I was charged twice for a rental on 10/15/20, the first truck I was given had a warning light showing a problem with a rear tire and it was wobbly. I made a u-turn at Bladensburg Road and went back to the store. I let the clerk know there was a problem with a back tire, he reassigned me another truck. He assured me I would not be double charged. I WAS ANYWAYS!!! This is the second time I've had problems with the equipment and charges at that location. The first occurrence was in September 2020.

I've rented trucks and vans from this location several times. My most recent experience was by far the best. The woman at the counter was very friendly and fast.
Booked the u haul at different location and it u haul truck has been automatically assigned 13 miles away from the actual booking place without any prior information. Not happy with the incident happened with me. Going to complain about it.
Very unprofessional talking to myself and others
The service was so slow, I spent more than one hours before I can book a truck, and because of that uhaul charge me money for after service, this is not fair at all, I will never use uhaul again ðŸ˜¢
The van was clean but it had indicator lights on the dash. I was charged a cleaning fee even though I brought the van back as clean as possible

Please remove the hand truck and bag with blankets from your trucks. Or make it easily removable if customer chooses to do so. I was told that I can't remove it because seal will break and I would have to pay for hand truck rental. Bag of blankets is permanently attached to the truck. It takes space that can be used for some of my belongings, instead I'm forced to haul around your belongings.
I cant recommend your company to anyone. On September 3, 2020 I put a $40 deposit on one of two October 1, 2020 hitch installations scheduled at your Landover location. I reserved two trailers for pick up on October 3, 2020 at your Central Ave. location. I showed up at your Landover location at 7:00 am on October 1, 2020. I was be told "Sorry, we don't have a mechanic and we haven't had one in weeks. You hitch installation has to be canceled.
I ordered a regular dolly to aide with my move. I was offered a much larger one when I arrived. I accepted it not knowing it was too big. I paid for something I had no need for.

Employees were openly mocking customers who we're on hold and another after they walked out of building. I found this highly unprofessional.
It was perfect
This particular trailer had a broken tire tie-down strap that the location was unable to fix. Luckily I had enough ratchet straps to supplement.
Continue to hire employees like Chris and Marcella who both display excellent customer service.
Positive feedback here: I had a reservation at another location where "the system was down", no ability to rent anything and no idea how long before things were working again, and my schedule was shot. I called the Bladensburg location, they had the equipment I needed, got me in and out very quickly, everything was easy and positive. They are further away from my home but I'll try them first the next time I need to rent. They saved my bacon!
While the actual location, the people and the equipment was excellent the reservation experience and finding the truck was a disaster. I will never use a neighborhood dealer again and the one on GA Ave in Washington DC should not be allowed to rent Uhauld. If you want more info call me at (434) 2588470. Also the amount of time I was put on hold to talk to an agent is ridiculous. Get a call back system. I will try Budget next time.
The entire crew at this location is extremely friendly. They answered all of my questions regarding my bill thoroughly. Everyone was in great spirits.
The trucks need some upgrading and the staff needs to pay more attention to ensuring that the rented equipment are loaded when the truck is picked up. I had to lift all my furniture because someone forgot to include the dolly.
Something for sure y'all can do to improve is to make sure your employees inform the customer that we will have to pay PER MILE And ALSO be charged for not bringing it back by a exact time then what there own customer service person told me face to face
The manager was very pleasant & engaging on every visit (box purchases prior to rental & upon vehicle return). The online check in delayed my pick up 45 mins due to limited staff onsite who were seemingly having a challenging morning.
Fix your trucks and be nice customers...
This was a secondary location, and not my first location of choice. I was never informed after making a reservation 6 weeks in advance that my original location and any surrounding areas did not have a vehicle I needed. When I arrived on time to the Falls Church location where I had booked in mid August, I was informed I had no truck, and that I could either "deal with it" or call customer service on the phone. Eventually, one staff member, and what I assume was the manger helped us call cust. service, and surrounding locations to find a truck, however I think its VERY poor management for UHaul to have never sent ANY type of communication that there was no truck available, and to have me show up on the day of my reservation, assuming everything was fine, for staff to tell me "there's nothing I can do".
