Diesel engines that get better mpg than the V10, the high cost of fueling these beasts makes this moving option pretty close in expense to a moving company.

Let me see if I get this correct: I rent a 6x12 trailer from the U-Haul located at 2201 6th St. NW, Albuquerque, NM on Friday, May 18th. I load it and leave for Tucson, AZ at 0600 on Sunday, May 20th. The trailer immediately waddles back and forth--all over the road--due to a bent in front tire issue on that trailer. I have to go back home, unload the trailer and then drive it back to the U-Haul dealer on 2201 6th St. and wait until 0900 to turn it back in and rent another one. At 0907 on Sunday, May 20th I rent a 15 foot Truck--because there are no trailers available. I was asked where I was going, and I stated that I was driving to 766 W Champions Run Way, Oro Valley, AZ 85755 from Edgewood, NM. I was never asked or told about a specific amount of mileage (which turned out to be 531 miles on my paperwork). The drive from the U-Haul dealer to my Edgewood home (8 Lomas Ct., Edgewood, NM 87015) is 29 miles. The drive from my Edgewood home to my Oro Valley home is 494 miles. The drive from my Oro Valley home to the place you all told me to go to turn in my 15 foot Truck rental is 12 miles. The total mileage for my trip was 535 miles--yet you all only allowed for 531 miles. Charging me an extra $1.26 for over mileage is ridicloulus. First, you inconvenience me by renting me a faulty trailer which I have to unload and return. Then you inconvenience me again, since I had to leave my truck in NM, because all you had was a15 foot Truck available for rental (never mind the loss in time of the day). Next, you don't give me enough mileage to cover the trip. Then I bring you the Truck back on Sunday, May 20th, 12 hours after I rented it, and it wasn't due until Wednesday, May 23 at 0907--allowing you to get it out on another rental to make more money. Finally, I leave it with 3/4 quarters of a tank of gas. All this, and how do you take care of your customer--Oh Yeah, YOU CHARGE ME AN ADDTIONAL $1.26!!!!!!!!!!! I will never use U-Haul again. - Frank

I returned my 4x8 trailer after having emptied out my storage unit E104.That was on May 2, I went inside and informed Hal Diaz to discontinue the rental on that unit. His words were that he will take care of it and made a note of it. It was busy in the store and I was in a rush. May 10 I got a email to inform me that I was charged for the next month rent and a delinquent fee was added to it totaling $79.95 I am trying to reach the main office to dispute these charges,however no luck so far. Please help me solve this mistake or error.

The person that took back the truck had an attitude like he was trying to show off to a new employee by talking down to us. Also we filled the truck with fuel and he said it was missing a quarter of a tank from the gas station to the uhaul lot. I didn't argue. I will never use this location again.

The estimate on the contract apparently did not include sales tax and an environmental fee. This confused the customer. In addition, the counter attendant was unable to explain the difference between the contract estimate and the bill although he was doing the best he could. There is no excuse for the contract estimate to not include all the taxes and fees. It is misleading and confuses the customer for no reason. The additional charges are a very unpleasant surprise after what would have been an excellent experience.

I reserved the truck for an 8:00 AM pick up online at my local U-Haul. The reservation was accepted online. I then received a phone call saying it was not available at that location and I would have to pick it up further away but could still pick it up at 8:00 AM. I received an email confirming the 8:00 AM pick up. I was told I could do step by step online at the time if pick up because the office would be closed. On the day of the reservation I arrived before 8:00 AM. When I tried to do step by step online I received a message to call a number for the reservation. When I called that number a message said they would not be in the office until Monday. I then called the manager's number, no answer. I called the customer service line and after 20 minutes on hold finally spoke to someone who could only file a complaint. I finally rented the truck when the store opened at 9:00 AM. Meanwhile my movers were getting paid for doing nothing for one hour. My entire U-Haul experience was terrible!!!!

I guess it was an alright experience, when we walked in no one greeted us it was just odd to walk in there and silence.. The girl who was in the first desk girl said over there and did not smile. Guy who proceeded to give us our reservation, he was Just a little more friendly i guess and said they’d were supper bussy this this weekend So make sure to bring it in by 6 a few times, which we knew and brought it way back earlier. Overall I guess an ok, we got want we needed but definitely customer service needs to improve!!!

Manager was horrible. He told us he didnt understand why we needed the truck so long. Said it didnt make sense. He was very unfriendly and made the experience awful. Truck had engine light and another light come on within hours. Not sure why I trusted uhaul again after what I dealt with last time, but this was the last time you get my business. I will make sure everyone knows how awful you guys are.
