I was there for 1 hour and 45 minutes to rent a Haul. It took on average over 20 minutes per transaction. That is unacceptable. The location was understaffed. William, who was working behind the counter was patient and kept a calm head, even with customers who weren't being patient. He said there was a switch to a new software as well for them which they were still learning. It was evident when I got to the counter. As I had checked-in in advance to supposedly "speed up" my check-out time. William and the other staff who was outside getting vehicles ready were trying there best, I don't know that it was their fault, or the managements to set them up that they'd fail or customers would have such a long wait.

Reduce the wait times. Most of the staff was hard at work, but were still understaffed to deal with *reservations* that were waiting. Brittney was super-awesome, though. We had some major issues with our U-Box shipment, and she was very friendly and helpful in getting our claims filed and trying to get us sorted out.

My recommendation would be a "Yes" due to convenient location. I would caveat my recommendation with the fact that many customers (including me) waited upwards of 2 hours for pre-reserved vehicles on 15 Jul 2017. There was only one representative working the counter, one outside, and no manager on duty.

Providing timely service is a start. I had a reservation and I waited in line over an hour which is odd given that there were only 7-8 customers in front of me. Moreover I got bilked for extra charges after I returned the vehicle. This is a truly awful business.

I can't blame the Bladensburg location, because they were the ones that finally helped me. But if I could I'd give U-Haul a Poor rating overall. It took three different locations and 4+ hours to get my truck only to have to drive an hour in DC traffic to get back near the U-haul where I was originally going to pick up the truck. The K street DC location literally made me wait three hours and eventually required me to go to a third location, which cost me $20 for a Taxi ride. I was promised a $50 rebate for the hassle only to find weeks later that it was never refunded. Just terrible customer service all around. First bad experience with U-Haul. Hope for better next time.

The questions above do not pertain to the situation that occurred with my rental experience. I rented a 20' truck online from Kenilworth Ave for a one way trip. The closest pickup was New Hampshire ave (OK that's fine). So I left work to go pick up the truck and arrived a little early, but besides the point, the truck that I rented, and it was being used and the person that was to return the truck got it into an accident. Your best offer was for me to get a 15" with a trailer from Bladensburg road NE. And I had to pay additional money for a trailer that I DID NOT ASK FOR , and everyone (NH ave location) was unwilling to accommodate me or give me any discount. The woman that was helping me was on the phone with her "regional" and they gave me up to 60 miles to use, but I explained to them that I was only using 35 at the MAX, so please, this is totally unacceptable and I need answers

My experience with UHaul was horrible. I was given incorrect information by the agents handling the rental, the manager lied about overhearing my conversation with the agent, the manager made no effort to find a solution to the problem, and I was repeatedly placed on hold for very long periods when calling the pick up location and then transferred to the incorrect person or disconnected. I will never rent from UHaul again.

Your truck have hash marks instead of numbers so it's hard to put the exact amount of gas back into the truck. On the contract it shows different. I put back what I used maybe more and they still charged me extra money. The computer shut down I had to cancel my über car I been patronizing that uhaul location for over 40 plus years.

I really liked the two employees who helped us at U-Haul today! We came in for a 10-foot truck in the morning, and then brought the truck back to the U-Haul to fill up a U-Box in the afternoon. I forget the name of the woman who checked out a truck for us in the morning, but the woman who checked out the U-Box was named Brittany. In the morning, there was a line of customers beginning to form. The woman who checked our truck out was getting a lot of stuff done, just going through everything step by step, very efficiently, but not getting too worked up or energetic. Even though there were a people were waiting in line, she didn't become nervous all of a sudden trying to get things done. She was super professional, and her demeanor was almost pre-deescalating, if that makes any sense. I mean to say, I think her attitude prevented people from getting too frustrated waiting in line. In the afternoon, we brought back the truck, and Brittany checked out a U-Box for us. I was a little anxious using the U-Box, and of course, anxious in general about shipping the U-Box across the country. She told me some interesting things about gypsy moths (I'm shipping my U-Box to California) while we were waiting for various forms to process. She was also very relaxed and assured me that she would let me know when the U-Box was shipped. All in all, I was really impressed with U-Haul's services. Even though I'm leaving the area, I'll definitely be recommending U-Haul Bladensberg to my friends still here.

Although I had a positive experience at the Bladensburg location, my overall experience with UHAUL has been poor. This is the second time within this year that I have utilized your services and have unfortunately spent more money, time, and energy due to errors on UHAUL's part. My reservation for a 15ft truck was established a month ago. When I reported to UHAUL for my 10:00am pickup at the Walker Mill location, I was told the key to my truck was misplaced. After waiting over an hour to receive further accommodations, I was told that my reservation would be a 6:30pm and the pick up location would be in DC, which would add more mileage to my trip. As a direct result of UHAUL's negligence, I have lost deposits for movers, and have experienced a surge in monetary expenses and poor rapport not only with UHAUL (as my mileage doubled, and the gas required to return the truck did as well), but also with Comcast, my apt. I further spent additional money ensuring gas in my personal vehicle, as commuting back and forth to determine accommodations were necessary, and groceries I purchased spoiled as I waited for those accommodations. Based on my multiple experiences with UHAUL, more specifically this tragic experience, I would not recommend UHAUL to someone I cared about. Going through a separation is challenging. Further grievances from UHAUL made my process more gruesome.
