My experience was great and everything went smoothly with the exception that I never received my contract until after I returned my vehicle. I was confused when instruction kept telling me to refer to the contract because I never saw it. The gas tank was full when I got the vehicle so I did not effect me for knowing how much gas to return the vehicle with.

The problem came on the backend. I did the mobile pickup and dropped off the key during my time allotted and was charged for 2 days. Also, was charged for the safemove insurance. People at this place are awesome but went mobile for sheer convenience.
Some way to do a faster pickup
Charge a flat daily rate without additional mileage cost. Adding miles at a significant premium per mile is not good business practice. The mileage rate you are charging is 50% above the standard federal mileage rate. Sounds like bookie rates. Thanks.
Did not have the pads that I had reserved 3+ weeks before!!! The agent's comment on that was, â€œWell, pads & carts come and go.â€ I was able to go to another U-Haul location (less than 3 miles away) and get the pads.
They charged me 20 miles over what I used. I was not instructed to look at the mileage and inform them before pulling off, however I did take a picture to remember where I started off. When I got the bill and called to inform them of the mileage over charge they said that there was nothing that they could do.

We didn't need the truck for more than a few hours, but were charged for a minimum 2 days. It would be nice if you pay for what you need and if someone's goes over that, then charge them the extra day.
People were untrained and equipment and equipment for checking in was defective. They said it had been broken for a while. They kept bad mouthing Uhaul though the first people to help me kept messing up. It took 90 minutes to get a trailer. They even asked at one point for me to got find a ATM and get cash. Uhaul should be investigating and give me some money back since Uhaul changed my original pickup location to this place the day before. I had people waiting for an hour to help me load.
Clean and sanitize cab and handles of truck following every use - cab floor was coated in dried dirt, seat had crumbs and loose dirt, dash was covered in dust, and had to clean windshield interior of â€˜film' creating glare and decreased visibility. Exterior and truck bed were clean.
as i turned the truck back in, i accidently locked the keys in it. When i went in to tell the associate about it, i was told the store doesn't have second keys for its vehicles (how stupid is that?) and i would have to call a locksmith. Needless to say, this didn't end my experience very well.
This was my BEST moving truck rental experience!! The 800 call person was super informative, the truck was ready, and the counter service, (Mr. Anderson, Ace Hardware), was prompt and helpful. I had always used Penske due to a bad U Haul experience in college. Today has changed my mind! AWESOME.
The system was down. What should have been a simple pick turned into an hour's wait with other customers. The employees were good but the system made us lose precious time on a already stressful day
Friendly and helpful
I spent an hour cleaning truck before we felt comfortable using it. The cab was filthy. The back had not been swept out - loose mulch all over.
I wish to remark on how extraordinarily patient, courteous, and helpful Debbie at Ace Hardware was to me. She was diligently professional and a welcome relief after a trying experience. I had an extremely challenging day unloading my goods for the antique mall, securing a good storage unit for unexpected overflow, and dealing with two rather young assistants. It was also the first hot day (in the mid to high 80's) which did not help matters. I will always use that location in the future when / if I need a rental vehicle and am in the area which may be somewhat frequently when time to remove various pieces of my storage unit items to the mall.
When I reserved the truck the website said .59 cents a mile. I was charged .69 cents a mile when I dropped it off. You website still shows an 8 foot pickup truck at .59 cents a mile. Don't understand why I was charged more?????
Exactly what I expected.
I wish you the process were faster. It seems like the person renting out the machine was just starting at the screen for 15 minutes. Also, took several minutes to find my reservationâ€”initially telling me they didn't have a truck for me at all. It seems like the computer system is a disaster
