I live closer to more than 5 U haul locations but drive the extra miles to come to this U Haul location. The General Manager and staff treat you like family. I have been renting a van each week for the last month and would give a gold star to the staff. Keep up the excellent customer service!!!!!

I am only giving this relatively high rating because of Larry. This location needs more employees like Larry crocket. He not only went out of his way to assist me but also helped his co-worker who it was obvious were not well trained. Thanks to Larry that I was able to rent the trailer since at one point I was almost ready to walk away without the rental because of ineptness of the other person behind the counter. Also Saturday morning staffing seemed insufficient to handle the customer volume.

I called roadside assistance I was at the st charles lbbest buy Due to the car locking itself in I called roadside assistance i was near the vheicle waiting but didnt find anyone. , i called a locksmith company to come and unlock it . i was charged~ $180. I returned the car ear less than 24 hours late by 2 minutes and had called it to notify that i will be returning it later but my receipt shows an additional day at ~$89 and I also paid on pick up ~$80 and my card was charged ~$40

The trailer I was given had exposed wiring for the plug connection. The wiring touched the metal tongue and blew 2 fuses in my vehicle. I spent over 2 hours looking for and replacing the fuses that cost me around $10. Although the guy at the pickup location attempted to diagnose the problem, he said there is a wiring issue with my vehicle. The second wiring harness had some weak covering on it, and I needed to wrap electrical tape on the spot for safety. The inside and outside of the trailer was extremely dirty. On top of that, although the trailer was loaded properly and there was no wind, the trailer would sometimes start swaying to the point I thought I was going to wreck. I have loaded several of these trailers and pulled with the same vehicle, and never had this issue.

The 2 gentlemen (I forgot their names), were very courteous and patient. I was dealing with a domestic dispute in regards to my possessions and those guys remained professional. The next day I left snacks in the Uhaul truck, which were discarded due to one of the opened packages, a young lady compensated me for that which was very sweet of her to do.

When I picked up the truck I was basically just given the keys. I would have liked some to go above the basic requirements and walk me through how to use the truck parking brake, open rear gate and what accessories we included with my truck. The truck was old and beat up. I saw on my receipt that there was a portion of the truck that had been damaged and it said "Renter aware of and ok with the possibility of water damage". I was never made aware of this during pick up. Since I did not use any accessories, my hope was that the employees on site could remove that charge. Wrong, like I said, beyond anything absolutely basic, I would have to come back and speak with the manager the next day. It took me 45 minutes to simply return / check in the truck when I was done using it. I'm also glad that I didn't have to pay for anything when returning the truck because the system was down and they had to turn away paying customers. No manager was onsite to help assist. I already had low expectations for UHaul, but this was horrendous. The experience of moving is never fun and I wish there was a company that worked hard to help its customers during that time instead of being lucky we had the truck size in stock we reserved.
