The location did all they could to help.however Uhaul failed them and myself horribly. I used the wrong credit card, called the same day and was told to return to the location where they would cancel the original transaction and take the new payment. 75 minutes later no success. Returned to the location and 90 minutes with the uhaul manager in store trying to resolve issue, no success. The customer facing reps need better support when dealing with challenging issues. Your systems and support failed the frontline and the customer. Over two and a half hours and no resolution. Not a acceptable

The truck I rented was a low mileage unit that was in Great condition. One fly in the ointment was a low pressure tire warning light that took much too long to correct. Diane did an outstanding job of getting the Ace Hardware team moving to fill the rear tire to 80 psi as noted on the vehicles door jamb but they were clearly not set up for such a simple task! Fortunately, once it was inflated to the proper pressure the warning light went off and all went well. It appears that the tire was improperly plugged prior to my rental and had a small leak that allowed the tire to lose air pressure! I reported it to Kimberly when I returned the van.

they did not make note of the miles from the previous customer and so we were charged it and been disputing it after n wxhausting trip home. Because there is no way we could have travelled 2200 miles from Virginia to Oklahoma. it was under 1300 miles but we are being charged for it because someone didn't do their job!!!!!!!! never will use u-haul again because of this!

The lady who helped me had no idea what she was doing - she kept having to ask questions and never looked at truck - the truck was not full when I got it and I took pictures to prove it - I left the truck with more gas then when I started and I got charged extra

Return of vehicle was not timely in that I was leaving Rochester and had not yet received invoice showing $0.00. Phone call to 800# seems to have resolved the issue. Did not want to leave without matter closed.

The truck handled just fine except that it revved high. When coasting down hill it revved high(very loud). It was a comfortable ride. The engine just revved high. You may want to check it out.

a very good experience with the pick-up and final return of the truck. Assigned packers and off loaders were very professional.

every rental company whether it be cars or trucks NEVER looks at tire pressures....you should require all your locations to do a monthly pressure check. The vehicle I rented was 7.5 psi low at each corner. At highway speeds and with weight that is dangerous and a major legal liability. I pumped the tires to correct pressure on site with a bicycle pump.

Truck was dirty inside and out and covered in bugs, hadn't been washed in a long time. Was offered a lower rental price for returning the truck to the start location instead of destination. Got charged for the return mileage which made the final total the same as it would have been if I had dropped it at my destination. Waste of my time.

We had a five-day trip. On day 4 while crossing Kansas the oil light came on which said we had 0% oil. We stopped at the next exit to discover, gas stations were closed. After checking the dip stick, it showed we were 3 quarts low. That's more than half the oil. Luckily it was during the day and we were able to get help at another location. The fluid levels should have been checked in Virginia before we left. Disappointing!

The computer system was exceptionally slow. It took over a half hour to check in and at one point the attended even tried to do it on his personal cellphone. I needed to make a modification to my original agreement, and he wasn't even able to change the time I planned on returning the truck or give me any information about the final cost with that modificiation. Imagine my surprise when I was charged for an entire second day as a result. Computer system/website definitely needs an update.

Customer service at Ace Hardware was great. Very friendly, helpful and pleasant. The U Haul website needs improvement. I spent 45 minutes trying to complete my reservation, I gave up and called the help desk and they said they hear this all the time. I would get to the end and couldn’t complete the rental. Otherwise all was fine

When I reserve a vehicle on line and give my credit card information plus you already have my drivers license information why do I have to repeat the process when I pick up the vehicle? It makes no sense for me to spend the time at your website giving out the details of my credit card to have to do it again.

The mobile check in/pick-up/drop-off needs improvement. I had to go inside to pick up my key when my understanding was that I wouldn't need to do so. The dolly I ordered was not in the truck so I had to go back in to get that as well. There were no instructions on my phone about what do with the key when I dropped the truck off nor was there any indication about how to record my mileage. I ended up processing the entire transaction with a representative inside the store rather than doing it all on my phone like it was supposed to work. Please improve this process.

