Had a storage unit the poeple working did not get off their butt to show where it was or give a map. The card key to open the doors didn't work. Upon looking for my unit after 20 minutes I went to the stairwell where the door locked behind. I called several times to have someone let me out of the stair well and it took 30 minutes. They were only a 5 minute walk away. Finally someone let me out but they were rude. The people are lazy, rude and stupid. I will never be back.

Location opened until 7pm on Saturday and had vans to rent Van had 10k miles but did not look new and was very dusty. In the back, wires were dangling. Tire pressure warning - low tire pressure Headlights during, hard to see at night Poor gas mileage - took 6 gallons to replenish after only going 30 miles. Lengthy checking process, rep had to enter info 3 times. At check-in, no receipt given and took overnight to get email acknowledgment.

This was by far the WORST experience I have had with this company. First off, I rented out a 5x8 tow behind. Than when I reserved it @ 9AM and went to pick it up, I was told they didn't have anything at that location. Although I had a reservation. And they informed me to call Uhaul to see what else they had in the state. I called the 1800-Uhaul and they said they had absolutely NO other 5x8 & all they had was 10ft moving truck for 600$. I didn't need a truck I needed a decent size tow behind as I own an SUV to tow. They than said they had a 4x6 at a location, and reserved it thru them and drove to a SECOND Uhaul location in MASS; once arrived they told me at this second location I needed to drive to a THIRD location for a piece, because they don't carry that piece they needed. I than drove another hour out to now a THIRD location to get a piece to drive BACK to the SECOND location so I could get the tow behind hooked up. It was now 5pm, once I arrived BACK the second place told me they had NOTHING. As if I wasn't just there and made a second reservation and they sent me out to get a piece for this rental? After, complaining I said this is unacceptable & they assured me they would get me a 4x6 tow behind. About 7pm they came out with my suv and rental tow behind only to be seen it wasn't a 4x6 it was in fact a rental tow behind that wasn't even supposed to be taken out of state (when initially made the reservation I emphasized we were moving from MA > MD) so this small, i don't even know what to refer to this joke that they pulled out for me to use but needless to say it fit about 3-4 boxes. I had to leave a bunch of my stuff behind, resulting in LOSING out on items sense how it was the end of the month and we were MOVING out of state & some stuff that I could strap on top got ruined by the rain because it couldn't fit in the tow behind. Mind you this was about a 9 hour drive. This joke of a Uhaul rental was charged to my account for about 180$ that's not including me bouncing around to THREE different Uhauls in gas or the piece they needed but didn't carry. I didn't leave that night until about midnight, hence why I made the ORIGINAL 5x8 tow behind reservation for 9 AM. This was the MOST TERRIBLE experience I have ever had. Once I called Uhaul after returning it I was assured I would be given a refund and a call back. NEITHER HAS HAPPENED. This was not only the worst experience, but the most unprofessional experience I endured with UHAUL. And I will NEVER again rent from them NOR refer anyone to them. I will be following up YET AGAIN, with Uhaul about the refund I was told about to figure further things out. But overall UHAUL just wants to take your $ and wants you to spend the most $ you can and make it a hassle. Moving can always be slightly stressful but this experience with UHAUL was beyond stressful and a PIMA that was easily avoidable by the Uhaul company. The only somewhat good experience I encountered with this company was when I returned this joke of a “tow behind” to the MD location, where the lady laughed and said there wasn't even a skew for it and never in her years of working for Uhaul has ever seen something such as what I was given. But still helped me and returning the Uhaul was no issue.

I had no reservation, but I was accommodated quickly with the vehicle I needed. Fast and efficient rental process. Fast and convenient drop-off. Vehicle was in excellent condition. Clean (Windshield needed cleaning on the inside) Absolutely no problems. Repeat customer at this location. Will return whenever I need to rent anything.

