The chains were to large for the holes on the hitch. The cable wires were not on the trailer and no assistance from agent with hook up of trailer and your hours of operation are a joke 9 to 4???? People want to get started early!!!!

I picked up the 20 foot moving van. The paperwork indicated the tank was full. I drove a total of 42 miles. To error on the side of caution I added fuel. At the end of the fill up I had put in 8.7 gallons of gas for a total of $43.00. When I turned the van in I brought this fact to their attention and the lady said, "we check it on the sheet". I advised her that I saw the red check on the paper, but I don't feel it was accurate. At that point the guy that was there came in and advised me that he gave me a $19.00 credit. I saw that the conversation was about to gown hill so I paid the bill and left advising them that I would be writing U-HAUL. If I were going on a longer trip I probably wouldn't have found the discrepancy. I wonder if gas is being removed from the vehicles and customers are suffering the loss. Gas in this area is very high priced. I suggest you may want to check this out.

The vehicle had an odor in the cab that was almost unbearable. Additionally, the windshield wipers did not work adequately and the windshield was filthy and difficult to see out of.

First I want to say that the woman behind the counter was doing her very best to help us and those that were in the office. She made it very clear that she was just filling in and that the office closed at 4 o’clock. We got diverted to the Susanville lot from Reno NV . We were at the office at 3:40 PM and exited the office at 4:25 PM. There was three other customers that came in went during the time she was helping me and the employee was very frustrated attempting to take care of everyone and their issues. I ended up having to call a customer service representative to get our order filled. I was more frustrated that the franchisee owner was not there to help or someone with more knowledge to help during a very busy time of fires and the Burning Man demand. The fact that there was no one out in the lot where the equipment was kept was of great concern for someone not attaching the trailers properly. Again the lady behind the counter was doing the best job she could with the knowledge she had, however was extremely short to voice and frustrated attempting to take care of the customers needs.

They didn't have the trailer as promised. We had to travel an extra 120 miles to get the trailer. No phone call to warn us. The location was fine, she was helpful but the no trailer sucked big time.. That was in Reno Nevada so we had to travel to Susanville. Things were good there. Next time you don't have a trailer for us call us so we can make plans to travel farther...



I rented 2 dozen moving pads for $20 and forgot to take them, I called the next day to let them know I never received the pads, the lady assured me once the guy returned he would adjust my order and remove the pads. When I returned the trailer I was told the moving pads were still on my order. I called and left a message during business hours but never received a return call. For me if you tell a customer something is going to be done just make sure you do it. In my mind they just stole $20 from me and don't even give a second thought about it. After I signed the paperwork the guy showed me the trailer number and told me that there was only two out there. I asked him if he was going to come out and do a walk around with me and he said they don't do that. Ive rented several trucks and trailers through the years and NEVER had no one ensure the customer had the correct equipment and ensuring everything was good, Again just not good customer service, all around I was very disappointed. I'm sure nothing will be done but wanted to put this out there.

I had to go to Susanville to get my trailer because the online software messed up my reservation in Reno. The Reno facility had an AT but for local use only even though I Houghton I had reserved it online for a one way from Reno to Denver. Not a good experience.

for some reason when doing a self check in for Susanville, CA. it wanted me to return to The Woodsman in Janesville, CA which is farther than Skyline self storage? I had to call UHAUL and request Skyline for drop off. It took a while for UHAUL 1-800 number to respond.

We returned the vehicle almost 2 days early and with more gas then we took the vehicle. We gave the destination, Susanville Ca to Olympia Wa. We were charged for 21.8 miles over expected miles. It wasn’t much, but it feels rude to be charged more then what they contracted. They had the vehicle earlier and with more gas. Moving is stressful enough and then have a petty bill is not the most positive experience, it actually creates a bitter feeling. With 30 years in the military, we have never had this issue. If you charge this petty fee then what about refunding the $40 daily rate for bring it back early? Along with the $14 safe move insureance?? I repeat: a petty charge creates a bitter feeling.
