy overall.

There was a hole in the roof of the truck and the water from the ice on the top of the roof leaked all over my son's mattress. His entire mattress was so soaked that he had to sleep on the floor.

Stop nickle-and-dime-ing... Just include a 4 to 8 pin adapter or "rent" it for a few dollars. Charging $15 for one is insane for a 1 time use and really makes me not want to use uhaul again

I don't think you really need to improve at all. We had a problem returning our truck on time (several days late actually). But they worked with us and, at least on our end, things went smoothly. I am greatful for their courtesy and helpfulness!
