I believe the self check in doesn’t work as efficiently as it should. I rented 3 trucks and van in the space of 4 days. I ended paying more money for the 17ft truck I rented because the site could not determine that my current location at the time was south st uhaul which is where I picked up and also return the truck as plan. I’ve had some great experiences renting from the south st location but Feb 19th & 20th was not. I don’t want anything for free I just want the same 5star customer service I give my customers on Moving Help when I’m the customer renting trucks from that location.

The vehicle appeared clean, but when my wife was loading the van she went to open the side door and slipped and fell on an oily substance that was all over the upper corner of the van. She injured her right shoulder when she struck the floor/wall of the van. It was apparent that either something was spilled and not cleaned up or, the facility used something to clean or "polish" the appearance on the floor that was slippery causing her fall and injury. We reported this to the staff at the facility and where told they would report this incident and we would receive a call. They even followed up with us that afternoon that they had filed the report. We are still waiting to be contacted by someone. I'm horrified that this was allowed to happen in the first place and even more angry that there is no followup. I guess the only way we can deal with this is through a lawyer and the legal system. So much for caring about your customers.

I didn't receive a copy of my transaction after returning the equipment. I called the location and they sent it to me right away. The return date was off by a day though. I returned it on 2/9/2020 and the Email receipt stated 2/10/2020. It doesn't look like I was charged for it, but I wanted to make a mention of it in case a charged showed up later. The staff was very nice and helpful and the facility was clean and easy to access.

The 24/7 pick up by phone experience was non existant. The app could not verify my location (yes GPS was on and my browser is allowed to use) The app kept telling me to scan a barcode near the lock boxes. There was no bar code anywhere. Going inside, the person at the desk had no idea about the bar code. She said "other people have had the same problem. I don't know anything about that.". I essentially had to go thru the entire rental process again with her. What an amazing waste of my time. The vehicle itself was fine. Return / Check in process was fine although I see the potential to have to wait if the employee was not already outside. Overall the pickup experience was painful and the rest was average. I think it's silly that the vehicles start out with 1/4 tank of gas.

The truck was clean but died on day one of move. We loaded entire truck on Superbowl Sunday. When it was time to move truck to new location, the truck wouldn't start due to a dead battery. This was big inconvenience since helpers had limited time. I had to call roadside assistance. The whole project was put off until Monday due to the inconvenience. I would like a credit on my credit card since the equipment didn't work properly. Please help.

Equipment was clean and well maintained but the 17' truck had over 140,000 miles on it and the transmission is near shot. Thank goodness I had a short move of only 11 mi r/t. Even at that, I was hoping it made it through this move. Staff were outstanding and I would go back and recommend this UHaul location. One young man even knew the long history of UHaul which I thought was impressive.

The woman asked whether it was round trip I stated yes and gave her the one way mileage assuming a professional wood thin double that are asked more questions they kept making all different types of deals until I was thoroughly confused and then when I came back I owed another chunk of money they no longer give unlimited mileage don't know where that went the buyer beware then she threatened me with the police after feeling like being nickeled and dimed me from the very beginning . I threatened them with the attorney general. Scammers

This is the worse Uhaul I’ve ever been into. It’s not the location it was the staff. She had so much attitude problem. 1st of all when I went to picked up the truck there was no one in the office I had to wait 5 minutes just standing there waiting for associate. Second when I got the truck I usually check everything so I told the same associate that the truck needed air in the tire and she said no it’s fine we just received that truck. It was 40 PSI when I check and it supposed to be 75 PSI. And I even asked her what should i do if anything happens to the Truck, her answer was Oh you declined the safe move so idk or call their emergency road side assistance. I went to a gas station and got the air. 3rd I checked their equipment very thoroughly because it was snowing and sleet plus it was little dark so I was rushing a little. When I return their equipment same way they gave me they charge me with cleaning fees for 30 dollars. Nice way to rip people off. And last of all when I went to return the equipment back I nocked on the counter thinking someone might be inside and will come out so same associate who rented out the equipment to me came and said why why you doing that for? And I told her that I thought someone will come assist me if they hear me knock and she started shacking her head. I mean really? What is this racial discrimination? We give business to uhaul so you can get paid. We deserved some respect. I remember when old staff like John used to supervise this place it was awesome but now I feel like they don’t deserve our business. And shame on you for ripping people off for cleaning fees. You should have inspect the equipment on the 1st place like tire pressure in the air. I bet you was so lazy and rushing because it was snowing and sleeting our side that you never inspect the equipment properly on the 1st place. You just checked the mileage real quick and that’s it and when I returned the equipment next say which the weather was good you actually saw the equipment. It was dirty already. I gave you your equipment back the same way you gave me. Matter fact I gave you more gas in your truck and with 75PSI tire pressure. Which it should be. You should be thanking me not charging me with cleaning fees which you never clean on the 1st place.
