They gave me a really crappy truck, refused to take any information about the truck condition. Assured me that the same person would be there and to check in the truck and I shouldn't worry about the condition as they acknowledged it. I never had a chance to check the sliding back door and it never worked easy. I have used this company several times and historically have had good experiences and trusted them.

This was by FAR the cleanest, most organized, and friendliest U-Haul I have ever associated with, in at least two decades of being a customer. The staff and manager were friendly and respectful, and the equipment was clean and in good shape. I was late returning, because my movers ran late, and they didn't charge me extra. Overall, I'm a very satisfied customer.

I was not aware that I would be banned from putting my own stuff in my warehouse after 5. This led to a situation where the people working here were refusing to let me put the very last of my stuff in my unit at 5:01. I couldn't return the truck until I had the stuff out of it, and they spent longer arguing with me about whether I could put my stuff in the unit then it took me to put the stuff in the unit. It was an extremely stressful ending to an already stressful day.

Staff were friendly and the van was fine. But the after-hours self-return process was impossible even with a smart phone. When I got to the step of submitting a picture of the odometer and fuel gauge, it kept having me take a picture, then telling me that it needed a more recent picture. I had to give up, drop my keys in the box, and call a phone number to talk to a human and tell them I was returning the van... There must be an easier way to do a self-return.

Three (3) times, I instructed the staff that I was renting the cargo van from Thursday until Sunday and each time they some how came to the conclusion that I was bringing the van back the next day. The first time was when I reserved the van on Wednesday. I had made it clear that I was intending to take them cargo van for 3 days. The day I picked it up (Thursday) the woman thought I was bringing it back on next day on Friday. And I said, "No, per my reservation, I'm bringing it back on Sunday" -- And she said, "Oh you're right, my apology." Then on Friday, I got a call from the branch location asking where I was. And I reminded them I was using it for 3 days. And they seemed incredibly confused. This bothered me because no one, at any time, seemed to understand Thursday to Sunday is 3 days. It also messed up the rental estimation and it ended up costing me $211 instead of the estimated $109. Needless to say, I feel deceived and I'm hesitant to rent from this U-Haul branch (or any U-Haul) again.

I went to the wrong destination and they were unable to change my reservation over even though it was only a four hour rental for a pickup. I know it was my mistake in going to the wrong location but I would appreciate some help from the staff. Probably will just us another rental device next time.

Don’t allow the Arlington, MA. location to continue to stay in business and screw over customers. Thanks to their sheer incompetence and utter lack of professionalism, not to mention their lack of attention to detail, I spent nearly $400 to rent a truck because they were incapable of providing a key for a truck I “rented.” It’s quite clear that that the good name UHaul has established nationwide has been tainted by choosing local partners who are incapable of providing anything close to resembling competency. If U-Haul continues to “serve customers,” I will take my business elsewhere.

Christopher in the Somerville location was extremely helpful. Right on point. Great experience with him. As far as the equipment. I rented an auto transport. It was covered in snow and ice. Had to wait / assist in the ice scraping and shoveling. Just added extra time to the process. I went to this location based on website reviews due to the fact that the call center being very unhelpful. They had no idea how to look at surrounding locations to help assut me. I had to do it myself online. Got the excuse " well I don't live there, I don't know the area.". Well then why the hell is she assisting me in "locating" some equipment if she has no access to locations. She only looked 5 miles surrounding my zipcode. After that she was very uninterested in making any attempt to further my search. Not impressed AT ALL with the 800 gouhaul. Sad considering I have used UHaul for YEARS any rented dozens of auto transports, and locating one is ALWAYS A PAIN INTHE BUTT. I must give my credit card info Before you can even tell me which location has one. WHAT KIND IF CRAP IS THAT!!! Unfortunately UHaul gas the market cornered , so crappy service goes unlooked NON-STOP..

I’ve used this location several times, always very helpful. This time when renting a truck the gas was only on 1/2 full, meaning I’d have to return with 1/2 full tank of gas. Would have been easier if tank was full to begin with and all I had to do was top off. Other than that, easy rental.

The staff member who greeted me and set up my service was friendly and social, which was much appreciated during my stressful moving time. The one issue I had was that the rear bumper was covered in snow and ice, so it was slippery entering and exiting the truck (10').

My reservation representative made some major errors in describing the vehicle as well as pricing I suggest the representative repeat back to the customer what was reserved . The error added an hour to my pickup experience as well as they would not stand by what she said.

Mystic Valley Parkway, the main road to arrive at this location, has signs that say "No trucks", so I had to find an alternate route. This should be clarified for future customers. On a separate note, I did not know that I would be charged an additional $130 in fuel and fuel fees when dropping off the truck, otherwise I would have chosen a different cheaper option for moving my belongings. This should have been clarified much better to me.

The only complaint I have is that the moving van I rented was not well-equipped to deal with icy road conditions. The tires were unable to gain traction and drive up the snow and ice-covered driveway at my house.
