The location in Webster is fine, we had no issue with that. We used the app to do 24/7 touchless pickup, and the appliance dolly we paid for was NOT in the truck. The good news was, we picked up the truck when the office was open, and ultimately received one. The irksome was that we had to wait 10 minutes for the only employee to finish conducting his personal business on the phone (he is apparently a landlord) before he attended to us. Sign of the times, I guess. Truck was clean enough, glad we didn't need to drive it far, it definitely had some trouble getting into gear.John M.

Not sure why but the gentleman behind the counter was aloof and almost robotic in his interactions with me while signing out the van. He was better upon the return 5 hours later. Perhaps he needed some warm words from me but his demeanor was off putting.David P.

I was not happy with the condition of the truck. The seat-cover kept coming off, the windshield was disgusting -couldn't even see through it at night, which was compounded by headlights that were barely visible. And there was no dome light. The fact that I was charged $157 to have this sub-standard truck for only 2 days is ridiculous. I wasn't allowed to drop off at a different location that would have saved me about $40 in mileage. I have to rent a much larger truck at the end of this week for the real move, and I'll be renting from one of your competitors!!Christopher C.

The man at U-Haul was great. I had ordered the trick as phone pick up but I guess he has a system problem the person he was on the phone was frustrating. The an wasn't ready with our blankets I had to scan my license 4 times cause the lady on the phone kept interrupting the process this is like my 8th u haul rental in 5 years and I usually do it all on my own so I was really annoyed . The truck was so dirty I cleaned it and returned it better than I got it. I'm very disappointed. Not sure I'll use U-Haul again.Sarah B.
I don't like the return policy. The phone option rarely works (never finds location), and it is slow, laggy and buggy. Would prefer to be able to use a computer after drop off to return the equipment/upload photos.Elena K.

The office manager Gary was very professional and was able to help me in person when the U-Haul app wasn't working for me. I was also able to change my drop off time when I was running late to pick up the truck. I would highly recommend this location to others that want to rent a truck. They have a wide variety of trucks in different lengths to choose from.Alexander J.
The location opened a half hour later than it was supposed to, the employees failed to show up on time. I had to pay four laborers 45 minutes of time for moving that we didn't get to do, shameful. Zero apologies, zero compensation, and no follow up on the issue. Will look for another vendor when we need a truck next time.Ryan E.

Showed Up for quick 247 check in and the app would not allow me to access the key/pick up the truck. I went to go inside and the store was closed between 1 and 2 PM. Had to wait an hour for guy to come back from lunch. At that point truck was not in the system but was physically at the store. Took 30 minutes utes to resolve. Wasted 90 miniutes of my time. Really happy with our whole experience at U-Haul/Climate Control Webster. The vehicle was very clean and well maintained, the young woman who helped us when we came to pick up the van was cheery, friendly and knowledgeable, and the after hours return was easy and convenient. Another small thing we really appreciated: those â€œforearm forkliftâ€ straps you had right at the front counter, we bought them on impulse and were really surprised at what a difference they make for heavy lifting. (We were moving several heavy pieces of furniture). I expect my reviews should not say anything negative about the competition, but I will say that we have tried two other truck/van rental places before and they were very disappointingâ€¦after this superior experience with U-Haul/Climate Control, we will never go anywhere else.David J.

the cost of uhaul is way over priced, taking advantage of the customers by using the country's events/issues against the customers. it was just a used trailer that had been paid for years ago. bluntly putting it, uhaul is a rip off. we are better off buying a trailer, tote our stuff and sell it when we are done.Debbie F.

During my experience my appt time was 10am. The employee did not arrive and unlock the business until 1025am. Uhaul should have adjusted my start and end time accordingly. And no apology to myself or other customers was made for the employees tardinessMATTHEW N.

