Cabs need to be disinfected before rentals, I felt like I needed to shower in sanitizer after climbing in, steering wheel, door handle, interior door pull were all sticky. There was no trash or anything in the cab, but nothing had been CLEANED in quite a while, not acceptable during a pandemic. Also, the furniture blankets that I reserved were no available to me as the dealer had zero on hand.
I have a conflict with what was charged on my bill and sent an email in and yet to see any response. I was not given a bill when I returned the U-Haul. I received a bill by email only and there's a conflict

The counter employess did not wear MASKS!!!- which I have reported to the police and upon my return of the vehicle a female- employee - who told me to "GO PARK THE TRUCK ( no please , no could your very demanding" in another space AND " Was SITTING on the check in counter!! and had 2 female friends - UNMASKED- socializing in very close proximity to each other on chairs behind the counter - a male counter person- intervened finally( he had checked me in upon pickup of the vehicle)_ I have overfilled the truck with gas asked for a credit - they told me " Not our problem- Contact UHaul!! I have contacted the local authorities- I have rented from your firm many times- but never AGAIN! - The POLICE department will be visiting the site and the Local Government Health Department- to invoke the "COVID-19" Fining and CLOSURE of their firm. I would like a telephone call to my cell- The retailer is TJ Variety- 232 Norwich Ave. Woodstock ON Canada- I require a call- you should have all information and how I get the credit owed to me. We ordered blankets and a dolly they didn't have any. On the haul site it said pick up at 8 but store didn't open until 9.
The rental was over priced especially when I was charged for extra kilometres... 19.99$ is bullshit...
I am absolutely disappointed in my experience with Uhaul. This experience with your company took an already difficult situation and made it worse. The incompetence and poor customer service relations at both the Stratford and Woodstock locations were unacceptable, and the scheduling of a vehicle was outrageous. I am not being compensated enough for my unsatisfaction with this whole experience. It disgusts me, and I would not recommend using Uhaul at all.
I must say, the communication for confirmation exceeded my expectations. The information was related very quickly, and everything g ran very smoothly! Thank you!
My problem isn't so much this specific location it's the fact I had rented a truck for yesterday (Saturday) and even called and confirmed it Thursday and everything was all set. Then Friday afternoon I get a phone call stating there is no truck available for me and if I can travel to Ingersoll to pick up a truck Saturday morning. I said yes that is fine it was all confirmed AGAIN then in the next half hour I get another call from Ingersoll saying that they don't have a truck available for Saturday. So I call U-Haul again and ask if there is anything available, there was one we could use that day (Friday) from 630-1030 (it was already after 5 at this point) needless to say it was a horrible experience and I know my family and friends wouldn't recommend at all either.
with covid-19 I think the inside of the vehicles should be cleaned thoroughly. It was dusty and dirty inside which told me it was not cleaned before we took it out. It made me nervous thinking that the person before us could have left virus behind. Other then that, service was impeccable.
I booked the uhual for a 24 hour period. When i arrived to pick up rental, i was told i could only have it for 8 hours. The agent almost didnt want to give me the rental. Why would i get booked for 8 hours when i booked it for 24 hours??? Extremely frustrating. Andrew Brzezicki 519-212-4383
pick up time should be adjustable at the location not with Uhual representative as this it's a very time consuming waiting on the phone to talk to representative .over all its a very good experience . estimated cost and actual cost should be done at location as this cause customer to be wondering how much their bill will be .
The Woodstock outlet was fine and not at fault. The U-Haul web site however is extremely misleading. We booked a van for pick up and drop off from the Ingersoll location. Everything on the web site indicated that van was available for the date and at a time we could make work from the Ingersoll depot. However, the booking site did not warn or indicate that a van would never be available to rent from Ingersoll ever. We learned that they do not have a van 24 hrs + after we'd booked and arrangements were made with the seniors residence and others to facilitate moving furniture into a seniors residence. During COVID-19 you must be aware how difficult that is to organize for the restrictions seniors homes need to take. The result is we had to pay additional mileage 30 km to and from Woodstock for a move that was totally within Ingersoll move but did not need the large 20 or 22 foot truck available in Ingersoll. They didn't even have a pick up truck which would have also been sufficient. The total mileage would have at best amounted to 7 km total from Ingersoll depot, doing the move and return and not 37 km which we were billed for. I will be much more cautious and not overly keen to use or recommend U-Haul in future. Again none of this was the fault of the Woodstock outlet who were courteous and as helpful as they could be. The van was in good condition and the move was completed. One other item. The rental equipment should have full gas tanks. Having to guess and top up the tank to what it was at the start of the rental after our brief drive is crazy. Topping up to full is much easier to do.
Loved it just wish you got more distance for your money.

The A/C in truck did not work and the gas gauge on the truck was less than on the paperwork and I was charged for returning the truck with actually more gas in the truck than what it had when I used it. If this is how Uhaul is going to treat a customer who has been using this service for our moves, THIS MOVE WITH UHAUL WAS MY LAST.....WILL NEVER USE IHAUL AGAIN SND WILL MOT RECOMMEND TO OTHERS.
They were not really ready for the rental. The pick up truck which I rented to tow a trailer didn't have the lock pin for the hitch receiver to stay on. As a professional truck driver , I circle check everything I drive. For a vechicle with only 10,000 kms on it, it had almost no windshield washer fluid In the tank and more surprisingly was the fact that the oil level in the engine was way below the marks on the dipstick. It barely registered on the dipstick. There was dirt on the floor that was there from previous rentals on both sides. In an era of Covid 19, that is somewhat concerning. The truck did do what I needed it to do, after securing all the necessary parts. The rental place was ok, but wouldn't rate them as good. Still wondering about the blankets left in the back of an open box. Must be a really safe location not to have had those stolen before I got there. And no I didn't need or use them. The truck itself was good on fuel, only $11 for almost 50 km. of towing. That actually was a pleasant surprise.
Terrible service kept leaving to serve other customers and said U Haul was last priority in the store. It took 15 minutes to pick up a vehicle which should have taken a few minutes
The dealer for uhaul- JP Variety we're very unreasonable to deal with. I parked beside another uhaul truck and was advised I should move it to another spot after unhooking. The spot that he pointed to was not safe or reasonable to park based on the positioning of cars and the lot size. I parked it beside another uhaul vehicle... so I wasn't sure what the problem was dismissed by saying they would not accept it. And that it wasn't his problem I didn't return the trailer. I had to call uhaul myself to close the deal and send pics of the trailer as it sat in the parking lot. Horrible experience-not by uhaul but by the people who run JP Variety , Woodstock on
very good service and truck was execellent
The website was down and I waited an hour to get the keys and truck. The truck had the previous users garbage and the truck was dirty and smelt like cigarettes.
