You need to figure out a way to move the steel wall behind the drivers seat back about 6 inches so that a large person like myself can move the seat back a little further to make driving safer and a little more comfortable

Tammy (I believe was her name, though I called her another after we had left) was the absolute worst customer service rep I have dealt with in a very long time. Not only was she uninformative, but she was completely condescending. She should not work in any customer service position for the sake of society.

I returned the trailer at about 7:20 pm, after hours, and one of the gentlemen was just locking up, his ride was waiting for him, but he took the time to help me take the trailer off my truck. Service above and beyond.

The location was changed 2 days before I wanted the truck. I then had to accept a lesser size as the size i had booked was not available, and the new location was out of my way. I arrived at the site which was closed to do the self checkout. 45 mins later after talking to cust support, the app would not work because it said there was an error, someone came out of the U-Haul and was very helpful to complete my checkout. Not the best experience.

The employees at your physical stores are always friendly and accommodating. The online booking process however is a nightmare. I booked a 9' van at the Raymond's Car Care location in Liverpool for an 8 am self pickup (and have an email to verify this). I arrived and logged into the app to begin the process to find that the online portal thinks I am picking up the van at 8 pm and the vendor is not open to assist me with this at this time. I then spent 45 minutes on the phone with customer service speaking with 5 different people one of which was very rude (scheduling department in Syracuse, wouldn't give name). So because of the error that occurred through the online portal I had to drive an additional 30 minutes out of my way wasting time, gas, and money to pick up a van at the Thompson Rd location. Staff on site were friendly and helpful. But because you all have a monopoly on moving vehicle rentals in all of central NY I am stuck using you when I am in need of a vehicle for moving. Over the last decade myself or my spouse or friends have rented vehicles through you at least 5 times. 4 of which have been very frustrating and unpleasant. Stick with over the phone booking and abandon the online nonsense, your systems do not function as intended and are rage inducing for your customers/users.

When you “reserve” a truck through U-Haul, it is not actually held for your use as would be expected by the definition of the word. I reserved a 17’ truck on their website only to be contacted and informed that only a cargo van was available - the agent stated “we let you reserve anything in case of cancellations and it does not mean the vehicle is actually available.” They are also heavily pushing self-serve vehicle checkout, on a mobile device, as a way to save time by skipping the line. The process did just the opposite taking around 15 minutes to complete. At one point you are asked to take a driver headshot photo and then a photo of your driver license. The two then needed to be compared/verified by a live agent which took a full 3 minutes during which time I was just standing in the parking lot unable to continue the process. Then you get to a point where you are to retrieve the vehicle key from a lockbox using a combination supplied by the app. I was unable to retrieve the key without assistance from an agent as the code provided was incorrect. The self-serve could be convenient in the future if the issues I mentioned were resolved, but for now stick to the line.

I was suppose to receive a longer auto carrier. The one I got was short. The tie down straps, where hard to keep tight and require additional stops to check them.
