Unsure how the hourly rental works. I reserved online and estimated 2 hours. I returned the vehicle within 1 hour. When does the clock start clicking and when does it stop? I arrived just around 1:30, but didn't get out the door until several minutes after, then I returned the van close to 2:23 and was still charged for 2 hours. I would like more detailed information on how the hourly rate is calculated.Tracy B.

Only one thing but it cause big pain in my knees by the end of the day for a 26' truck with very hight box the ramp is very short and that makes it to deep down and up which makes so hard and dificult to download heavy stuff and it was bad for my knees going down many times normally those trucks have a long ramp Uhall need to be carefore with safty equipment if yuo dont have the right ramp to replace it? I do not recommend this location. Your reservations and plans based on those reservations will not be secure or respected. I recommend booking through a uhaul warehouse where they will not tell you you can't use the entirety of the reservation you booked in advance without being charged for an extra day. The staff were super helpful. The location was a bit odd, as it was just a desk at the gas station counter. The only reason for my rating as "Average" is because I had opted for the mobile check-in, which I thought meant that I could check in within 10 or 15 minutes of the scheduled time. However, I was not able to do so until the location officially opened. If you're not able to actually use the mobile check-in, then it shouldn't be available as an option at the location.ADAM E.

Van's rear right blinker didn't work. We were already en route when noticed and had to purchase and fix ourselves. We did get offered a reimbursement for parts and Uhaul.com has promised to offer a 20$ inconvenience fee. This is appreciated. We were checked in and out quickly at this location, which is good...but perhaps a bit too quickly, as the above check in didn't allow us time to note the blinker. Take your time checking vehicle. I also prefer paper receipts to look over. Rep/owner was pleasant to us, just busy.Crystal R.
When I arrived to drop off the employee behind the counter was on her cell phone and deferred me to another employee (or owner) to complete my drop off. He was assisting another customer so asked me to wait outside which took 20 minutes. I just received my receipt and they charged me an extra day. I rented on 8-26 at 7:41am, returned on 8-27 around 9 am and was charged for a return on 8-28 at 5:01pm. I feel the Soquel drop off location either is intentionally overcharging me or is just really bad at bookkeeping. I have spoken with U-haul and am still waiting for a response from the Soquel locationâ€¦â€¦Mike R.

My vehicle was damaged from a branch that was protruding into the parking space that the owner directed me into. My van was damaged and the owner refused to give me his insurance information or contact info. He rudely told me to call the police. This was not a police matter. I have photos. Make sure you take a picture of the mileage. They tried to charge me for 40 extra miles. I also was charged for gas because it was given to me low on gas and I had to fill it up on my own dime at $8 per gallon at his station. Very rude service with man talking over the top of me any time I tried to speak and insisting I was in the wrong. I was at fault for not documenting mileage myself. I never received a contract or a retun inspection when I handed in the keys. All in all I was charged $160.00 for a 39 mile move. It comes down to his word against mine Im afraid. When I was in line to rent the truck, the man in front of me was also getting charged for additional miles he didnt use, but he decided not to fight it.Christian W.
I am a frequent renter of your equipment. I use it for my job. I know that this is not true for a majority of your customers but it would, I think, help promote loyalty if you had some kind of perk for people who are frequent renters. Like a certain number of free miles (because it's the mileage that makes rental costs so high) for every third rental or based on # of rentals or something like that. It wouldn't eliminate anyone but it would reward customers like me who use your service for more than just an occasional move or something.Ricjard D.

The pickup truck had a filthy bed with dirt and debris. The truck, while having low mileage is quite banged up. I prefer a location where there is a walk around on the vehicle, so no effort made to attribute dents and scratches to me. Location only rated as well as it was due to its convenience to my home. Why do you NOT have cameras in your trucks. It seems common sense to have cameras for large trucks driven by inexperienced drivers. I'm sure the cameras are very low cost now. Even my 6 year old Prius has a back up camera. Also, I have MANUEL window openers. Especially helpful for passenger side.Robert C.
