My rental vehicle needed to be returned to a location other than the original rental location. I called and arranged a one way service with uHaul. The orig location called me and asked me why I had not returned it and I explained the situation. He yelled at me and said “are you stupid?”! This location manager should not be a rep of U-Haul.I have made several rentals over the past year. This location was the absolute worst. The U-Haul business model allows for one-way rentals. Unfortunately my two way rental needed to be a one way rental. I was allowed to change so his range directed to me was inappropriate. His rhetorical question Are you stupid was beyond inappropriate. If he had a set that to my face I am unsure what the results would be. I expect there would be blood and teeth on the floor. Moving can be unpredictable and the stresses are ever present. He should know that. His rudeness was the worst example of customer service I’ve seen ever.

I had to rent a uhaul for 4 days, not for a big move, but needed to be out of a place Tuesday and allowed to move in on Saturday. I have done a lot of moving for people and am a frequent uhaul user that knows the costs well. I was informed that it would cost $40 for each extra day we had the truck, which would be $120, which I was ok with because I know the cost of the truck would only be around $100 or maybe a little more because of miles travelled. I reserved a truck in Ingersoll, only to have it switched on me to the Tillsonburg location. I had to put $350 down right away, and was told that was because of the extra days. So i figured that was my deposit. After the move, I cleaned the truck out and put $70 gas in the truck to bring it back to the level I received it at. Now when I dropped the truck off I was informed that I still had to pay over $200 for the extra days, bringing the total cost of my rental to over $600 for a simple move that would usually have cost me about $100, and I was expecting the extra $120 in extra day charges, and was willing to pay nearly $250-$300 in total. I was shocked and appalled to find out i had to pay so much on my moving day leavibg me near broke. I was informed if I had gotten the truck in London and drove out of town I would have saved hundreds of dollars, which makes no sense to me at all. But overall, i am extremely disappointed in the experience and will be contacting head office to dispute the costs of my truck. Faithful customer that is questionable about returning.

I only needed a small truck or van... van was there but was told it was rented... Instead had to take a monster truck - paid $60 in gas + more per km + more for daily charge... and then found out the van did not rent. If customer wants a small vehicle and there isn't one available - customer should still pay rates on the vehicle he wanted - not based on availability.

The woman that served us was extremely rude not professional..even stated are you going to buy something as we were browsing the store like we were bothering her. Customer Service was extremely lacking by the lady that served me. Also the man that was assisting in the hook of the trailer failed to inform us that the ball and hitch had to be tightened which nearly resulted in a runaway trailer after 20 kms on the 401. Drop in Lindsay was quick friendly and courteous, even though we're expecting poor service again. Was happy the location in Lindsay understands the true meaning of customer service. Overall not pleased, I have used uhaul many times but was massively disappointed with this experience.

When I ordered the truck I told them I needed it for 2 days. When I arrived it was booked for one day. I spent more then 30 minutes while they attempted to change the work order to two days with help from the telephone support. They couldn't change the paperwork. The sign said $29.95/day plus 69 cents/kilometer. The trip was 70 Kms= $48.30 + $29.95 = $78.25. The charge on my credit card was $129. When asked to explain I was advised the rate is programmed by head office. Once insurance and taxes were added my total was $168.37. The costs should have been less then $100 all in based on advertised rates. I phoned the UHAUL Rep at 1165 Oxford Street in London to advise I would drop off the vehicle one day later then the agreement said and was advised that was fine. When I arrived to drop the vehicle off I was told they wouldn't take it and I must return it to 112 Clarke Road.

For one don't overcharge on gas got the truck with quarter of a tank of gas put over that back in it when bought back and got charged double the price don't think that's right I don't think that location should have U-Haul

The gas station was out of normal gas, so I had to fill it with expensive premium gas. I was also charged an extra whole day for having the vehicle a few hours past return time. I had to wait for the keys from my lawyer, added with the stress of moving a young family to a new town. I was hoping for a smooth transaction with U-Haul, as I've had positive experiences in the past. My overall experience with U-Haul this time was not good. The only bright spot was the friendly attendant at the location.
