The only negative comment I have is minor. The wi-fi coverage at the check-in location was spotty which caused me to have to repeat some of the check-in steps for the Truck Share 24/7 multiple times.
Even though I rented the truck to pick up in person, I was told I should have done the online pickup process. The online process seems more complex than is should be.
It was horrific. The owner was not even at the store and the woman behind the counter at the gas station gave us the keys. Did not go over the contract OR make us sign anything and made us move multiple vans to get ours out as it was boxed it. Did not have keys correctly labeled. Van had wrong equipment in it and did not have the equipment we requested and were ensured would have when they called to confirm. AWFUL.
Implementing the use of technology particularly wanting me to download an app did not have the effect of simplifying the process. I created a username and password, had it verified, but when I logged in, it said it wasn't there. Plus at the location, the internet connection was not reliable so it took them a long time to go through the process.
Nothing. Please note that your representative (Josh) provided superior customer service to us. He was courteous and efficient, and was able to answer any questions we had. Josh made the entire process pain free. One of the members of our group even made the comment after we left that he wished all customer service was as excellent as was provided by Josh!
There was an error made to the mileage of the truck on my contract compared to the truck actual mileage. And my attendant Bennett walked with me through the truck and made sure the gas tank and mileage was true to the contract and he and I caught the oversight together and immediately he made it right and contacted Michelle his manager who worked hand in hand right away even though she was off duty to fix this for me the customer! I felt special I felt cared for and I felt protected! I would hands down say this made my experience even better than if everything was just so in order! I'm blessed to have gotten to see this first hand the teamwork to help the client! Great job U-haul team!

Friendly service when the 24 hour contactless pickup would not register location or barcode. Return process easy and smooth. Vehicle in great shape and ran smoothly. Great and easy experience!
The mobile check in was just awful. Asked for information to be submitted beforehand to speed up the process, I did that, then it still takes 30 minutes to do stuff in the parking lot I could've done weeks before.
App kept freezing, had to complete transaction at counter

Customer service could have been better. I was told to use check in on my phone when I arrived to pick up the equipment. It was not working. Also when returning the equipment, I was told to do everything on my phone which was also not working. The way those things were handled could have been better. I would not have came to the counter to ask for help if it was working fine on my phone.
Was informed I could not check in and had to use the app asked where to pick up they keys and was not told. Our vehicle was not where it was said to be and still had signage in the windshield we had to remove. When attempting to return the vehicle we had an issue where my phone had died and I was unable to complete the process. I was pointed to a sign on the front door which had QR codes by the woman working there. These QR codes led us to advertisements! I was forced to troubleshoot the process by myself. Unhelpful employee and disorganized I will not be coming back!
Come down in prices on the mileage use
The lady who checked me in, Sarah, said part of her computer system wasn't working and she had to take a photo of my driving license on her cell phone. I feel very uncomfortable about this because now she has my personal information on her device. If my identity is compromised I will seek further action from U-Haul.
They took extra money from my bank account. I was told one price for estimate and it had gone up by $5 and some change because I went 10 miles instead of the estimated 5 miles. That part was no big deal. I wasn't sure how far it was from my house to the storage unit. This was on 12/21/19 when I rented the uhaul. Then on 12/23/19 I check my account and they pulled a second payment. I had the truck only for 2 hours instead of the 6 hrs like I thought I was going to need. I went to the location and got into a screaming match because the old guy working thought he would win and he couldn't tell me why there was another charge. I got no reason why there's a second charge to my account. They also had the gas mileage wrong in the first place. Then tried to act like it was my fault. They didn't do their job checking it before I even showed up. I will never recommend them to anyone nor will I ever use them again. Highly dissatisfied customer. The customer service is horrible.
