they were Asleep when we arrived at noon, took over half an hour to get everything set up because they were unorganized. Didn't have the dollys we ordered, and the truck had no gas. Not half a tank, I mean none, we had to fill up first thing.... They didn't really care about the customer satisfaction. They never called to confirm the day before, and they were not great to work with. Standing in the side of the store that is surrounded by bongs and pipes may be uncomfortable for some also. Very un professional, not a great store, wouldn't use them again.

The roll up door on the unit could only be raised to about 2/3 of the total height. We were unable to move several items because of this. The left side lights on the trailer did not function. I checked the wiring on my vehicle with a meter and they function fine. When I returned the trailer and reported the problems, he just shrugged and said I would be getting my receipt by email. I am very disappointed with my experience.

The truck was filthy. The only time I could reserve a 10ft truck was 1:45pm on a sunday. I called to see if it was ready to pickup, but I was told it wasn't going to be back until much later that evening. I had people arranged to help me for my reserved time, not at 7pm on a Sunday night. Then I was told there was a 15ft truck I could use but had to pay the extra money. I feel I should've been given it to me for the price of the truck I had reserved. Also I was given an estimate of $53 for traveling 30 kms. I drove 36 kms and the total ended up being $73.... My total for a 10ft truck at 36 kms should've been $45. The man at J&P variety was rude and said he couldn't do anything for me because he doesn't make any money for renting Uhaul's. I said that he wouldn't be doing it if he wasn't making any money. He then informed me that he does it so that people will come in the store and buy his merchandise. I will never be back to that location.

When I booked this rental truck I also rented 2 platform dolly through the same booking on your website. When my husband arrived to pick up the truck he was told they don’t have any. They never have. We rented this truck just to move a piano 2 Km. My husband called multiple equipment rental places to find somewhere that had a dolly we could use. He then drove there to get this. The extra dolly rental and kms added more than $60 to the cost than what we booked to pay through Uhaul.

Was extremely rude, informed us that they would not be accepting the truck today. Finally after 40 minutes of talking it out he agreed to let us leave the truck then made me move it from where I parked it, then stated he didn’t want it there and made me drive it over across the parking lot and park it again or he wouldn’t be accepting it. We did a walk through and I stated that I had used a quarter tank and he agreed then based off the paperwork I would be charged $30 for gas. Upon receiving my bill he doubled that amount. Uhaul always rips you off, their employees are scum. Worst service I’ve ever experienced, this is a prime example of why there are horror stories exchanged regarding this location. Pathetic

We were to pick truck up at 8 and no one was at the store the store was not open the person did not arrive until 8:15 and said should be ready by 8:30 we asked in Brantford when we reserved the truck that we needed a fridge cart. When we got to the house to start loading there was no fridge cart had to go and get one and are now being charged $5.42 for the use of the cart. Apparently there was no mention of a fridge cart on the order.

not being able to reserve a truck in person at the store is not acceptable. We went the day before to reserve a truck and were just told that "there would be a truck available no problem". Not good enough. truck should be able to be reserved with a deposit so it is there FOR SURE at pick up time. Very unreliable to not be able to reserve. This needs to change. People have deadlines to move out of places etc. and need to be assured a vehicle. Who is responsible if there are no trucks avail when people need them. I called, went in to store in person and both times nothing was written down saying that they needed to save a truck for me. Not good business practice. Uhaul needs to get into 2019 and make that a priority for people who want to depend on their service. Thank you.

No staff, 1 person running Convience store and U-Haul counter, person left me 4 times while I was trying to rent a van due to convience store customers coming in. Also he was checking his text messages while trying to fill out my rental agreement. When I brought it back, he asked me to go take a picture of the odometer and gas gauge because he couldn’t leave the store to check it himself. I understand it’s a small location and they can’t put a person on the uhaul counter solely but once I started the rental agreement I would expect to finish it before going and looking after other customers.

Took too long to get the email with the final total after we brought it back. I am aware that he had another customer at the time of return but still took @ 2 hours to get the email. We had to wait to charge our customer the amount and incurred employee wait time cost because of this.
