The gentleman that helped us return the trailer was amazing! This location was very helpful! the 1 800 call center is NOT! Reserved a trailer and then had to wait 4 days and had to pay for hotels until a trailer was available. U haul would not help at all, no discounts etc. I have used U haul many times but now I will be telling others to be very careful and customer service at the 1 800 # ....no! Go to a actual location. . I was very disappointed that my trailer was not available when I received a confirmation etc. You should not be able to pick trailer info etc and then not receive it. I spent over $600 waiting for a trailer and my Husband and I were 3 days late to our new employer. Not happy with u haul but very happy with this location!Ne'Cole J.

I made a reservation online for a motorcycle trailer , I went threw the entire process all the way to the confirmation. This particular trailer is exactly what I needed and was $14.95 plus tax. When I arrived I was told both there motorcycle trailers were already out for the day. This did not make sense because online it said it was available and allowed me to reserve one. They did put me in a much larger trailer and I was able to pick up my bike but at a much higher price. When it was all said and done instead of what I thought was going to be a $14.95 rental plus a few bucks for added insurance and taxes it was over $50. If you don't have something available don't let it be reserved online and held only to say you don't have it upon pickup and be forced to go with something more expensive and that in my case loading a motorcycle was much more difficult in this higher trailer.Russell L.

I arrived to find that the storage unit I had reserved was NOT available. Original agreement was for a 10 x10 first month free with the rental of the truck. I was offered two 5 x 10 units and I would be charged. I'm very unsatisfied with U HaulWANDA H.

The staff at the South Lake Tahoe office were great, no complaints about them. HOWEVER, the fact that I had to drive to South Lake Tahoe from the Bay Area was a BIG problem. It completely disrupted my move, I didn't get a large enough size truck (U-Haul's fault) and now I have to make a return trip to the Bay Area to get the rest of my things that had to be put in storage. U-Haul management should pay people to deadhead its vehicles back to the Bay Area. Pass the costs on. Seemingly, U-Haul is waiting for a customer to move the vehicles back to the Bay Area, and that is not likely to happen in a timely manner. I am greatly disappointed in U-Haul and the whole experience. Why couldn't I have been informed earlier of the distance I had to drive to pick up the (inadequately sized) vehicle? Also, why wasn't I immediately offered a trailer to attach to the smaller truck? If the trailer was in a different location than the truck, why couldn't U-Haul have hired someone to put them together? Why wasn't I offered a storage unit immediately upon U-Haul informing me that the closest truck (smaller than requested) was 200 miles away? Instead I needed to complain that the truck was too small to hold my possessions, which only became obvious when we were packing the truck. I don't think this one-way crisis in the Bay Area is being adequately managed.Denise L.
