Truck was dirty, could barely see out the window. Gas tank was less than 1/2 full and the pre-check in didn't save any time as they couldn't read the information.

Owner forgot my reservation (that he made) and rented trailer to someone else. Although he committed to me first he refused to hold up his word even though I was a routine customer. Not anymore. Can't work with people who do not keep their word.

My rental reservation was changed from a 9:00 am p/u 5 min. from my house to 45 min one way p/u at 2:30 pm for the truck and a 3:30 pm p/u for the car dolly at a different location. My move with Uhaul was a nightmare l. I did not gen done loading the truck until midnight, by myself. Day laborers do now work in the evening. I had to miss the first day of a new job so I could hire a helper. I was going to rent from Budget both wanted to save $50.00, bad choice. I have used Uhaul for my last 12 moves. I also had to use a smaller truck because the nearest p/u location was a 2 hr drive away, one way. I am not sure if I would use or recommend uhaul. I did call customer service, the lady did not care to listen to me and her only response was if I wanted to cancel my truck the day before my move.

1. The cargo van had no gas ("E") I was told I would get a credit for gas, it never happen. 2. We rented the van from soquel California to to San Jose California a 1 hour drive, We were told to return it back to soquel California not only did this Make our trip longer but we had to pay the extra miles which I consider a ripoff. We could of save some money by dropping it off in San Jose California. 3. I was given no paper work or receipt. If we would of gotten pulled over by an officer or if we have had a car accident how can I proof I actually rented the van? How can I proof I dropped off that van on time? How can I see what I was actually charged for? Then they send an email with a receipt attachment, a png. document that you can't even open!

You really shouldn't hire con artist to represent your company. I was told I was going to be charged for another day because it was brought back 20 minutes late. Picked it up on the 19th and was not out the door until 7:30pm, even though the computer says 649. Not only was did the first employee trying to fill out our paperwork and get us out the door, he had to do cashiering as it also doubles as a gas station and convenience store. We were very patient and waited. Upon returning 7:15 p.m. On the 21st that is a little over Forty-Eight Hours, (two days) I called prior to our returning the van told them that we were in route to return the van and would be a few minutes late, no problem the second employee said. But when we got there he said that we would be charged for a third day for being 20 minutes late. I said if I'm being charged for third day, please give me back the keys and I will keep the vehicle until tomorrow at 6:49. Oh no you can't do that the vehicles reserved, excuse me I say you cannot double charge or rent the vehicle twice. That's not right. it is not my policy, this is the company's policy this is U-Hauls policy there's nothing I can do about it. He also said we had to pay cash for the gas I question this and ask why isn't it all on the card. He said that this is just the way we do it if you don't like it I will call the police. I asked for a receipt did not get one for the cash gas charge, and he said the U-Haul receipt was on my email. Unable to pull up my email until I got home, when I did I see it, and that there was a gas charge, plus we paid cash. He finally did not charge for the third day he said that he was the one that checked us out I said you're absolutely incorrect in this it was not you it was a gentleman who was black you are not black. I said you need to roll back the cameras and see Want actually happened when we were finally able to leave, that we really aren't even 20 minutes late, as the person who did check us did not get us out the door until 7:30pm the 19th, he said he would call the cops and was very threatening, I told him that he is representing a company that I very much doubt would approve of your behavior. This kind of treatment or with this kind of behavior is very unprofessional and should not be representing your company, it gives your company a bad name. It is clear that the employee was trying to add some cash to his pocket. Which he did get the cash for the gas we payed, I hope you watch the tape.
