The truck was reserved out of the Kitchener location two weeks ago. On the Friday before our move, U-Haul informs me that I have to pick the truck up in Goderich?? So U-Haul is expecting me to drive 2 hours to Goderich and pick the truck up and drive it back to Kitchener. On top of that, I have to put gas in the truck out of my pocket to bring it back to Kitchener. This was totally ridiculous. I contacted the Kitchener location and voiced my concerns. The U-Haul rep didnt seem to concerned about my issue and stated that this was the closest location. I stated to him that I reserved it out of Kitchener and one would think that this is where someone would pick the truck up if it was reserved two weeks ago. This was totally unacceptable and I told the rep that. He suggested that I call another U-haul number and they might be able to help me out. I stated that isn't that your job to help the customer to which he replied "No". Since U-haul had jammed me up the day before I was suppose to move, I had no other choice. I called the other U-Haul number and explained my situation. The representative stated that it was very busy this weekend and I said "I'm sure it is that is why I booked a truck two weeks ago"! Anyhow the closest truck I could get was in Tilsonburg. So I had to drive to Tilsonburg and pick up the truck. This whole situation was costing me time and money for both the rental truck and using my personal vehicle to get the truck. Very disappointed with U-Haul and I will not be using them again or recommending them to anyone. Very poor business practice and certainly no way to treat your customers.

After spending over $800 for the rental to move 4 hrs away this location was no help. Our car broke down, lost man power and I called to see if I could have the truck for a couple more hours. Nope, hundreds of dollars if I was over 2 hours late with the truck. It absolutely killed myself and everyone around me.

The gas tank should be full upon pickup and should be filled upon returning - this will avoid guessing how much to put in to match the level where it started. This particular truck had severe issues with the rear door rollers - extremely rusty and we were warned not to open the door all the way or it would stick. Someone pushed the door open a bit too far to load our furniture and was almost impossible to get closed again. This needs to be fixed before further rentals. I had to drive an hour to rent this truck as the size needed was not available for the time period I needed from our local dealer. I was informed of this after the rental was made and late on Friday afternoon making it difficult to scramble for other options.

The scheduling manager asked to pick up my truck at Tillsonburg even though I scheduled to pick up at London location. And He said he increase the mileage for me but it has not reflected on my contract. So this. result an overcharge fees.

Go to pick up trailer and half the lights don't function. Guy at store says I didn't hook it up right, it's one plug lol. Three lights at back don't come on. Plate lights are out. Fender lights on p/s didn't work until I hit a bump half way through my rental. Fenders need to be welded again. Chain rubber holders both damaged. I had to explain to him that u haul has mechanics that safety and maintain equipment. It's a fineable offence to have lights not working etc. This trailer was the same last time I rented. Get it fixed already. Oh ya and the crank is so bad you can barely turn it. Awful experience

Hire staff that actually knows what's happening, and enough staff that can handle the work load of running a story a gas station and the u haul portion. My biggest problem is with in your company and when I pre order a truck for the city I live in and I get sent 45 min out of town to pick up my truck, and I get no discount no extra gas and I'm doing your work for you, and on top of that you send me to the worst possible place with zero customer service skills. U haul as a hole is a complete shit company. I personally will never ever use u haul ever again.

When someone rents a certain size truck over a month in advance... make sure the truck they ordered is at location for moving day. Not say sorry we don't have that size truck the day before moving day and totally screw people up when doing an already stressful task.

Notified the day prior to rental that truck was not available. Had to go over an hour out of the way to rent a truck. Was told that I would be covered for the extra milage because of this but ended up getting charged for the extra milage in the end.

My over all experience was completely terrible. Straight from ordering all the way through the drop off. I personally will NEVER! Use this company again. The worst customer service iv ever experienced, I also had to pay to do your job for you, and cost me more in gas then needed, by having to pick my truck up three towns over when my town has 6 locations and I ordered my truck weeks in advance. Possibly the worst customer experience ever this company is completely useless. Thanks for nothing u haul.