The app didn't work at all for me, even after I contacted customer service. Thankfully the folks at Ace were able to get my reservation working for me. The staff at Ace were absolutely amazing - helpful, friendly, a pleasure to deal with. I am, however, extremely unimpressed with the U-Haul app.

I was very un happy with this drop off and will not use them again. The store was very nice but the uhall represented was not rude but gave us a hard time as to why they gave us a truck with a lot of miles on it she said it should not have been used for a one way travel. Well that’s not our fault I don’t work for uhall and don’t know your specific rules. She held us up harping on this issue. We also returned the truck with exactly what we where told to put in it for gas and it was off 1/16, not sure why we put in what the gauge recommended. She also commented on the oldness and scratches on the truck, again all these were reviewed before we took the truck in the first place. We will rent again from zingy but I will not be returning at that ace hardware.

The truck was an older vehicle with almost 100k miles. It was fine for what we needed but had been through some usage in its past. It was as clean as expected for the amount of usage.

We were given a tow dolly with dry rotted tires. This caused one of the tires to fall apart on the hwy causing my truck to lose control. I was so scared. We very slowly drove to nearest Walmart hoping that the tire wouldn’t explode. The car technician then told us that both tires were dry rotted and the same thing would happen to the other tire if it wasn’t replaced. We had called road side assistance after the fact. We had already lost time our priority was to get it fixed as soon as possible. This could have caused a terrible accident.

This Ace Store that i rented from has an excellent staff but the U-Haul process to rent equipment is very time consuming. The staff were knowledgeable with every step of the process but the process required them to wait for computer screens to load, walk outside to verify items, come back inside and complete the transaction. It was a constant back and forth and this is a small part of thier overall business as a store. U-Haul needs to streamline this process and in doing so verify it's timelines by standing on the customer side of the counter and not in a corporate cubicle making the determination that "the process works". I feel bad for every Ace employee who has to work on Sundays when the U-Haul business is at its peak. It's ironic that a broken process would be found inside of a store full of things meant to fix that which is broken.

The truck I rented was jerking crazy -no matter waht speed I was driving - it made the ride and driving the truck very uncomfortable - My stomach was a mess and of the rental with all the shaking. I did let the rental place know when I drove it around the building and was told zit should not do this since it is a fairly new truck. the experince of this drive was not good at all.

have the u-haul call center reservationist prompt customers ALL options that needs to be determined at time of pickup, i.e. do you desire option to add 1 of 2 types insurance and/or also notify customer cost per mile ( $0.89) … these weren't told/ask when making reservations...sure would had helped so I could informed others what to expect when making U-haul reservations/rental... work

The cargo van I used worked well, was clean, etc. However, it is extremely difficult for the driver to see behind the vehicle due to the metal shield behind the seat. It has cutout holes in it that blocks about 50% of the view from the rearview mirror. This is a safety hazard. Furthermore, the sideview mirrors on the van I rented were fixed. For tall drivers like me, it was a nuisance trying to see behind me thru those mirrors. That needs to be corrected.

Tell the true prices. I was told the price was $19.99 but when I got the bill it was $79.99. I understand I went over the miles but NO ONE told me what would happen if I went over the miles. I was not expecting a bill over $100.

My reservation was for a van. Upon arrival I was informed that it was "under repair" and the other vans in the lot weren't available. I was given a truck instead. I then had to wait 30 minutes while they tried to figure out how not to charge me the higher mileage or insurance rate (since the truck was obviously not my choice). Not a great experience overall.

Truck broke down 4 hours into a 15 hour trip. Truck could not be repaired so had to do a transload, was not on the road until 26 hours later. Worst experience that I've had. Our feeling was that this truck was on its last leg so assign it to a one way move to get rid of it at my expense. I have a similar move and have become gun shy using U-Haul.