Mobile app for pickup wasn't working. Thankfully someone was there to assist. Vehicle's brakes were bad, made stopping tricky.Keith S.
The online pickup experience was a complete fail. The web site wouldn't work without location turned on, but never asked. Even turning it on and retrying, it could not function. The support desk was a 20 minute wait, and then suggested downloading the app instead. That didn't work either and I sent a screenshot to support. I then had to go through a long process with support to manually register for the pickup. Eventually it worked, but I was an hour late getting the truck home.Eric B.
That truck should be decommissioned. It's not bad but at 130k miles, steering is loose and small things like the ramp lock, AC, and wheel wells are showing signs of break downnate S.

Excellent reception by management he took me out to visually inspect each piece of equipment until we found the unit that fit my requirements. The unit was ready as he promised. I rented a trailer several days ahead of time. I had a 10 am pick up time. Arrived and sign on door said back at 10:15. At 10:40 he finally pulled in towing the trailer we got. My time is valuable to. We were over an hour late starting. No apologies just he saved us mileage to go get it? I rented it from his location, why should I drive somewhere else to get it. This is not the first time I've had issues at this location. Very poor service.Cheryl K.

I was relieved the location was open, I was not able to use the mobile pick up, it continued to ask for contacts and would not allow me to input the information again, just kept giving me the same message. Once I went into the store they were able to get me the keys. There should be a number to call if the mobile option does not work. It was very frustrating. Thankful the location has Sunday hours.Charles H.

The truck was a junker . I have no idea how they rent these falling apart trucks to customers with their heigh rates . Yeah it's says 19 dollars but it's never 19 dollars don't be fooled. The trucks breaks are so bad , the paddle got stuck a couple of times , real horror . Never again U-Haul .Diana K.

U haul was rented from 445pm mon to 445 wed i returned it 2pm wed but forgot to bring dolly back, was gone until 3pm and the manager called me rudely wanting to know where I was and if I was coming back! Not to mention seal on door leaked with all the rain and soaked everything i was moving in the truck.Dan W.

Waited about 2 hours outside of a locked door to pick up my trailer. Sign said â€œbe back soonâ€. Unacceptable customer service. Trailer was fine. Needed to be swept in the back due to trash and debris left from last customer, and a few small holes need to be welded. Our property got very wet from a small shower along the drive.Ryan C.

Scheduled pick up was delayed due to low staff. Many had to wait 15-25 mins. Truck inside was dirty and had to clean all windows. Outside of truck looked like someone had taken to a mud pit. Truck perform well and move was a success. Email address for the rental was incorrect and I called to change and this was not fixed. Could have caused problems. Need to get IT guy to get that fixed. Email went to my brothers account. On an item that individuals needs to assist their lives I was hoping for better customer service. Not lip service. Thanks.jeffrey V.

Having a bad experience with the app and picking the truck after hours, I made sure that I return the truck during their business hours. I filled the truck up and cleaned the truck inside so there will be no drama on the return. I walked in the office and asked them to check everything and give me a final bill with no extra charges. So the lady called in this person to help check the truck. The person helping the truck was extremely rude and arrogant. First he made an issue about some scratches on the truck which were there before and questioned me , I said that these were there when I picked up the truck in Canada. So he said I don't know and I will check the pictures from before in the system, on that I said please do but we also have insurance coverage so we are fully covered you can't charge us for this. Then he made an issue for the check engine light and asked me if I put diesel in the gasoline engine truck. To that I told him that we reported the check engine light as soon as we picked up the truck and if I had put diesel in a gas engine we wouldn't have made it to their location. Then he brushed me aside and said that I will get the final bill in an email and now he has to go back and park the truck. A few mins later I got the final bill with $480 extra charges for mileage over allowed range. So that person took the KM number and treated it as miles and then charged me for more than 1100 miles extra! I was allowed 4204 KMs (2600 miles) and I drove around 3770KMs (~2300 miles). That person considered 3770 KM as miles and charged me for 1170 miles! After that I started calling uhaul and after 3 calls of around 1 hr each I was able to get a claim id but was told that a manager would look at it in 2-3 days to get back to me! SO I went to the place again the next morning and after another hour wait was able to convince them their mistake. They finally refunded me the extra charge but no apologies. Not to mention I had to waste almost 3 hours to get this sorted out. How is this a good experience?Syed Z.
