I had a reservation for 10:30..... the doors were locked until 10:45 because there was one employee working. The employee was showing another customer a storage unit. He did not even acknowledge that we were 15 mins past our reservation. When I returned the vehicle I waited 10 minutes in line while he helped another customer in front of me. I had no problem with that, until he literally walked past me and said “oh you’re returning that? And just took the key and said you were all set. He couldn’t have told me that instead of making me wait 10 minutes?? This is the second time I have had a bad experience with this place and will NOT be going back.

The Webster location was really far from our home in Fairport and we were told we could return it up until 7pm. When we arrived, it was closed and we had to leave the keys without explanation through the slot in the door. WE had to call the next day to confirm all was taken care of and it was.

My order was changed at the last minute due to the equipment I ordered not being available at the location I scheduled. I was very dissapointed as it changed all the plans j had scheduled for my moving day. The customer service rep at the Victor store was kind and very helpful in trying to make up for the inconvenience, however, having a smaller truck was not an adequate solution. I don't know if I would use U-Haul again. Also, the employee was late at the location in which I picked up my truck, setting my schedule behind. It was an 830 store opening time and the store was not opened as advertised.

Worst luck ever or just a BAD business? My fiancé and I booked online several weeks in advance and never get a call confirming our move date. I call. The guy says I have no reservation under your name. Also says I have no truck for you. He also said I can’t pick up or drop off at his location because he would be closed. Said I can book for an additional $135+ and can take your card number over the phone. Mind you, I already booked a reservation for $171+. Why would I pay you an additional $135 to make me drive an additional 60+ miles to Irondequoit? I call the 800 number. Linda helps a ton. Says I can pick up in Irondequoit and drop off in Webster and get a bigger truck! Win. Unfortunately my troubles don’t stop here. Little did I know but that is now a one way trip and is more expansive. Also makes me drive an additional 60 miles. -More money. I finish my move and bring the gas tank back up to a whopping quarter of a tank (literally needed gas the second I got in it) and wake up the next day to a $15 gas charge and a $30 gas charge... So my $15 + $15 + $30 = $60 in gas for what should of been a 10 mile move. Call to question why a $39.95 rental is now pushing $300 and the 800 number says they will have a manager call within 72 hours. 4 days later and no manager has called. I call back the 800 number and get Linda AGAIN. Now she can’t even get in touch with a manager... I will take every legal action I can until this gets resolved. Also, I will be sending this in a letter form to the BBB and Attorney General. I’ll CC U-HAUL. This is completely unacceptable and needs immediate attention.

Utilized the self-pickup option and truck was not located where the app indicated it would be. Had to walk around the entire building to find it. Other than that, everything else was great. I have used U-Haul many times in the past and recommended them to anyone who needs a rental truck.

Have someone responsible to be there during hours stated and/or at least a phone # where someone would actually answer. Door was locked when I returned truck at 4:30 pm, (was due back at 4:45 pm). Tag sign at door said "will return at 4:30" and no one was there; I called both #s but no live answer, so, after waiting 10 min. in 15* weather I ran back to truck and took a picture of odometer so I had proof of mileage and time. Then I wound up locking keys in truck! Consequently I was charged an extra day and was refused having it taken off invoice. Any incurred cost on your side because of this is incidental because no one was there, and if they finally did return, should have checked to see that the truck was returned. (to not have a spare key is incredible). You can redeem yourself by crediting my card with the overcharge. BTW, the woman who rented me the truck was very good and helpful but in the end the customer needs to be treated fairly, especially when the business is at fault.

The uhaul online self-checkin does not work. Use Chrome with a Samsung Galaxy S7. Got halfway through, but it would not accept my odometer pictures. I gave up and left. When I came back, the self truck dropoff did not work. Again, wouldn't accept odomoter pictures. (But during checkin, pictures of self and drivers license were fine). Location was closed and again, had to give up.

This location had no specific drop off location so I guessed on where to park the truck and left the key in the door. They called me asking where the furniture pads were and I had already called uhaul to inform them that I didn't receive any pads from my pick up location. The process seemed rather unorganized and unprofessional. The customer service reps over the phone were very nice and helpful but that was the only above average experience I had during my move.

The parking lot where the trailers are stored was muddy and full of ruts, which made moving the trailer difficult when attaching and removing from our hitch. It would be helpful if the parking lot surface could be improved.

Somebody came right out to meet me after I dropped off the truck, did an inspection and directed me to the office to pick up my receipt. Fast, friendly service. I would go back to this location.