All my experience with u-haul is good .. But this time They asked me from this branch pay an additional $ 20 amount They say opposite fee for after hours service, other than the agreed upon rental amount, 42 dollars, knowing that the car was used only 4 hours

Everything would have been fine if I didn't get in a filthy truck that had not been emptied out not even cleaned.....I literally had to throw a Patriots mask out that was in plain sight on the dash.....Faaahkin nasty. An what happen't to the days where an employee walks out to the truck with you an walks around the truck checkin prior damage or even cleanliness? My family and I have used UHaul for years and this location without a doubt provided the WORST customer service experience I have ever encountered with your company. All of the employees were rude, unorganized, clearly in a rush to complete tasks quickly instead of properly, and with complete disregarded to maintenance and basic safety. To start, I waited 40 minutes for them to search for the keys to my truck that they had misplaced without any explanation or updates. Then, when I got the truck, it displayed a low tire pressure warning and a broken taillight that I asked three people to look at and they all refused saying it was fine (I was never sent a vehicle inspection link that worked to report the taillight and later found out the tire was at 30 out of 80 PSI and I had to stop to get it looked at at another UHaul location on the drive). The tow dolly I also rented was hooked up to the truck incorrectly with safety chains not put on properly or at all. Similarly, the safety pin holding up the ramps came out twice on the drive resulting in me using about 5 hours of my time on the road getting it fixed well enough to continue driving. Then, I was called during my drive saying they didn't log my equipment number properly which later posed issues with roadside assistance. I called them back multiple times to provide the right number and to get this fixed, only to have them never pick up their phone (turns out they just entered a random number in the system which I found out when I tried returning the equipment). To top it all off, they were rude, condescending, and not a single staff person wore a mask in accordance with Massachusetts COVID-19 ordinances while interacting with me. This location needs some serious auditing from UHaul's head office as they will at best continue to make your company look bad and at worst keep sending people out with faulty equipment and services that could result in a serious accident.

I was given the keys to the wrong cargo van. When I went to customer service, no apology, I was told "just go out to the parking lot and look for someone" - what?????? When I went to to the lot there was no one there. I had to go find someone who finally straightened it out. I was on a tight schedule and this took much longer than it should have

I signed up to drive 10 miles. I have pictures to proves that I did not even drive 10 miles. Truck was 3/4 full of gas. Now I find a $30 charge for gas. Total rip-off. Counter officer was less than pleasant, just going through the motions. Guys on the lot were just standing around, not helpful at all - could not have cared less. I want my $30.00 back. While waiting in line, a young girl was walking in through the doors by the parking lot and walking past the boxes. I reminded her to put a mask on. She rolled her eyes at me and walked past me into the bathroom. She came out of the bathroom and I said "you need to put a mask on you're in a public place" and she scoffed at me sucking her teeth. I said "you can't be in here without a mask" and she laughed and kept walking all the way into the back employees section. I asked the man, Tim, at the desk "oh she works here?" and he said "yeah and?" and she said "she's representing your company with no mask on during a global pandemic" and he said "she doesn't need to wear a mask in here" and I said "yes she does it's literally the la"" and he proceeded to tell me that there are a lot of laws with this "Covid bullshit, what are we supposed to do just have a mask on for eight hours" and I said "yeah there's a F- pandemic" and and he said "she's working" and I said "it's not like she was in your break room she was walking around the store with all of us customers in here" (there were about 6 people in the store). He kept yelling at me about how there are no rules about masks in the U-haul store. A lady behind me spoke up and said "you need a mask if you're near people" and he thought it was me back talking him again and he told me to "get the fuck out of his fucking store". I asked him if there was a manager I could call and he said "good luck finding him he won't give a fuck either" and another lady told me that no one wants me there and to leave so I left. I am appalled at this. I then tried to go to Arlington's store, which was closed despite it being only 4PM adn the doors saying 5PM. I called customer service and the customer service woman told me "they are open until 5" and I said "how am I supposed to go in there" and she told me "to go in through the front door" I said "what don't you get about the fact the lights are off and the door is locked" and she said "They don't close until 5" like that changes anything. I then asked for a manager's number and got referred to Bob who was kind and understanding and stated that the anti-masker employees would be former employees and I hope that remains true considering they are risking people's lives during a global pandemic in one of the most strictest neighborhoods.
