Express checkout was done online prior to pick up and subsequently is no different than walking in green. All information is obtained in triplicate with painstakingly redundancies, irregardless of online submissions. I had an issue with the trailer that I was provided. I reserved a 6' X 12' trailer, but the width of the opening was reduced by 16" and I could not load a piece of cargo due to the narrow entry width. I was forced to rent another trailer from the Detroit Ave location and it cost me an additional $55 for 6 hours!Eric V.
My reservation was changed multiple time because my rental was double booked. Had to drive 45 minutes out of the way to pick up. Employee inside was very rude during pick up. Employee that helped hitch up and un hook at the end were very nice.Kristin B.

As long as you have employees like Breshawn Davis I would look for another company for my next truck rental. During my 28 day rental I used three trucks, one of which had no drivers side sun visor. I had had the truck for a week before I discovered the missing visor whereupon I returned it the next day for a swap which was Saturday. I was given the weekend rate and asked why I didn't return the truck sooner. Not only did Mr. Davis dispute my explanation but then flatly accused me of trying to scam U haul when I asked if it was illegal to rent a truck without a drivers sun visor and would I be compensated for being put in harms way through negligent truck inspection.Edward C.
DECEPTIVE INFORMATION ON YOUR WEBSITE! the trailer advertised as a 4'x7' trailer. Your fine print lists it as 39" which is almost a foot less than the big print. what a bunch of crap! i will go elsewhere for someone who does not feel the need to outright lie to their customer base.Todd H.

Our check-out process was great. The employee who helped us was basically a superhero with all the stuff she was juggling at once, she was very impressive and kind. My low star rating comes from our drop-off experience. It was during the national network disruption, so we couldn't do the mobile return after hours. Ultimately, this was fine, but in the moment we felt very lost, confused, and anxious. As first time customers we didn't have a clue what to do . Because the network outtage had been going on for hours, I would've expected a sign up on the door, or an employee to stay late, or something to help direct after-hours returns. Even a phone call to let us know what was going on and what to do since our return was expected after hours would have been nice (maybe our number was inaccessible due to the network outage, I don't know). Ultimately I was really disappointed in how the network outage was handled at a national level, and knowing that uhaul doesn't have back-up network restorations in place makes me not want to suggest the business to others.Nathanial C.