Only 1 person working. Had to handle gas station, convenience store and UHaul. Was given keys and general area where equipment was. Only I walked around the equipment. No help loading car onto trailer. The employee only looked at hook up of trailer to truck.

The woman that looked after me was excellent, she went out of her way to get me the truck I needed because I was having trouble getting one I needed from another location, she is very knowledgeable at performing this part of her business considering she also runs the gas station

Renting a u haul was the worst experience. After booking 10 foot truck ahead of time (about 1-2 weeks in advance) Uhaul contacted me LESS than 24 hours later saying the truck i ordered was no longer available because the company incompetently mismanaged the amount of trucks and reservations. I was given a 26 foot truck instead to move out my little studio apartment with almost no furniture in it. I was originally supposed to pick up my 10 foot truck in London and the person said the only location available close to London was Tillsonburg. This was all told to me less than 24 hours before my move out time. Going to Tilsonburg delayed my arrival to London by 1 hour. Additionally the truck we were given was not great. Its engine light was on consistently and it was "jerking" on the highway signalling a potential issue with the fuel or engine or something else. I had ordered supplies for the move and none of them were in the truck i ordered (i asked for them to be on the truck) and they would have had to been picked up at the london u haul location. This left me with no supplies except blankets for the truck. On top of all this I still had to pay $110 for this as a student. I would understand if people were professional and the experience was smooth and convenient. This was the absolute worse experience I have had with a company and makes me feel like U-Haul scams people by overbooking their trucks leaving people with little to no time to pursue other options. I will never use U-Haul again and I will be sharing my experience with all my friends and family to warn them about the lack of professionalism and competence I experienced from U-Haul. The customer service worker who changed my van initially was also quite rude on the phone and giving me attitude when I was stressed about not having a car to move. He provided no genuine sympathy.

The service was not great. Location is part of a gas station so with only 1 attendant their priorities were for the gas customers. The units cab area was dirty, had a saw dust like material all over the front seats that we had to dust off so it wouldn't get all over our clothes. The door locks were sticking and when trying to lock and unlock them it was stiff, need to be lubricated.

The guy (Mickey) did not know what the hell he was doing. He was supposed to give me back $101 but only gave me back $48. When I called back to talk to him about this matter, he said one moment and hung up one me. I went to the location and he was doing something and charged me another $101 instead of giving me the money missing from the first time. Then he called someone on his cellphone in Hindi the whole time then gave me his phone to talk to the person known his manager. She yelled at me over the phone and told me to come meet her at 9. Went to meet her and she showed me that the $101 was reimbursed but she did not understand that I am still missing $50 from his first mistake that was made when he was giving me my refund back. I would gladly appreciate getting my money back this was the worse experience of my life and i yet haven't received my money back. I am down around $400 which was supposed to be a $130 trip. Ready to sue!!! Assholes

The attendant identified that the trailer had a leak in the corner, so some water got in. In this instance it didn't effect what I needed to move. The staff and attendant at this location were very friendly and helpful. I would recommend renting from here to anyone looking to use Uhaul.

The vehicle had was just been returned by another party the inside of the box was dirty and I was asked to take the blankets out which I was okay with doing. The client returning before me the two of them were in a heated argument. If there was another rental option in Tillsonburg I would use it. I was quoted $40 for a day rental I told her I only needed it for two hours at most she never gave an hourly rate. Then I took out insurance $16.95 and advised I'd be an additional $0.89/km. I drove 6 miles or 9,65 Kms was charged for 12.69 kms. I told her mileage when I picked up vehicle denoted ending in 971 and the return is 977. She states I have picture but never shows it. She didn't take one when I was there so who knows when picture was taken that she is noting. Then she said I had to fill up truck or be charged extra. It was at half when I picked it up and the gas hadn't moved but I put more gas in it just to take it past half. This lady was from the return end was nothing but rude and disrespectful perhaps it was due to the confrontation she had prior with the other customer ahead of me and I just got the rough edge as a result. I was told this lady is the owner so all I can say is lighten up and don't be so rude and disrespectful. Uhaul should step in and give this owner customer service training.
