The contract indicated "Woodland Home Center, which turned out to be a True Value Hardware Store. Address wasn't visible anywhere and there wasn't a visible U-Haul logo that I could see. Staff was very friendly and qualified, but the location made the return of the vehicle somewhat difficult.

Your phone customer service was horrible. She told me I had an absolute reservation for a certain time and location and it was absolutely not true !! I had to drive 20 miles to get a uhaul.l?! Total bullshit!!! And the audacity to charge me for all that mileage when I should have only drive 1 mile for the truck is absolutely ridiculous. Your agent lies. Blatantly lied. We had people lined up. I’m so sickened by this company. We will never use it again.

Was told the day before rental that there was no 26ft truck available near me. Had to drive 2 hours away to go pick up a truck. Waited another half hour to get the truck at location. Then drive 2 hours back to start my day using the truck. Was not happy with this service.

I am very thankful and happy with the service in general! The reservation process very official and professional with confirmation e-mail, really gave me a sense of peace that I had this uhaul for sure. I really appreciated this part. I was a little disappointed because the truck was dirty, dusty and muddy inside the cabin. The windshield was also very dirty and the gas tank was little less that 3 quarters; I was not expecting to spend little longer to get gas, I just wanted to load and go, but giving that the customer service was GREAT, going to get gas was ok. Thank you U-Haul at True Value Hardware Store and Staff.

I originally called in on your 800 number and made a reservation. Unfortunately, I was not advised that the reservation was made for a U-haul site out of town, about 15 miles away; there are two U-haul centers here in Woodland. After working through that disconnect all went well as it has on all of my recent rentals. Your rates are good, equipment is always functional and personnel have been pleasant and professional, especially up in Magalia, CA where Bob runs your office.

I was very displeased with the whole U Haul process from the being. When I made my reservation on the U Haul website, I wanted a 17ft truck and it said one was available in Woodland, but when my confirmation e-mail came it was changed to West Sacramento, I had to call to get it change and was told they only had a 15ft truck. Which I took, when I went to pick up the truck they said the 15ft trucks had been over booked and I had to take a 10ft truck. I also asked if there was a grace period if I couldn't the truck back by 10am the gentleman told me he wouldn't charge me if I had it back by 11am. I got it back at 10:40am, a different gentleman checked the truck back in, I did tell him what the other gentleman had told me as he was check me in. He said the total was $210, I said why so high he said you had it two days, I said no and reminded him what the other gentleman had said, he did change that. Now the total was $174, I again asked why so high he said the mileage, I said it was only 78 miles which was less then what I had estimated. It turned out he had wrote the mileage as 160144, instead of 160114. Now the total was $154, I said why is it higher then the estimate of $116 that I got at the time I picked up the truck, he said it was because I didn't put enough gas in the truck. I said I but it to 5/8 like what was highlighted on the paper work. He said it was a mark a little above the 5/8 mark on the Gage. By this point I am getting emotional I had a very tight budget for this move and had already had some experience come up. He did offer to let me go put more gas in the truck, but I had hurt my back and it took me two trys to get in it when I was at the gas station. So he said give me $10 and I will run and but gas in it, I said ok, by this time I was in tears. He was only gone about 5 minutes. When he came back he said something was up with the gas gage when he had started the truck it said there was more gas in it then when he had first checked it. I did still end up paying $7 extra dollars for fuel. The reason I was late is there was flag men stopping traffic that was not there the day before. I would recommend True Value but not U haul. I feel this was a U haul issue and not the store.

I called to verify I could drop off truck and trailer. They were open until 7pm and it was after hours. I followed the directions and left the locked truck and trailer, which were swept and wiped down near the gate as instructed. The key box was where I was told and easy to find. I left the key and contract in box and that was it. Very easy. I asked if I got there before they closed could I finalize the bill at this location. I was told no I could not. They explained this was a franchise independently owned and they could not "pull up contracts of other locations." If true,l that doesn't make good sense. Anyway, I had to call u-haul and settle the final bill the next day. After they had already charged my credit card that I requested not be charged. I wanted to use another form payment. This was upsetting since I had called the main u haul phone number the night before to make my request documented.

The uhaul had glass in it which led to it ripping my leather couch. I didn’t see it at first but I’m pretty upset about it thinking I should have thoroughly checked it before sliding things in upon renting. I feel like I should be reimbursed somehow!!!! I would like for the Manager to call me 530.761.1838
