The van was not clean when I received it so the manager gave me furniture pads for free. However, he did not tell his employee, so there was some unpleasantness when I returned the van. It was solved to my satisfaction.

Make sure the UHaul is in good repair. The mirror adjustment knob was broken, making it difficult if not impossible to adjust the mirrors.

This establishment is in a Liquor store in the Kemp Mill strip mall. After the renting the Van and returning it. I was horrified when the owner called to ask where the Van was and he called on Monday (so they should have had plenty of time to check each van-truck returned that weekend). I had reserved the Van for 9 hours and returned the Van that Saturday evening and took the keys into the business - dropped the keys in the hand of the individual manning the store at that time. And I get a call about the Van - even said that they would have no choice but call the police and "report a stolen Van". I rented this Van as I have rented from u-Haul for over 17 years off and on. This is the very 1st time I received a call about a missing Van. I always return the rental on time, as I did in this situation as well. Is the customer supposed to be responsible for processing in the returned vehicle - if so I want to be paid for doing their work, that's not my job - I rent, I pay, I return rental, store employees process the returned rental and send receipt. If they do not want to do their job - pay me I will do it for them. This is a WARNING - DO NOT RENTAL ANY VAN OR TRUCKS FROM THIS LOCATION EVER. THEY DO NOT PROCESS IN THE RETURNED RENTAL PROPERLY AND WILL CALL AND HARASS YOU ABOUT A MISSING RENTAL. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH IGNORANT PEOPLE.

The truck had alignment issues and would sway on the right too much. It was a challenge to keep it straight. The lights inside the truck didn't work at all.

The cashier was very unprofessional. After indicating that I was there to return a uhaul vehicle he asked me first to email the receipt in 15 minutes without checking the reservation and then asked me to step aside while he checked out 3 other customers purchasing items within the store. The cashier was very rude to me when discussing the gas in the truck. Although there was more present than on pick-up he scolded me and said I lied since it was not full. This was a terrible experience.

I was going to pickup my rented van at Cloverly, MD when I received a phone call from UHaul saying that my van was available and I would need to go to another location to pickup a van of the same size. I had my day planned down to the hour and this threw a monkey wrench in my plans. I had to go to Winchester, VA to pick up a very heavy item and I hired a moving company to meet me there at a certain time. UHaul rebooked to a place that did not open until 10am! I had to wait for them to open! Another thing is that I don't normally go into liquer stores and this UHaul was in one - not very classy. The guy in the liguer store was nice, but my schedule was shot and I had to race to my pickup, which was 85 miles away. On top of this hassle, I had to pay for the extra mileage. Cloverly is .8 miles from my home, the Silver Spring Uhaul is 7.7 miles away. Roundtrip, that equals 15.4 - 1.6 = 13 miles I should not penalized for something that was not my mistake. Terrible.

It would have been nice if the cart, which the gentleman helping me deposited in the middle of the parking lot while I walked to the truck, had not been full of rainwater. Being dry and clean after moving it into the truck would have been swell. Also, I could not tell it was a u-Haul location in any fashion before I called them.

pickup scheduled for 8 a.m. and owner didn't arrive at facility until 8:20. With other person in line, he didn't get to me until after 8:30. I had movers waiting for me at the house and had to pay them extra due to the delay.

I could not find the specific location. I actually came into the location via the back door. I was very upset that the location, which was 5 minutes away from my home was changed to this location. If you reserve a truck at a specific location, that's where the truck should be on pick up day.
