When I finished the online self rental process, the app told me to "proceed inside to the service counter" to pick up keys. After waiting in a 15 minute line, I was told that the keys were "probably outside." This was very inconvenient.

Gas level was billow the mark 1/2 and I returned car on same level, but I was charged for gas even I complain to field man. He said that everything is okay.

I had ordered a furniture dolly with the U-Haul Cargo Van but there wasnt any when we picked it up. I only realized this once we had left the location and it was too late to go back. It made carrying and transporting the furnitures much harder. I would like to request a refund for the furniture dolly that I had paid for. I also called the night before to double heck that my reservation was correct.

Having quite a bit of experience with renting U-Haul Trucks, I was thoroughly impressed by the customer service from this location. After a wide variety of interactions with different locations, this particular location stands out in my mind as outstanding. Although we did have an issue with our rental, Chris provided a resolution to insure the rental process was efficient and seamless. A++

Average because the man who worked there was super ambiguous on where to find the U Haul after giving me the keys. He’s just like “you’ll see it outside.” Outside where? Outside is a big place. Also, he did not know I had already paid online.

The customer service was great but the parking lot/ area where you store and pick up vehicles is a crazy, confusing mess. Way too small of a space to operate a Uhaul. I always try to go with the Uhaul off of Rhode Island Ave. in DC. The customer service is impeccable. Shoutout to Tiffany at that location who is amazing.

It was annoying that they gave me a truck with 5/8 tank of gas and told me they would charge me $30 extra if I returned it with less than 1/4 tank. Which is the company policy, but it made me go out of my way to get gas because I was just under 1/4 tank. I made sure to give the next person a little more leeway.

I rented my van online. I got to the location and followed the online check in instructions, was on the 4th step, which took several minutes to get to, and then after waiting 10 minute son step 4, an employee walked up to the van with another customer who checked out the same van. I had to then go inside to check out the van, which took an additional 10 minutes. So to rent a van, at a location that was not particularly busy, took 25 minutes. Thankfully, the man working at the desk was helpful and extended my check out time. The van was in great condition.

I have rented from U-Haul many times over the years. My experience has been uniformly good and often excellent. This occasion, however, was less than optimal. The counter staff at the time of pickup was excellent. The equipment yard, however, was chaotic. And the chaos was not helped by a disorganized and rude manager. The result was an extended wait time while a functioning camera was found, and then several suggestions by said manager that I should hurry up and get out of the way so he could get other patrons out before closing time. The result was I was pushed out of the yard without being supplied furniture pads I had ordered and consequently I had to return a second time, where again I had to wait while the manager and staff attended to other closing tasks. Additionally, the truck I was provided had a defective padlock on the back gate, and the utility dolly I rented had a defective wheel making it difficult to use. It appears no one had seriously inspected either of those items in some time. The combination of the issues described above made the process of renting more irritating and stressful than I have come to expect from U-Haul.
